I have a question when it says the audition is for a female voice, but the script has dialogue with a male or kid do you have to change your voice or is it okay to continue with your female voice?
Very informative. But, regarding doing the audio mastering yourself or outsourcing that, you said you basically spend all yoir earnings to pay for someone to edit and master the file...and yet you also mention earlier in the video that there's a residual income factor to audiobook natration. If the sound mastering gets you across the line and takes the headache out of it for you surely getting the residual income streams is the payoff.
Hello. I never said you’d spend all your earnings. How could that be, when we don’t know how much you’d earn? There is no guarantee of payment if you have a royalty contract. Yet, there’s also no limit to earnings if your book does sell. I do explain this in much of my narration content. But I encourage you to join my free class that is listed in the description if you need further clarification of audiobook narration and the process.
Hi Nikki. Thank you for your video. I've been thinking about starting voice acting/narration work for a while now but have no experience at all. I'm wondering where we start when that is the case? I have done drama/theatre arts and some singing in the past and now give tours to people in my current role. How can I utilize these skills and make a start from scratch? thanks
Hi Denise. I’ve been there. While the journey is different for everyone, I can say, the first thing to do is not overthink it and just start auditioning. But if you want streamlined guidance on the process from auditioning to getting paid, I suggest joining the Newbie To Narrator Masterclass. It’s a mini-course with lifetime access that outlines the process, tips to earn more, and how stand out from the competition. It also comes with a downloadable e-book to help you along the way. If interested, it can be found at: nikkiconnected.com/product/newbie-to-narrator-masterclass/ Wishing you the best of luck. 💕
You're so welcome! I have equipment on my Amazon storefront, which is in the description. Also, the video that was suggested at the end goes more in-depth about the equipment. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/ucc1742uMio/v-deo.html Thanks for asking! 😊
Question: in terms and conditions so these platforms own your voice? Meaning they can use the data to teach AI and replace us? FB insta basically says it uses our images.
I just sent my first audiobook audition. Ready to send more tomorrow!
Yes! I love to hear that. By taking action, you’ve already done what most people won’t. I’m rooting for you! 💪🏽😊
What genre book was the audition for?

A suggestion for another revenue stream is to sell recording templates for all DAWs. You have to have an optimal workflow by now. Sell that too.
Hello. I currently have workflows available exclusively for my Audiobook Blueprint students. Though I do appreciate the suggestion. 😊
@@NikkiConnected A template file comes with it?
Is Audacity sufficient for editing audiobook recordings? Thank you.
Absolutely! It’s what I use and recommend.

That’s an easy “no.” That’s not how that works. But if you’d like to be an A.I. voice, there are jobs for that.
Note that ACX is only available in a handful of countries.
True, but at least it gives us a reason to plan a world tour to spread the good news about ACX!
preety useful idk how to thank you
You're welcome!
Wow, ok!
Yes, girlie! Which of these would you use?
Can the voice of artificial intelligence be used in audiobooks in ACX AND findawayvoices
Nope.
