Hi Olav, from a dark / dank morning here in England, summer is long gone and the trees have nearly shed all there Autumn leaves, the days are darker and nights colder, it takes no working out what season we are heading into………. I absolutely hate it. On the positive side…… I have this new gorgeous Burns Dream noiseless guitar to get me through it all, so I think I will survive ……. whatever happens. Olav, I am knocked out with this beautiful instrument, the sound is phenomenal, the precision unbelievable and the looks are spectacular, all in all I’m very lucky to own one. It’s No 17 of a series of only 50 made for the 50th Burns anniversary. Morning Phil, I checked out the ‘ Invaders ‘ they have done quite a lot of different material but this was about the best one out of them all ( I thought ) I think they were one of many 60’s groups from abroad who made lots of records but only had the one hit……… Quite a pleasant little tune with shades of one or two Cliff and the Shad’s songs and tunes amongst the notes I thought. It was fun to do and I’m pleased with the outcome although, how the day’s have changed the filming of everything now, I’m struggling to film with the harsh sunlight casting to many shadows in the morning and if I haven’t done all the filming side of things by around four o’clock again I’m struggling with lightning etc.because it’s to dark and grainy……. I just don’t seem to be winning with the video side of things of late. However………. I’m so thrilled with the new Burn’s which was a long time finding, I have been chasing one or two lately, without a lot of success I might add and found one company who will remain anonymous to be absolutely rubbish and lead me on a right goose chase, after two days of dealing with them I found the instrument they were supposedly selling was in China and it was going to cost another £350 in shipping fees, ( which they conveniently forgot to tell me about, I won’t be having any more dealings with them I can tell you ) Anyhow, thanks for your response , thanks for the ongoing support and thanks for taking the time to comment. @@ianwilsonguitarist3079 I have a similar problem with the video filming. Since I changed the window to patio doors in my music room - If the sun's out I get so much light which causes shadows and the cameras always expose to the brightest area so the result is a dark video. So I have to close the curtains to get an "Even" lighting and sometimes have to add a portable flood light. It's best on bright days with no direct sunlight. Glad you eventually found the guitar you were after.. Cheers Phil

I appreciate your response Ludwig, thank you. I am so thrilled with the new Burns Dream guitar, it by far exceeds all my expectations……… I love it. ( Plus it’s so cool to look at. ) I think only guitarists can appreciate the feelings you get when trying out something new …….. and immediately know that you have made the right decision. That is how I feel. I have always wanted one of these models but the price has always put me off…….. but I decided that if I didn’t get one soon, it would be too late to enjoy it. So, I took the plunge , not knowing how it would transpire. I’m pleased to say it was worth every penny and I would do it again tomorrow. There were 50 Dream guitars made for the Burns 50th year anniversary. This was number seventeen……… a superb instrument which I have always wanted. I can’t praise it highly enough and I’m very proud to own one. I thought using it for my latest arrangement was very apt, ‘ Dream On ‘an instrumental which I have been saving for such an occasion. It’s been well looked after and it’s in mint condition, I’ve been so lucky to have found it, not cheap but worth every penny. I didn’t realise just how good these instruments were until the last couple of days. To say they play themselves would be a stupid statement but ……… they certainty make life a ‘ Dream ‘ to play. The precision of them is unbelievable, you really do need to play one to appreciate how good they are…….. a real joy and pleasure to play. Thanks for your comments on my arrangement of ‘Dream On ‘ a lovely instrumental to play and one which I’ve held back on for quite a while. Loved playing it and pleased with the outcome. I can’t believe today’s footy results…….. teams have suddenly come alive but Derby are still struggling with their away games. I see City are licking their wounds and Arteta won’t be a happy bunny tonight but a very good result for Newcastle, a good result for Burton Albion today as well for a change. ( it’s all happening ⚽️👍 ) Well best go and make sure the new guitar is ok …. Polish the dust off again ……and cover it up for the night. Still can’t believe I own one. Forgot to mention the trem……….. no problems at all and I find it does work both ways, It’s very responsive but easy enough to get used to. Something I have noticed, is that because the plate of the trem is so big, you don’t always have to reach for the arm to get the effect, as a little pressure with the palm of your hand is sometimes enough to get the result required.
