2:44 Boppin the blues with an unusual "electric blues" guitar arrangement. As perkins guitar playing filmed here musically clearly matches with what can be heard musically, it is clear that it's HIS guitar playing and probably improvised arrangement that gives this performance that blues rock flavour. Outstanding document. ❤ Lovely performance of "Dream" either way.
This guy is beautiful and love you all like ING his voice he is so good to hear from you and I will be around for us to hear from the past so many different bands to come
My name is Marty. I’m a 69-year old attorney and I live in Louisville Kentucky. I still remember when Elvis Presley and Carl Perkins started “rockabilly music.”
He was so far ahead of his time, he just needed the right audience & he found them that night, how I would have liked to experience that awesome sound !
SAW HOYT AXTON MANY TIMES IN CALIFORNIA, JUST WISH HE WOULD GET MORE PLAY AND ADMIRATION. ALWAYS LOVED SEEING HIM AT THE TROUBADOR, GOLDEN BEAR, THE MECCA, AND MORE. HE WAS ALWAYS ENTERTAINING BIG TIME!
Great video, thanks for posting!! I met Carl Perkins in the 80's in Nashville for a taping for a TNN special. Was he a sweetheart, even confessing that he was a tad nervous while waiting to perform. Sad day when he left us and joined Gods' heavenly choir, but then we have all his great music to remember his time on earth, Thanks ever!!
what is the name of the TV show and it's date? Thx for uploading! Edit: Saw your other up with Mel Tillis. There the information "Legends of Country music", which was pbs special, was given in the description.
Absolutely awesome! but what has he got that violin-player for? In playing like that man does, you wont get neither a acceptable tone nor a hearable volume... makes no difference, main thing is Carl, and he´s absolutely top!
This man was the coolest guy up until the day he passed on, in fact, even now that he's gone, he's still cool as can be

Carl was the real deal, his Rockabilly Session concert is one of the best rock n' roll shows ever captured on film!
He is so great. I love to hear him pick and sang. ❤❤

Rockabilly was started by Sid King in the early’50s in Texas and johnny Burnett in ‘51-‘52
The man was great...died too soon. Thank God we have his music.
Most under rated singer of all time

I don't know about the Legends of Country Music, but the Carl Perkins clip is from a concert called "A Rockabilly Session" circa 1985
Kinda makes you wanna....tap your feet.
Incredible! Amazing! Outstanding! Carl's toupee, I mean. His guitar sounds pretty good too,
