Please don't do this! Mains voltage is 110 to 230 Volts AC and it can kill you. Only the slightest mistake when wiring or operating and it could BURN your house down or make your family and friends lose you because of a stupid lunchbox. I think it's not worth that. Please take that seriously!

An overkill, such heating elements are at least 500watts. Too much for heating meals, and extreme heat will burn thw food close to the base while rest of it being still cold.
