Thanks dude. I got my car a month ago and unfortunately I have to replace part. I was gonna go ahead and do it since I've done it on camaros and firebirds. But this video cleared any questions I had before starting. Thanks man.
Just stumbled accross your channel! Great job by the way, I've been looking for a guide for a while. When will you have the installation video up? **subscribed**
Got here via Jalopnik and have subscribed after binge watching all previous episodes! Bravo! Entertaining, smartly edited, and totally watchable! Love that you keep the episodes compact at < 10 min...any longer than that lets my mind start wandering off to other things. MR2 is a sentimental favorite of mine, so looking forward to seeing the end result. Were you previously a mechanic? On some steps you appear to be a novice, but other times it seems like you've done this many times before. Cheers!
Thanks! Yeah, we feel 10 - 15 minutes is the sweet spot for our videos. We don't get enough done each week to warrant anything longer :) We're both 100% untrained amateurs, we've always worked on our own cars though, and we've learned loads from working on Misty. With this video I had already taken off the driver's side seal, so I had a good idea of what I was doing and had already figured out where you can take short cuts over the official Toyota method :)
You should get a head mount and a GoPro for this sort of stuff. Keep up the good work mate, really enjoying watching. You make me want to do something similar.
Cheers! We've got a gopro type camera, tried it attached to a bike helmet for some POV filming but the results were wobbly and mildly nausea inducing (see episode 3) need to get a proper head strap and try it again :) Do it! I seem to remember you had a much loved MG F at one point, you can pick them up pretty cheap these days
I hope you are still around to answer...what is the tool called that looks like a crow bar? To remove the rubber clips? Looking for my first Mr2. Found one that leaks so i'm searching now for how and how much. THank you for the video!
@@EnginesandUnfinishedBusiness awesome!! Thank you so much for coming through! I dont know what i want to do for an MR2. Do i want a k24a2 of some sorts or do i go v6 with supercharger. I want a mid 11 car.....so many options! Any insight or advice?
Thanks for this. Just sourced the seals from Japan, wanted to make sure I didn't break anything taking them off.
Happy to have helped 😊
Thx for this vid dude...couldn't have replaced mine without it
Really happy that you created this channel. Great video and montage!
Thanks for the video, Now to replace mine....

AvE would be proud of that ending.
So happy someone got the AvE reference! :)
Scrolled down to see if anyone mentioned the AvE ref :)
Everyone should have AvE references!
Just pulled out mine using your guide. thank you very much for this video
Great job with the video. It just helped me replace mine easily.
Thanks, glad to hear it helped you 😊
Great vid. Staying tuned in! Keep up the good work. Cheers.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :)

Thanks! Installation video could be coming very soon, as we might be keeping the existing passenger side seal, as it looks to be in pretty good shape.
Great! Thanks for replying, have an awesome day!

It's just possible I may have been searching for a project MGF... :)
Yeah, go for it! Mid-engine rear wheel drive is always the best option :)
Once I've persuaded herself I suspect I will... Now go record more stuff!

Can’t remember its exact name but if you search for a trim removal tool you should be able to find one, good luck with your MR2 👍

Any advice on how to remove the central black trim piece outside of the t-bar?
Awesome video man!! Hi from Virginia USA.
Thanks from Devon, England 😄
What’s the tool you were using to remove the clips?
Where did you buy new seals? I need some myself
Do you have a source for your JDM power mirrors?
They pop up on ebay fairly often, MR MR2 is a good seller and usually has at least one set in stock - www.ebay.co.uk/usr/mr-mr2
good old toyota .. always use a 10mm bolt where honda would use 6mm
Gotta love the Japanese consistency. You can strip down most of the car with just a 10mm socket :)
...not even an old one! xD
so much work involved =(
