    Thanks for this. Just sourced the seals from Japan, wanted to make sure I didn't break anything taking them off.

    Thanks dude. I got my car a month ago and unfortunately I have to replace part. I was gonna go ahead and do it since I've done it on camaros and firebirds. But this video cleared any questions I had before starting. Thanks man.

    Just stumbled accross your channel! Great job by the way, I've been looking for a guide for a while. When will you have the installation video up?

      Thanks! Installation video could be coming very soon, as we might be keeping the existing passenger side seal, as it looks to be in pretty good shape.

    Got here via Jalopnik and have subscribed after binge watching all previous episodes! Bravo! Entertaining, smartly edited, and totally watchable! Love that you keep the episodes compact at < 10 min...any longer than that lets my mind start wandering off to other things. MR2 is a sentimental favorite of mine, so looking forward to seeing the end result. Were you previously a mechanic? On some steps you appear to be a novice, but other times it seems like you've done this many times before. Cheers!

      Thanks! Yeah, we feel 10 - 15 minutes is the sweet spot for our videos. We don't get enough done each week to warrant anything longer :)
      We're both 100% untrained amateurs, we've always worked on our own cars though, and we've learned loads from working on Misty.
      With this video I had already taken off the driver's side seal, so I had a good idea of what I was doing and had already figured out where you can take short cuts over the official Toyota method :)

    You should get a head mount and a GoPro for this sort of stuff. Keep up the good work mate, really enjoying watching. You make me want to do something similar.

      Cheers! We've got a gopro type camera, tried it attached to a bike helmet for some POV filming but the results were wobbly and mildly nausea inducing (see episode 3) need to get a proper head strap and try it again :)
      Do it! I seem to remember you had a much loved MG F at one point, you can pick them up pretty cheap these days

      Yeah, go for it! Mid-engine rear wheel drive is always the best option :)

    I hope you are still around to answer...what is the tool called that looks like a crow bar? To remove the rubber clips? Looking for my first Mr2. Found one that leaks so i'm searching now for how and how much. THank you for the video!

      Can’t remember its exact name but if you search for a trim removal tool you should be able to find one, good luck with your MR2 👍

    Do you have a source for your JDM power mirrors?

      They pop up on ebay fairly often, MR MR2 is a good seller and usually has at least one set in stock - www.ebay.co.uk/usr/mr-mr2

    good old toyota .. always use a 10mm bolt where honda would use 6mm

    • @EnginesandUnfinishedBusiness
      @EnginesandUnfinishedBusiness  7 років тому +5

      Gotta love the Japanese consistency. You can strip down most of the car with just a 10mm socket :)
