15:05 when I was a kid that used to be a paddling pool, it’s filled in now but it used to be really busy down there x
Hi 👋 Thanks for watching
Sad to hear it’s filled in. Loved Hartlepool 👍
@@Stchristopherofatlantis The paddling pool is still in use
@@relaxreflect5888 DEFINITELY FILLED IN... WITH WATER.... FAMILIES IN IT TODAY... PADDLING IN IT... 🤣🤣🤣
You did Hartlepool proud with your video.
Been here since 1985 and I love this hidden gem.
Don’t believe what the tabloids tell you about us. 😃
It was fabulous. Loved it. Places are what you want them to be and we enjoyed our day out 👍❤️
Another great vid
Thank you 👍👍👍👍
Thoroughly enjoyed your walk round the Headland, I was lucky enough to get married in St Hilda’s in 1982 and my daughter got married there in 2010.
Hi, The church is awesome 🤩
Thanks for watching
Hi guys,My boss drinks in that pub and he says it’s a great little pub, keep the good videos coming.👍🏻🙂
Cracking cosy, traditional pub. Loved it 🍻 👍
Class this!
👍👍👍👍
Nice to see something positive about our lovely town
It’s a fantastic town. We loved it ❤️👍
The town has some very rich history and some beautiful locations often forgotten in today's world. Thanks for the honest vlog from a born and bred Hartlepudlian 👏
Hi 👋 Hartlepool is great. The beach there was brilliant. Beauty is everywhere
Shhhh. The East Durham coast and Hartlepool are well kept secrets with lots of lovely nature. last year Hartlepool hosted the Tall Ships, what a sight to see, You also missed the Castle Eden Dene which is fantastic if you enjoy nature just a few miles from Hartlepool. Thank you for sharing.
Hi 👋 We hadn’t known about Castle Eden Dene. We will return 🐬👍👍
@@Stchristopherofatlantis You wont be dissapointed just wear good boots
Hi Andy and Clare 👋 just us 2 saying 👍thanks for sharing this video update 👍 Den and sue 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🚐🚐🚐
Hi guys 👋👋 how has your week been?
Great wee vlog again guy's.... Was Seaton where the canoe guy was from... Faked his death.... 👍 Have a great weekend ❤👍🍻
Yup. John Darwin. I live in Seaton. There was a steakhouse for a while called the John Darwin Room 😅
Also, someone mocked up a road sign and covered the Seaton Carew one. It said, “Seaton Canoe - twinned with Panama” 😂
That’s hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yes that’s right! He hid in his back bedroom 🤣🤣🤣
Wow that was some kittiwake / seagull poo . Where we live we’re not far from some amazing starling murmurations in the winter , they are beautiful but where they come into land there’s stinky 💩everywhere 😳. Another great vlog, you pair don’t half get around 😂xx
Hello. Busy busy 🚐🚐🚐🚐👋❤️
Loved the fridge joke in the church. 😂😂😂
🤣🤣👍
I walk that way most nights, past all those houses and pubs, love my home town, hopefully more people visit. Come on get yourself up to the Northeast.
It’s ace. We will return 👍👍👍
Love the little nod to The Canoe Man, John Darwin of Seaton Carew!!!!
I thought he was a member of the Oxford Carewe ?
👍👍👍
I wrote a long comment and lost it. Can't be assed to write again so here's the abridged version.
Nice teeth, cracking episode
Comment of the week goes to you 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍💩🤣🤣
Great video
Thank you 👍
hooked me with the song at the start
It’s a beautiful song
Me and the Mrs were there a couple of moths ago and they were filming VERA while we were there in 1 of the pubs.
Ooooh are you famous? 😀
just watched a vid of a couple in Glasgow they paid £7 for a cup of coffee!! yet they could have had a breakfast cheaper. I am from up the road at Peterlee and since I left in the 1970's Hartlepool has certainly changed.
Hi 👋 We really enjoyed the history and nature. The headland was super 🐬👍
The house at 14:30 as I remember was built by a ships master on returning to England to retire later in life, late 1800's
Fabulous house 👍👍❤️
Hi
Some of film Get carter ( 1971) with Michael Caine was filmed near here
We didn’t know this, great fact 👍
We are in Woodall Spa , Lincolnshire a very historical interesting place , lovely and a motorhome park at Jubilee Park 😊👍🏻
Hi 👋 Think we have heard of this. Do you recommend? I will take a look.
@@Stchristopherofatlantis Definitely yes I would recommend this Andrew very dog friendly , plus these villages have proper high street old school shops eating houses & pubs with Clare’s Madrí 🤦🏼♂️ , and it’s all RAF and Bomber Command 🇬🇧👏🏻👍🏻 area , Dam Buster memorial , Just Jane Lancaster bomber rebuild and lots more and your near the seaside 😊
👍👍thank you👍👍

Hellloooooo,
Lovely vlog of an area we visited many years ago, it certainly seems to have had some investment.
Shame you couldn't get into the Maratime museum it's defo worth a visit.
Not sure how you do it, but you always bring out the best in places and make them part of anyone's visit list 😊.
Brekkie looked great value, sorry about the beans Claire 😅.
Taxi back, why not.
Take care as always.
Paul and Joanne 👍♥️
PS loved the dolphin shots and the artwork.
Hi 👋 Dolphins were a surprise to us and an awesome site 🐬🐬❤️❤️
Lovely place, worth a visit
Brekkie was superb 👌 Could eat it now
@@Stchristopherofatlantis
👍😋 x
Looked a lovely place apart from the bird droppings. Great music again, thank you 😊
The kittiwakes are protected so they can’t be moved on. The homes, pubs and businesses just have to put up with them as best they can.
That was serious bird poo 💩
Oh is that what they are?
@@Stchristopherofatlantis indeed! My mates run the Fisherman’s Arms (the one with the fish wife mural) and they’re plagued with them. Doesn’t stop it being the best pub on the Headland, though!
@@Stchristopherofatlantis 🤣🤣🤣
Wayne Sleep the dancer lived on the Headland in Hartlepool for 10 years and went to school there. Also Janick Gers the guitarist out of Iron Maiden was born in Hartlepool
Love this. We remember Wayne 💃 👍
I live In Hartlepool and your video is a credit to the town . Most of your video is from the Headland but Hartlepool has lots of history.
Hi 👋 Loved Hartlepool and we tried to get around as much as possible in the time we had. Rich in history and nature, fantastic place 👍👍👍
Hartlepool is my home town, I’m proud of where I’m from but not proud to say I’m from there because of they way people react in a bad way 😢
It’s just a normal town to me with good bits and bad bits
We had a fab day out on the headland. Lots to see and do. The dolphins topped it off 🐬🐬
Its a pity you didn't go down York Road and the shopping centre area and the west end of Hartlepool . You visited just the nice areas, As some parts of Hartlepool are very run down and you would of met the real people of Hartlepool
Hi. We loved Hartlepool and wanted to visit the coast and marina. Thanks for watching 👍
My Wife & i have been watching your videos for a for a couple of months. My wife Margaret has decided on selling our caravan. The wife has only went and bought a 20ft FIAT DUCATO 2.5TD MOTORHOME Wait for it guys a bloody G reg thats right G reg 1990 no power sterring and she says don't worry about you can drive it. Come on is she take the micky or what. She has found and caravan motorhome site called pitchup.
Hi 👋 Your van sounds like a treasure and will be fantastic to have adventures in 🚐
We have booked some sites using pitch up and all been fantastic. Happy travels
Two tier promenade ? Have you told Keir ? I was seconded from Redcar Steelworks to Hartlepool South Steelworks before it was all knocked down, years ago. I enquired about the famous Hartlepool monkey, while i was there. They said that the hartlepudlians caught it but they took it to Stockton Malitia and they hung it ?
Yeah what a fascinating tale. We had a cracking day out 👍👍❤️❤️
Looks like a lovely place to visit
We enjoyed our day out 👍
