Was driving home after my wife was diagnosed with a brain tumour and couldn't drive without shedding tears listening to this song, thankfully she is OK now but this song still makes me sad/happy.

Fast forward 11 years and yesterday I attended a wedding and this song came on! I could not believe it, after all these years I have finally heard it again! Its been a long decade, this has remained the one song in my life I have always tried to find! Its such a popular song but I somehow never heard it anywhere after the first time back in college, yet I somehow still remembered the melody of the chorus to this day. So happy to have finally found this, massive relief in a odd way haha.

I was a teenager when this came out. Now I have a 1 year old daughter and I'm glad that she loves all the music I listen to (snow patrol, Travis, etc). Thank you for giving us some of the sweetest memories.
turns out all these amazing rock songs that I used to listen to and love on the radio were mostly Snow Patrol. in my mind the only song I truly knew was theirs was Chasing Cars. these guys are talented. sadly am only realizing this at the end of 2022. they are too underrated
