Exactly the same for me. I had 2% left to do and I thought it was Helper to Hero. Turns out I just missed the buttons in Dyna Blade like an absoulte bozo.

Something to note about the whole "That's the last we see fighter in great cave offensive": Great cave offensive is a perfect loop, and allows you to loop through it as many times as you want, meaning any ability is infinitely obtainable since you can just go back to the start and go through it all again. I know this because as a kid I never actually got the warp star and just kept looping through great cave offensive forever.
@@aurastrikehe obviously can, the problem is collecting the treasures as well, the commenter is talking about a theoretical strat to get through any chest that takes fighter away, forgo worrying about chests to beat and loop to get fighter again, however this would be way more tedious so it obviously wasn't pursued in the video or necessary
The fact that you can only use Meta Knight's abilities in save rooms in the Japanese version makes me wonder if they found a glitch involving using abilities in save rooms & they disabled 'em instead of fixing the glitch. Or maybe they just did it so people wouldn't accidentally spend points when picking up putting down their DS.

I did a no jump 100% challenge in Kirby Squeak Squad, and the chest that defeated me was the one wheel level in Secret Sea. Literally every other chest in the whole game can be gotten without jumping except that one. It hurts real bad. If I were a tas master like you maybe I could figure something out.

ayo thanks for all the kind words! As for Amazing Mirror, I’d definitely be down but some games are harder to find good challenges for than others. I don’t know how interesting jumpless would be in that game for example since you could just keep the best ability for the entire game once you find it.

I've got a good challenge: Can you beat Kirby Super Star Ultra using only Copy? Rules are that if you want to use an ability you have to use Copy to get it first, if you lose that power then you have to get Copy first before you get another one. You also aren't allowed to use the ability pedestals, even in Milky Way Wishes (The sole exception being to get Copy itself). Mixing is banned in this challenge as well.
Couldn’t you have beaten the “sleep room” by using multiplayer and using the helper to clear out all the copy essences in front of Kirby while he follows behind? Granted, I suppose it’s better to beat the thing in singleplayer only

This level of tech variety largely doesn't exist in the GBA era games, since outside of the Smash ability, most GB/GBA Copy Abilities are one, maybe two tricks, like Fire as you see it in Superstar is split into Fire which has the Fire Breath, and Burning, which has the fireball dash attack In addition to the original SNES Superstar, this level of ability largely only exists in the DS games onward Definitely check out the GBA games anyway, just don't expect as much options, Amazing Mirror is an amazing and unique game for the series

I've watched all 3 parts and I've got to say, this 3 part series is awesome! Also I didn't know you could just get that Great Cave Offensive Treasure where you press the button and run to that door (Chest 34)! I could never get there in time to enter the door and guides told me I needed another player to enter in time, and I didn't have anyone that I could help with and it was the only treasure I couldn't get! Now I can finally 100% Kirby Super Star Ultra! (Once I find the game again, that is)

This game felt so big and challenging as a kid, I felt sad finding my old ds cartridge and going to play it but I stopped after the first level because I finished it extremely quick. I wish I could relive my fav games from when I was a kid with the same sense of wonder and challenge

Fun Fact: In Kirby Super Star Ultra, the only Copy Abilities (or similar abilities) that have exactly one special action are Copy, Stone, Wheel, Wheelie Rider, Starship, and the limited-uses abilities (Cook, Crash, Paint, and Mike), while Sleep is the only ability that has no special actions. Additionally, Starship is the only one of these whose special action can be activated with a button other than B (as A, B, X, and Y all do the same thing while in the Starship), and the only one (aside from Wheelie Rider or Sleep) that affects Kirby’s movement while not using the special action. Bonus: Starship actually _does_ have a Helper, but only in 2P mode (as helpers in 1P mode are destroyed before fighting Galactic Nova Nucleus or Kabula, and they cannot be created during those fights as the Select button does nothing while the X button does the same thing as the A, B, and Y buttons). Woot, Squeak Squad TAS coming up! I've already seen one... The start has a little ledge sliding technique used, but for the most part it uses Wheel to move everywhere and Hammer to kill things, also keeping either ability in reserve. Hopefully a 100% run makes everything more interesting, maybe even letting us see other abilities.

Hey, I just wanna say before my melatonin kicks in and I become a rambling incoherent mess, that I loved this series. The insane walls that seemed insurmountable, only to be destroyed by an absurd strategy. The desperation to find a new strat that would somehow save the run. The nutty levels of planning that went into each move. And the cruel reality setting in that it truly couldn't be done jumpless, only to be replaced by a newfound determination to keep the count as low possible all combined together to make an incredible challenge run. Am I getting a bit too overdramatic about a Kirby challenge run? Yeah, but I just really love it. So, thanks for making the TAS that introduced me to you, and for making this wonderful series. (btw mirror is a goated ability and you cannot convince me otherwise why did they shaft it again in star allies????)

I think the intended solution for the wind room is Ninja's drive kick, which is why there is a corresponding enemy there along with the pedestal. Definitely the easiest in terms of execution.

I know an awesome Kirby challenge that I've been doing and all those it's possible some abilities absolutely suck(parasol being the worst) and some abilities rocking(like water being the best).That's right the Kirby fighters 2 no jumping challenge.

This game felt so big and challenging as a kid, I felt sad finding my old ds cartridge and going to play it but I stopped after the first level because I finished it extremely quick. I wish I could relive my fav games from when I was a kid with the same sense of wonder and challenge

I just wanted to say thank you for bringing attention to my favorite game ever. Super Star Ultra is very dear to me and seeing all of the cheese and techniques blows me away. This whole series is amazing and thanks for doing all of this. Though, I'm a bit surprised that you apparently had a whole roast ready for Plasma last episode and didn't share it...

Fun Fact: In Kirby Super Star Ultra, the only Copy Abilities (or similar abilities) that have exactly one special action are Copy, Stone, Wheel, Wheelie Rider, Starship, and the limited-uses abilities (Cook, Crash, Paint, and Mike), while Sleep is the only ability that has no special actions. Additionally, Starship is the only one of these whose special action can be activated with a button other than B (as A, B, X, and Y all do the same thing while in the Starship), and the only one (aside from Wheelie Rider or Sleep) that affects Kirby’s movement while not using the special action.
Bonus: Starship actually _does_ have a Helper, but only in 2P mode (as helpers in 1P mode are destroyed before fighting Galactic Nova Nucleus or Kabula, and they cannot be created during those fights as the Select button does nothing while the X button does the same thing as the A, B, and Y buttons). After the fight with Galactic Nova Nucleus/Kabula, the Helper will return to whatever form it had before the fight (or become a random ability if it was created during the fight). It is the only ability to have a Helper but not an enemy/midboss variant or Copy Essence/Copy Essence Deluxe, the only Helper in Super Star Ultra that cannot be used in Helper to Hero, the only ability (aside from Meta Knight) with a Helper that cannot be turned into an item to be inhaled by Kirby or absorbed by a Helper to recollect it later, and the only final weapon to have a Helper. (Paint is the only ability to not have a Helper, enemy/midboss variant that can be inhaled for the ability (only certain attacks by Chameleo Arm or Marx Soul or the Paint Slime occasionally spawned by Heavy Lobster can be inhaled to gain the ability instead), Copy Essence, or Copy Essence Deluxe; Mike is the only ability that has multiple icons; Wheel is the only ability whose Helper can be ridden by Kirby in Super Star or Super Star Ultra for a unique secondary ability; Sword is the only ability that technically has two Helpers (though one is technically the Helper for Meta Knight, which is the only ability besides Starship that technically has a Helper but doesn’t have a Copy Essence, Copy Essence Deluxe, or ability item); Tac (for Copy), Plasma Wisp (for Plasma), and Sword Knight (for Sword/Meta Knight) are the only Helpers whose moves differ from their corresponding abilities even when not under water and not counting puffing; and Sleep is the only ability that has a Copy Essence but doesn’t have either a Helper or a Copy Essence Deluxe, which is why the Sleep Copy Essence is the only Copy Essence that doesn’t change the form/ability of any Helpers.)

Woot, Squeak Squad TAS coming up! I've already seen one... The start has a little ledge sliding technique used, but for the most part it uses Wheel to move everywhere and Hammer to kill things, also keeping either ability in reserve. Hopefully a 100% run makes everything more interesting, maybe even letting us see other abilities.
Squeak Squad was my first kirby game and I have a ton of nostalgia for it! So excited to see your TAS!

Hey, I just wanna say before my melatonin kicks in and I become a rambling incoherent mess, that I loved this series. The insane walls that seemed insurmountable, only to be destroyed by an absurd strategy. The desperation to find a new strat that would somehow save the run. The nutty levels of planning that went into each move. And the cruel reality setting in that it truly couldn't be done jumpless, only to be replaced by a newfound determination to keep the count as low possible all combined together to make an incredible challenge run.
Am I getting a bit too overdramatic about a Kirby challenge run? Yeah, but I just really love it.
So, thanks for making the TAS that introduced me to you, and for making this wonderful series.
(btw mirror is a goated ability and you cannot convince me otherwise why did they shaft it again in star allies????)

I think the intended solution for the wind room is Ninja's drive kick, which is why there is a corresponding enemy there along with the pedestal. Definitely the easiest in terms of execution.

I know an awesome Kirby challenge that I've been doing and all those it's possible some abilities absolutely suck(parasol being the worst) and some abilities rocking(like water being the best).That's right the Kirby fighters 2 no jumping challenge.
