By the way, in case you were curious, if you use the "," and "." keys you can move backwards and forwards, respectively, one frame at a time on UA-cam. Thought that might help on those bits where you're trying to pause on a certain frame!

You should definitely react to the full campaign cinematics for Diablo 4. I'd watch that in a heartbeat. You'll want to find a video that leaves in tidbits of the gameplay containing critical exposition too though, otherwise you might be a bit lost with what's going on in the cinematics.

5:30 you did some. You covered initial cinematic where they introduced Lilith; and the cinematic where Inarius fights Lilith in Hell; and to the first release trailer over a year ago; it's near the top of your gaming playlist

Blizzard released a remastered version of the game (along with remastered cinematics) not long ago. I remember some company (a quick search says it was GameSpot's channel) made a video of the original low-quality version next to the remastered high-def one and even though they are really similar there are some changes that would be fun to see Kai comment on! If the old version or the newer had the better choice!
This was my first Diablo game and i absolutely loved it i get paid Friday and will definitely being buying this expansion

And so, Mephisto, The Lord of Hatred, is making his return.

To help you understand what's going in, at the end of the Diablo 4 campaign, there is a choice to either use the soulstone (the blue crystal) to capture and imprison Lillith, or capture and imprison Mephisto (realistically it's not actually a choice because it's scripted that Mephisto gets captured). Mephisto is one of the three "prime" evils, the Lord of Hatred. None are above him in terms of power, and the only beings on his level of strength are the other two prime evils (who are his "brothers"), Baal (Lord of Destruction) and Diablo (Lord of Terror). There are also angel counterparts in the heavens that are of somewhat similar strength, but the heavens tend to stay out of business involving Sanctuary (that's what our world is called). Anyways, the prime evils are in a "reforming" state due to a prior conflict that "destroyed" them (they can't really die, they just reform). When the player character and Neyrelle (the girl in the video) have the chance to capture Mephisto in his weakened form, Neyrelle captures him and later sneaks away from the player character with the soulstone with Mephisto trapped inside. The reason for her running was because she didn't want anyone else to get hurt, but her plan for what to do with it was kept vague (we only know it involves making it to Akarat's tomb). What wasn't accounted for when it was decided to trap him however, was the sheer power and hatred that Mephisto wields. So much so that the soulstone can't contain all of it, and that's why as he regains his former strength, his hatred and power is starting to leak out of the stone and into the world, therefore poisoning it. That's what you see playing out here. Also, her mother died early on in the Diablo 4 campaign by the hands of the player character, because she tried to kill us and Neyrelle while under the influence of Lillith.

That is a gross oversimplification. Angiris Council simply cant decide what to do. Half of them want to destroy Sanctuary, second half to either preserve it or just wait-and-see. Tyrael shed his wings for this exact reason, due to Council inaction. And with everything happening in High Heavens recently, they are simply busy with more pressing matters.
Simply put angels are more powerful overall than demons are. But their problem is hubris and arrogance, resulting in a lot of infighting and dick-measuring. In the end they simply cant get anything done.

This applies to all Prime Evils. They cant be destroyed and their soulstones will inevitably corrupt everything around them. Even High Heavens. Soulstone is a prison, but an imperfect one.

Probably worth mentioning that Vhenard followed Lilith willingly and committed a fair amount of atrocities in the process. I am not entire sure how much, if at all, under influence of Lilith she was. Latter offered woman knowledge and she accepted it, despite knowing better not to trust The Mother. Lilith simply gave her what she wanted - knowledge. And that drove her insane, as this information was not meant for mere mortals.
