Morning Krishna, well here we are, Christmas morning and just spent the last half an hour going through Dan and Shay’s catalogue of songs on UA-cam and wow what a great duo, I wish I had found their material earlier, they have done some great Christmas songs and given me one or two ideas for new recordings. Thank you for introducing them to me, it’s always good to find new material, especially Christmas songs………….. loved their style / sound and harmonies.. I’ve just received a Copyright hit from UA-cam for my ‘ Merry Christmas everyone’, thanks UA-cam, Merry Christmas. It’s always good to know someone has the Christmas spirit ( ☹️👎 boo hiss ) encouraging times we live in. I’m going to leave you now to go and see if Santa’s been yet………………. Hi Joe, the privilege is all mine……….. I’m so glad my memories are of interest to people, most of the material I play are songs / tunes which I played back in my group / band days ( back in the 60/70’s ) and I still have them inside my head constantly wanting to be played again, it’s so good to be able to share them with people like yourself who appreciate them……. I’m slowly running out of ideas and glad we are nearly finished with the Festive instrumentals and it will be good to get back to playing normal instrumentals ….. I hope you are ready for the big day and hope all goes well at your end. We are celebrating along with family and friends and will be having meal out on Boxing Day for my birthday. Hi Al, glad you enjoyed your listen……….. I will be glad to sit and enjoy Christmas as only one more instrumental before the big day…….. It’s been a bit hectic here one way and another over the last week or so, I’ve been slowly slipping behind with all sorts of jobs….. now to top it all, I’ve had an issue with the sound drivers on my PC, just spent god knows how long messing about trying to sort it. I think I’m back to normal now but I could have done without the hassle today. Gonna sit and watch the footy I was going to watch at 4pm now………… Speak again before Wednesday. Hi Neville, thank you for your kind response, I have to admit it is getting harder to find Christmas material these days, so much so I’m seriously considering forgetting Christmas material next year all together, ……. ( I can do without the delving and the hours spent on searching for material for the sake of trying to find something no one else has done.) Perhaps something completely different ……… I do have a couple of ideas ! ! ! I’ll wait to see how I feel next year. But this year is sorted now and only a couple more to go……………which I hope you and everyone else enjoys. May I thank you for your support throughout yet another year and for your assistance in matters regarding recording etc. I hope you enjoy the Christmas period and have some quality time spent with your family and friends. It won’t be long now and as we are now ‘Great’ Grandparents for the second year, it becomes more important to watch them at Christmas time. HI Olav, I can’t remember doing this one one before, but it’s getting to the stage where I have done that many, that I’ve forgotten which ones I’ve done and which ones I haven’t………. It doesn’t really matter as long as you enjoyed listening. I thought I would add a different dress code, just to add a little flavour to the video. Hi Olav, the Eagles were a favourite group of mine ……. until I received two copyright strikes for using there songs for instrumentals …..so I have kept well away from there material ever since. ( so annoying to me when a group of their stature resort to hitting the little guy who is really only promoting their material…… it’s not as if I was making any monetary gain or anything.) Hi Krishna…………. Christmas chimes were the order of the day on this one, and they worked out perfectly, I’m glad you liked it, another new Christmas instrumental covered. This early German Christmas song makes for a good instrumental and one which I’m very pleased with the outcome of. With the day getting ever closer the excitement grows and grows for the little ones and it’s wonderful to see. We have a great grandson. Hi Geoff, this song popped up whilst looking for the BT to an instrumental which Ger Sanders posted some months ago, a song with the title of ‘Melodia. ’ which I can’t find a BT for ……. for love nor money. However, this particular song sounds very much like melodia and I tried using it for that song, but gave up and went back to the original song, Funny how we arrive at certain things. Hi Steve, took me ages to find the right BT for this one….. I knew what I wanted as a finished piece but couldn’t find the right track……. I ended up putting extra bits in here and there to get it as required and the finished product was just as I wanted it to be.
