First comment what’s up bro I started my dreads 3 months ago 😃 I will send you a pic of it on Instagram once it gets to the length that I want it to be😂 btw great video💪🏾
You forgot to mention that a person can have more than one hair type in their head. I have all of type 2. Other than that, excellent job!! My mom has wanted dreads for a long time now. He hair is around 3C but it's very dry and brittle. As she's getting older she does not have the patience for styling it every day.
For anyone wondering, trying using a wool knitted tam for about a month to a month and half not all day everyday but over the coarse of that time wool rub and then after that let it just rock out naturally and just wash and go every 3 days is how often I wash and if needed if it feels dry every now and then use some oils I use all natural extra virgin olive oil only if needed though after a wash to lock in some moisture but you don’t wanna over do it cus you risk build up, I have like 3b hair around there and I did this and it’s working great, I’m on my second set of locs right now
I basically been had my hair for 3 years my hair didn’t grow but when I started twisting my hair and stuff it started growing but now I’m trying loc my stuff. I washed my hair and twisted with sulfur 8 would that help??
I have the same hair type as you and maybe even 2c in some places on my head. I am free forming just fine. Anyone can freeform. Look up more videos on UA-cam. I didn’t believe it until i saw it lol. All Hair locs naturally. You just may have to be patient.
@@kisraxks1200 broo i been doin it wrong this whole time. i been using the spikes. so do i just transition to the holes? or i have to reset the process
I got a real confusing question hope someone has a answer. So yk how some pplz doesn’t grow past a certain length or size but the hair is still growing but it doesn’t show. So If I was to do towel rub dread method would my “dreads” even grow? yk wat I mean? Thanks or like so TheMunchBowl can see and answer the question
Yo @TheMunchBowl, I'm pretty confused about my hair type because my hair looks like 3c, but it looks a lot like the 4c as well. I'm confused because it looks like 3c or 4c but nothing like 4a or 4b, I'm thinking on getting dreads and if you could help me out I'd be very thankful!
He forgot to mention ur hair type isn’t bound to just one pattern like I have an almost even amount of 3b and 3c hair with 3c being a lil lower and a small but noticeable chunk of 4a coils every now and then I started with 2 strand twist and so far for first 5 months I’ve been seeing good progress
It would help if the pictures were black peoples … my hair ain’t that curly .. but it grows like a Afro … I’m 75% black and 25% white … I still can’t tell my texture
Idrk my hair type. I thought the pics would help. It they don't. My hair's like a puffy nappy kind. But my hair doesn't nap but my sisters does and her hair looks the same as mine
Most helpful video I’ve seen on determining hair type, appreciate it bro, 3C hair for me👍

I got a 3a/3b hairtype will my locs look more like straight locs or your type of locs?
They will be in the middle
More like straight locs. And they won’t be able to be as small as his

I have 4a or 4b, im growing my afro out so that i can get freeform locs
I’ve been sponging my hair and washing it and it hasn’t turned into freeforms I got 3c
It takes time.
@@TheMunchBowl I’ve been doing it for at least 6 months

@@jynex7503 if u want freeform dreads wash ur hair if u want semi freeform form don't wash it let it lock up first
Yep I got 4c and two months straight growing twist locks and it don’t looks like it grows
Yeah probably because you have a lot of shrinkage, once you get a retwist ur gonna see length
I think im 4a/4b (some parts in the front might be 3c)
k 1 wtf
There is a big difference between 3c and 4b
Relax_Rombey duh...my hair in the front is looser while the hair in the bacc is tighter but not super tight
i feel you my front hairs be like 3c then i got one hair that be straight
God Loves You Remember That 🙏🏾✝️❤️
more bangers
I got 4c and I just started freeform but I been sponging for the roots so I think I messed up
I think towel rub works wit any hair
Thx for the vid it helped a lot
Is it Normal I went for wavy hair to 3c hair after I hit puberty
How long does your hair have to be tostart
If you have 3 hair types, it takes about 3-4 inches to start. If you have 4 hair types, two inches is a good length to start.

Your dreads will grow if you do towel rub.It may just take a while for it to look like it's growing if you don't get a retwist.
