i was thinking that also--i didn't mind at all paying for view from a blue moon, and the surfing in this rivals it. But i'm glad for all the true surf lovers that he made it more widely available. Because it certainly is needed right now.

@Aquatic Mullet Its not about contest surfing at all. Kelly pushed the limits and still does sometimes which is amazing but John is doing it consistently and taking it to another level.
@Aquatic Mullet Just to clarify, Kelly is the undisputed GOAT and it's not even close. But today, John is on another level since he is in his athletic prime.

Classiest "best surfer on the planet" that we have had in a while.......mind blow.....edit is beyond words. Featuring some of the best NS guys....all classy in their own right. Ending with "House of Circles" nailed one of the best tracks for a video of this intensity. I stand in ovation !

Well John. I don't know what to say about this movie. But here it seems that everything has reached the level of perfection. The surf was perfect, cinematography was perfect, the track was excellent, the editing was perfect. I am grateful to be able to watch something like this, because I come from the time of a film called The Performers, with Gary Kong and Marvin Folster and that for me was great. Imagine what I just saw. Out of the curve. Thank you very much. As a professional photographer, I would like to congratulate Erik Knutson. Erik, you took 20/10. An inspiration. Well, I’m from Brazil and I big fan from Gabriel, but I’ll never, ever stop admiring something of this level. Health and joy to you J.J. Florence.

OMFG! That is so intense it's almost too much to take in in one sitting. Even though shorter and more narrowly focused, I think this rivals or betters View from a Blue Moon for surfing brilliance and for cinematography. Your surfing and your videos (thanks erik)are just on another level from anyone else. That drop at about 1;53 made me want to cry it was so beautiful. made me think back to you winning the eddie. am so glad you posted this-my soul needed it after the mind numbing last two events of the WSL. i couldn't even watch them. it breaks my heart to see surfing in the jersey being turned into a joke-with the world champion possibly being decided by a pump and bump in a puddle. So it is good to see that real surfing is alive and well. props to jack on the 11teen :)

The entire video is amazing but the pipe section is off its head!!! Something special is happening when John John is surfing, its different then anyone else, not sure what it is but he is without a doubt the best surfer on the planet. I think we will look back on the Florence brothers as something pretty special and i dont think we give them enough credit for how crazy it is to have 3 brothers who are so dam good at surfing and they are all absolute legend people. Also the videography in this is nuts, beautiful to watch!

Now got Her Dream Done!! and I am So Happy for All of your Gang too!
