INGE KELLER SO BRILLIANT throughout --but even more starting at min 8:55.
After so many years I still find this whole show & everyone in it --Jürgen Holtz, Traute Hoess, Anke Engelsmann; Georgette Dee, Christopher Nell (ALL DAY, I'm telling you), THE ENTIRE CAST unforgettable. The music is great and the selection of sonnets is absolutely beautiful in German. Every now and again something about it pops into my head and I binge watch these clips. For days. Too bad the video of the complete show was taken down owing to a c/r infringement issue . . . 'cause I just wish I could see it again.

I'm just out of the theater seeing the last live performance of it ever, Bergen Festival, thank you speech by Wainwright and all. Numb. Went in on a whim, and have no idea what just struck me... bliss! I will be spending a lot of time on youtube in the days/weeks to come methinks.

Dag Anders! The same applies to me. I saw this yesterday, and now Ive spent a lot of time on youtube. I found it so esthetic in many ways!

I loved this evening. My mum and I went to Berlin for a very short weekend just to see this show and it was SO worth it!

Ich frage mich mittlerweile, wer die Menschen besser verstand: William Shakespeare oder unsere heutigen Seelenkundigen?
Shakespeare kannte vermutlich die menschliche Seele zumindest annähernd ebenso.

Shakespeare's Sonette? If it is Shakespeare then why is it in German? Shakespeare is an English play writer!

Most of the sonettes had been sung or spoken in german as well as in english during the performance. I saw the performances 8 times and can tell it for sure.
