I used to work in an electronics store that had a bunch of display TVs which played a loop of Disney/Pixar movies, since they were PG and displayed the TVs well, so we saw Wreck it Ralph hundreds of times. The guy who lives in the Penthouse of Ralph's building is named Gene. He's the biggest asshole in the movie. Treats Ralph like shit and drives him away, then blames him for leaving... everyone hated Gene so much that we literally started labelling all problem customers as Gene's. "Ugh, had a guy come in with a return earlier today... total Gene, all the way, just wouldn't stop whining."
Interesting point someone else, ina another thread mentioned about Gene. Yes he is a total dick to Ralph, but there was a reason for it. At the opening of every game, probably every level, Ralph punches through Gene's apartment, grabs him and chucks him. As much as Ralph hates being the bad guy, I imagine that Gene hates getting yeeted like a dog toy 20+ times a day. Doesn't excuse him, but makes it understandable why it's personal with him. P.S. Love the codename for crappy customers like that.
When King Candy explains to Ralph what will happen if Vanellope races (around 27:50), it shows her panicking and pounding the force field trying to get out of the game. But at 36:12, Vanellope's actual reaction to her impending doom is basically the opposite.
The marine lady's backstory is extra tragic when you remember that cybugs turn into whatever they eat, so she had to kill her husband on her wedding day
Damn! That's probably what she was seeing when the camera cuts to her and she's screaming and crying while shooting. She just looks so traumatized and devastated, that explains a lot.
That line gets me too. One little thing I wish they had added into the movie. While Ralph is falling and says the Bad Guy affirmation, I wish he had just, quietly, said, "I'm gonna wreck it." Showing how he was using what he saw as his worst trait to do something good.
I think there's a similar line in Shrek 3 that always hit me hard, when the cyclops talks about his daughter. "If that little girl can love me, how much of a monster can I be?"
This film is so amazing because it has genuine character development. This is not a movie about plot, but instead characters accepting the circumstances of life that they are dealt with. Very relatable and very emotional and engaging.
My theory as to why Ralph never saw Vanellope on the side of the Sugar Rush game is that he was basically at the bottom of his game. Being in the penthouse probably means he's able to see it as he's higher up. Btw, i love this movie and thanks for reacting to it!
Well they stand on the roof before yeeting him off so he's up there every time a player wins the game but perhaps he wasn't taking in the sights before sinds he wasn't happy.
He had no reason before that to look at it, and even if he did he also had no reason to take in a detail like that, because all he ever thought about was how he never got the recognition he actually deserved; being on the roof all the time is why he always had the chance to see it but didn’t really bother to care for it since he was already sort of depressed with his situation

The scene where Ralph destroys the cart *just* as he's starting to see himself as something other than a destroyer makes me tear up every time. You can see how much he hates himself through every second.
Another thing is that when ralph asked what flavor his figure was in, one of the nicelanders said chocolate, and ralph said he didn't like chocolate. But when he lands in the chocolate pond after being saved he says he loves chocolate. This message can be taken several ways
"Why do animation films get to me?" I have a theory. When we watch a movie, one of the essential things going on is the willing suspension of disbelief. We know that what we are seeing isn't real. It's just 24 images projected on a screen twice each per second. But our brain shuts down disbelief. If anything jogs us out of that suspension, the movie or show stops being effective. If you've ever said something in a movie "took you right out of it", that's what you're talking about. It kicked you out of that willing disbelief. It allows you to be open to the story experience. This suspension is less when you're watching live action, and less with actual footage. You know it's a recording, but it is of real people, so your brain doesn't have to work so hard to suspend disbelief. But with animation, your brain has to be even more opened and willing to go along with it. When we are more open we are also more susceptible to influence. When an emotional chord is struct on animation, your defenses are already down so much more than with a live action that it pierces you deep. Combined with this, animation is such an involved artistic creation. Everything has to be created from scratch (visually, auditory, etc). They work and and write the whole story, drawing story boards along with it, able to see essentially a version of the end product through the whole production. Ralph and Vanellope are such a wonderfully endearing duo in their good times and bad times. In college, I saw this movie with a couple friends. Every time one of our other friends said they hadn’t seen it, we’d all go. I ended up seeing this movie 5 times in theaters because of friends who hadn’t seen it lol. It was amazing! If you haven’t seen Atlantis and Treasure Planet, they are critically underrated and worth the watch! I hope you react to them.
Honestly, I'm completely with you, I saw this movie in the theatres and it made me cry especially the part at the end when he pushes off Turbo/King Candy to break the Mentos barrier and says his famous line "I'm bad- and that's good. I will never be good and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be....than me." It was one of the few animated movies that I really cried hard on.
John c Reilly is a pure genius the fact that he studied his whole life in the field of drama acting what turns out he's one of the funniest actors of Our generation
For other animated films, I recommend these stand-outs from Pixar: - Monsters, Inc. (2001) - Finding Nemo (2003) and its sequel, Finding Dory (2016) - WALL-E (2008)
Seriously so much hate for Ralph he's been branded as the villain and yet the Nicelanders moved his stump and relocated him to the dump and placed their apartment complex where he used to live
This remains one of my all time favorite Disney movies for a reason. Your heartfelt reactions brought all those emotions back. I saw it in theatres multiple times. The ending song by Owl City one of my favorite artists was just a cherry on top of the cake. I'd never seen a movie that felt so made for me before or since. Well, I haven't seen the Barbie movie yet and I'm also a huge Barbie fan, so lets see if it keeps or looses that crown. ;)
Fun Fact: those donuts cops are of course a reference of cops loves eating donuts, and the donut cop’s names are Dunkin and Chris, which is obviously reference to Dunkin’ Donuts and Krispy Kreme,
The nicelanders really piss me off. First they treat Ralph like trash and then 'Oh surprise!', they see the repercutions of their actions. Ralph was right. He is even more important that all of the nicelanders together because without him the game doesn't work, unlike with them. Also, in the party at the beginning the DJ is Skrillex, he asked to appear in the movie because he made the song of when Ralph gets into a play of Heroe's duty.
Yep, the licensing for this movie was a nightmare to say the least, as everyone involved wanted their characters to be shown in the proper way. As you can probably guess, Nintendo was one of the biggest headaches(or so it was reported), but in the end, it was great to see so many icons in the same film. Roger Rabbit was a similar situation, but I don't think that went as well, since we never saw a part 2.
This movie was legitimately unique and incredible! Every part of the plot was tied together so neatly, even with the Turbo plot twist at the end, it just made perfect sense! Then they had to go and ruin everything with the second movie lmao. Do yourself a favour and never watch Ralph Breaks The Internet, it'll ruin the first movie for you. 😂
Some other very good animated films are: Ice Age (first one best), Monsters Inc 1 + 2, Toy Story's, Shrek's, Robots, Megamind, Finding Nemo, Kung Fu Panda 1 + 2, A Bugs Life. All those are great animated films and are ranked in the top animated films so far.
Animated movies like that are so emotional... Because it's really for adult's and kids... The story speaks to us more... Especially if we've been through a stuff like that... Watch Wreck It Ralph 2 next 🔥🔥
To me, the movie is also based on ableism. I was the first and only student in my school who had epilepsy. The kids made fun of me and didn't want to go near me. The teachers were scared of my seizures and kicked me out of their classes so I wouldn't cause any problems. The principal tried to expel me, but I was too well behaved.
That's actually very sad. Like no way these teachers actually treated you like that. Some people nowadays need to be more understanding towards others. 🙄
I'm pretty sure the school I went to is fine now. This happened back in the 90's. Back when the school had special books that taught the teachers how to take care of disabled children that were written in the 70's. For some reason, the 70's didn't believe seizures was a disability, so the school had no idea how to take care of me.
Thank u for being real with your reaction. I love watching movies and never thought someone would get into movies like I do. It's nice knowing I'm not the only weirdo. Thank u

Ik It’s a little late to say this (considering it’s a decade old movie) but I at least respect every character for being good at what they do… EXCEPT GENE!!! F THAT GUY!!! Felix is such a nice hero that seeing the bad in stuff is hard, he didn’t even know Ralph was suffering, and he offered to help him the absolute SECOND Ralph woke him up to his reality. Ralph is the nicest villain ever growing a father/daughter or BFF relationship with a kindred spirit, even Turbo is a great twist villain. Gene is literally the head of a place called NICELAND… and is the only jackass in that movie who’s not justified. How “nice” is that?!

If I may, I highly recommend embarking on reacting to the Marvel cinematic universe just from Phase 1-3, in other words, Iron Man 1 to Avengers: Endgame. I think you've watched Iron Man 1, 2 and The Incredible Hulk. It's really just starting to pick up at that point. Overall, a wild journey that's well worth it.

Film was sooo good! The whole concept around it was amazing! Reaction was 👌would love to see a reaction to second one too! thank you as always!
For other animated films, I recommend these stand-outs from Pixar:
- Monsters, Inc. (2001)
- Finding Nemo (2003)
and its sequel, Finding Dory (2016)
- WALL-E (2008)
Walle and Up are my 2 favorite pixar movies
I can't believe you listed stand-outs without Toy Story O:
@@FatLittleButterfly I personally am not a big fan of the Toy Story franchise. Too pedestrian for me, I think. 🤷♂
As well as Wreck It Ralph 2 🔥
I vouch for Monsters Inc. it's a certified classic.
I love the boba fett gaming chair
I love this movie it is an absolute masterpiece. This was my first movie I ever saw in theaters. So glad you reacted to it.
Seriously so much hate for Ralph he's been branded as the villain and yet the Nicelanders moved his stump and relocated him to the dump and placed their apartment complex where he used to live
According to the original manual of Donkey Kong, Jump Man was a abusive animal trainer and DK escaped and grabbed Pauline as revenge.
@@TheJabbate1 yeah that's accurate original Mario was a bad guy
I remember hearing people crying in the theater when me and my family saw this in theaters when I was like 8
This remains one of my all time favorite Disney movies for a reason. Your heartfelt reactions brought all those emotions back. I saw it in theatres multiple times. The ending song by Owl City one of my favorite artists was just a cherry on top of the cake. I'd never seen a movie that felt so made for me before or since. Well, I haven't seen the Barbie movie yet and I'm also a huge Barbie fan, so lets see if it keeps or looses that crown. ;)
Real life Princess Penelope reviews Wreck it Ralph.
Fun Fact: those donuts cops are of course a reference of cops loves eating donuts, and the donut cop’s names are Dunkin and Chris, which is obviously reference to Dunkin’ Donuts and Krispy Kreme,
No the Chris one is named winchell
The nicelanders really piss me off. First they treat Ralph like trash and then 'Oh surprise!', they see the repercutions of their actions.
Ralph was right. He is even more important that all of the nicelanders together because without him the game doesn't work, unlike with them.
Also, in the party at the beginning the DJ is Skrillex, he asked to appear in the movie because he made the song of when Ralph gets into a play of Heroe's duty.
Man, fuck Jean, all my homies hate Jean.
37:45 to Turbo I say " Goodbye and good ridden's "
Wolf children and Igor are two must see animated films.
12:00 Candy floss, ah, Cotton Candy! I had to watch in 2 days also. Wonderful smile!
This movie gets me every time. All the feels.
I knew you would love this, my favorite reaction video of the week ❤
This movie was legitimately unique and incredible! Every part of the plot was tied together so neatly, even with the Turbo plot twist at the end, it just made perfect sense! Then they had to go and ruin everything with the second movie lmao. Do yourself a favour and never watch Ralph Breaks The Internet, it'll ruin the first movie for you. 😂
He didn’t see the side of the machine I assume because he needed to be in the penthouse high enough to see it
This movie definitely deserves the title of film
"You hit a guy WITH glasses" 😅😅😅
You get bad messages because you know... Internet. BUT I think you're absolutely lovely!!
This movie makes me cry as well. Like actual tears lol and I'm a grown ass man.
It's just a movie reaction but it's nice to know u love movies like u do even though it's a animation.. I'm not alone. That means so much to me
4 minutes in And I'm already like boys this Goth princess has to be protected at all costs
Your reaction to this movie was funny and heartwarming.
Poor Q-Bert. Had his one game...then, nothing. I love Q-Bert
This is one of my all-time favourite Disney Films
Some other very good animated films are: Ice Age (first one best), Monsters Inc 1 + 2, Toy Story's, Shrek's, Robots, Megamind, Finding Nemo, Kung Fu Panda 1 + 2, A Bugs Life. All those are great animated films and are ranked in the top animated films so far.
Animated movies like that are so emotional... Because it's really for adult's and kids... The story speaks to us more... Especially if we've been through a stuff like that... Watch Wreck It Ralph 2 next 🔥🔥
How did I never catch the children of the corn joke before
To me, the movie is also based on ableism.
@@kittycatmeowmeow963 Ohhh that does make sense. I've witnessed other kids making fun of people with epilepsy, which still sucks to hear. 💔
I really enjoyed the Wreck It Ralph movies. They were funny and fun to watch. Great video Alyska. 🙂
Imagine that it's someone's job to wreck your bathroom/ bedroom window while you're occupying this rooms. How happy would you be
Thank u for being real with your reaction. I love watching movies and never thought someone would get into movies like I do. It's nice knowing I'm not the only weirdo. Thank u
I loved wreck it Ralph it's a amazing and awesome movie 🤘 also great video keep up the great work you do
This is one of my all time favorite movies but I still can’t forgive them for not explaining Ralph’s chocolate hate if he’s never had any cake to know if he hates chocolate
I went into this movie without any expectations and loved it so much! Definitely one of my favourite anime movies! 🥰
Personally, I think the message was something Forrest Gump might say...
"Good is as good does"
I’m a grown man and that movie always has me tearing up also. Love your accent and reactions. 👏😊🥰
Alyska, I'm on watching you react to
Wreck It Ralph this is a really good
film and glad that you are watching
it and i really liked your reactions of
it have a great week and Thank You
very much Alyska.🙂👍
38:21 my reaction: what?!!!!! Nooooooo!!!!! Please forgive em....... 😭
I've watched your reaction several times now. I think it's the thumbnail... lol. It's a very enjoyable reaction 🙂
I definitely recommend watching Tangled and Moana as well they are both so good just like this movie.
This means you're not ready for "Ralph Breaks the internet" either.
No one was ready for that slop.
Your face at 22:15 is priceless. You're like "oh my god, this girl ....."
Alyska, the movie UP, is a good one as well. It was nominated for best picture. IMHO should have won.
The saw isn’t even able to hurt you it only vibrates enough to cut the plaster and it basically scratches your itches if it touches you
Great movie! Your reaction made me just as emotional as the film did when I 1st watched it!
Well, Felix was not mean to Ralph like the rest of the people in the game seemed to be, he was friendly with him. Guess he could have invited him to events more, but I don’t think he knew how Ralph felt at any point prior to the movie. Good movie though I did not expect I would like it much.
Shame you left out the guy with glasses joke, I laughed out loud at that.
This movie always makes me cry! 😭❤
As a fellow person who is desperate to be included, I love this movie.
Love this movie so much, has so many good scenes. Just a cool concept too. ❤
I'd not seen this movie before! Thanks for the reaction!
Just saw a Star wars commercial with YOU in it !
“There is no one I’d rather be, than me”
Probably one of the best written and real quotes ever
If I may, I highly recommend embarking on reacting to the Marvel cinematic universe just from Phase 1-3, in other words, Iron Man 1 to Avengers: Endgame. I think you've watched Iron Man 1, 2 and The Incredible Hulk. It's really just starting to pick up at that point. Overall, a wild journey that's well worth it.
here the cameo of sonic, the hedgehog, since the 3rd movie is coming out on December
4:16
5:04
11:51
that is all until the reaction of the 2nd movie is out
Your cast was cut off with an oscillating/vibrating saw which won't cut through skin if you touched it
If you haven't seen it yet, The Emperor's New Grove
grew up watching this movie and love it and love the end
4:20 Poor Q-bert and friends... 🙁
If you love this movie you'll absolutely ... hate the second movie, dont bother. Just pretend it doesn't exist and life stays good, works for the rest of us Wreck It Ralph fans.
The roast of James Franco, Jeff Ross roasting Sarah Silverman, "Congratulations on the success of your animated movie, Wreck it Ralph. That's what guys do to your p@$$y, they wreck it, then they ralph." One of the best roast jokes.
