Morning Krishna my friend………. I offer you thanks once again for your comments on ‘ Who shall I ring tonight? ‘ An instrumental which I have had for quite some time but only just got round to doing it. I was very pleased with the end result and also pleased to hear that you liked it too, yet another Roger Paulsson BT which deserves credit. The storm ripped through England doing damage as it came through but is now quieter times and we are back to a normal watery sunny January days at the moment. As we discussed earlier, we now seem to have the same weather pattern occurring on a regular basis, over and over again …….. a sign of the times ! ! ! ………. We live to fight another day at least.. Morning Phil, out of all the recordings of this song I personally prefer the Kenny Rogers version, by far the better version. But then again, it’s all down to personal choice. I really struggled to find a backing track which was an accompaniment and not a karaoke track with backing singers etc for this one, there wasn’t a great choice………….anyway, it’s done and time to move on…….. thanks for your response, I appreciated it as always and pleased you enjoyed it. We have had monsoon style rain all night tonight and the wind is still howling around, only just beginning to ease from around 9 o’clock last night. ( needs to cheer up a bit ) the good news is that the nights are starting to draw out, so good things are a coming. Thanks Alan, when I started doing this one I thought I knew what I wanted it to finish up like. It never happened…………. So many twists and turns bought me eventually to the finish line…….. it ended up sounding nothing like anything I’d planned. I went from Joe Cocker to Kenny Rogers to a Glee band of actors and back again at least twice before settling on this beautiful accompaniment which was just about the only choice available really. Loads of karaoke but a limited amount of just accompaniment backing tracks. Anyhow, we got a result of sorts eventually…… pleased you enjoyed listening to it and I thank you as always for commenting on it. Hi Dave, thanks for your good comments, the sound was achieved mainly by using my Strymon Big Sky… A wonderful piece of equipment which I acquired early part of last year, to me, it’s the best Multidimensional Reverberator Pedal ever produced, ( not cheap but worth every penny) so many variations to improve and make your sound unique. Hi Krishna, I’m thanking you again for your comments, this instrumental was due to be published on UA-cam and Facebook sometime ago, However, someone else did it, so I’ve held off doing it until now, at first I wasn’t that keen on it, but, after learning it for the second time I have grown quite fond of it, a simple instrumental yet very enjoyable to play………. One which I have become fond of. Thanks again for your response, So, you are yet another fan of the ‘ White ‘ Fender club……. there have been many over the past months and years , it has become a popular instrument of a lot of subscribers, ( probably the reason I use it so much ) I must admit that it does play and sound nice……. even if I say so myself.
