I think they did that on purpose. Like the way the say nazi as "nutsy", it's to mock the party and the values it held. Either that or it's the English spelling.

Fun fact, Donald Duck received a service medal for his "work" in these propaganda films. He's also in the national tapestry of my homecountry of Denmark, in the part depicting the 1940's. :D

I love that when they're asking if they're supermen the fat one acts fabulous, and lord knows how hitler feels about fabulous men. I think it's funny how the stereotypes of the countries involved are included. Because that's how it is in war. They downgrade the enemy with propaganda to encourage men to fight against them and vuild more support for the war as well. And it makes it easier to seperate them from the people they are going to war with.

The fact i watched this at spmewhere in 2013 with dvd tapes made me realize how messed up i was.
I was 3 at the time.
During world war 2 disney retired Mickey for the entire war and instead fulfilled propaganda requirements using Donald. Either showing how stupid nazis were or how good the US was. My fav fact was that before his retirement mickeys last short ended with pete not as a villain but a cheering member of the crowd
This wasnt propaganda against the Soviets or socialism though, it was against fascism and the axis. The Soviets sacrificed the most to stop the Axis.
I really like the USA, and I am a 50% american myself, but todays germany is, in my opinion, the best country in the world, and I m proud to be born here.

i have a vhs somewhere that had a bunch of old bugs bunny cartoons/shorts on it, and well one of the shorts has bugs giving hitler a huge kiss then hitting him on the head with a giant wooden mallet... i remember i brought it into school when i was younger cuz it was movie day (also i had no idea who hitler was at the time). the teacher picked to watch it because the movies the other kids brought "werent appropriate for 1st graders." needless to say, she wasnt very happy with me once it got to the one that had hitler in it xD
