Get them both..... the Old Forester is good to have on hand and feel like it's a special pour. The Jack SB Rye will make you feel like your pour is a good deal. The more i drink the JD SB Rye, the more i like it though. Just my opinion. My introduction into high proof whiskey was a bottle of JD Single Barrel, Barrel Proof Chris Fletcher 2021 at 130 proof. I'm hooked on high proofs, especially rye....
@@Indianawhiskeyandbourbon this is the way. That’s an intense introduction to whiskey. Good for you haha we have made a drastic step towards ryes this year. Some great stuff out there and makes me excited for what’s coming
This is a battle of the BP Ryes that is too hard to call imo. Except OF is practically a unicorn and JD is on every store shelf in MD and $20 - $100 cheaper.
@BourbonBarkeep it's definitely super sweet, but it was the first rye whiskey that made me go back for a second pour. I still enjoy going back to it every now and then, it's a bottle that is always on the shelf
@@RobackD everyone has that guilty pleasure bottle and I love it. Doesn’t make it wrong. That’s why I try and preface some commentary with “my palate” because everyone is different. Makes it more fun. Hope you poured some tonight!
Both are great 👍 Cheers 🥃
There are certainly blinds, you could sit for another hour and just sip and enjoy.

Depends on the day. Both are great.
Absolutely. Which one do you go to?
@@BourbonBarkeep I like the OF the best I think. Either one could win in a blind on different days.
Couldn't have said it better myself
Kinda like trying to pick your favorite kid 🤔🫣
Depending on the week, I can see how you would flip flop back and forth haha
I've not had either one of these. Haven't ventured into rye much but now I want to try both of these
What an adventure you are about to be on! Keep us posted.

You aren't wrong. JD BP Rye is even hard to find in MO and haven't seen it in KS yet.
Angels envy rye = rum finished
Any good? Heard it’s a cavity waiting to happen.
