I've been playing campaign on Master for a long time but noticed it takes too long to progress. I changed the difficulty to Normal and I progress much faster now thanks to you.
Great Video. I started playing diablo 3 about a month ago. I only play on HC and am pretty much playing on T1 for my WD and Crusader. I feel T1 is a good place to farm once you get enough DPS.
It would be great to see a video specific to one particular set of content. Take rifts for example. Since rifts vary in size it would be nice to see an average of say 100 rifts done mapped along the reward chain. I believe the leg rate was released at one point in time. No guarantee it will or has remained the same, but if you could find those old rates and map it out in its own line it would be great too. Another thing to encourage people to do Torment I and higher is simply the fact that class specific legendaries only drop for Torment I and higher. This type of set gear can greatly increase your ability to advance in the game and gives you pretty neat abilities making your character a lot more fun. So while I encourage people to at least farm T1, if you can't, by all means listen to this video and try hard to get to at least T1 as soon as you can to base your farming strategies off of.
Thanks for the comment! I've made a new video that includes some of what you're saying: Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls - What is the best difficulty to play on? Updated Guide
Funny Fact...for some reason I have the same phenomenon. I can play T1-T2 whole day and find like 1-2 Legendaries. Than changed to normal next day and started finding like 2-3 Legendaries per hour while doing bounties....totally weird....
I just started playing Diablo again, after like 1 year. Suddenly playing crusader felt way too easy (I didn't know there were seasonal heroes and such things now). I decided to put difficulty on tornment 1 just for the fun. Right when I opened the first treasure chest I've found a really good legendary. There must be some math behind it.
Is it possible to create a chart of estimated sheet damage you need to be at each level of play? figuring the player can figure out if they are living or not, but over all DPS you should attain that will give you that 1-2 shot power for each level. As a Crusader I can survive T1 without problems in most elite fights, but Im definately not 1-2 shotting white mobs. Perhaps I need to scale down to an easier level, or perhaps sacrifice toughness for DPS, but having a ballpark of damage needed at say T1 to be able to 1-2 shot mobs would be of great use to me...then I can set my damage up to that level and see if I can survive.
It's possible that you're being efficient on T1. Check my updated guide; it'll tell you how long you can spend on T1 while remaining efficient. Giving concrete DPS numbers is tough, because it's really dependent on build and gear. I know a guy who has 700k damage who can't do T1, whereas I have 400k and I can. well i started playing as the crusader on normal... switched to hard because it was way to easy... then to expert cuz it was still too easy and its still pretty easy the crusader owns everything without even taking that much damage
I start on hard with new characters then jump up to expert by level 13-14. I pretty focus on cold/area damage and just dodge and roll if they get too close. But on my lvl 70 (46 paragon) wizard I play on torment 3 at the moment so Im used to a slight challenge
That's a great question. Blizzard has made it more efficient to play the game with friends -- if you are all roughly equal in power. Monsters are more powerful, but four people cooperating have the capacity to clear content much faster than a single person. That is, unless one or more people in the party are dragging the group down. I remember a friend telling me that he joined a T6 farming group and was getting crazy XP. He had about 100k DPS. I sighed. Sure, he was benefiting, but he was being a huge leech on the other players, and I'm sure they weren't happy about it.
Danzig Rulze That depends; do you have an end-game build? Speed T6 rifts are the best if you're end-game. This guide was released at a time when most people couldn't handle T6. The game is super easy today.
Math is flawed because you don't take overkill or boredom into factor, There is no best way to farm, there is just playing the game. For me? I grind rift stones in normal because its very easy. Get 100 stones. Do T1 Rifts with my 750k DPS fire barb. Destroy it so fast its like normal and find around 30 - 40 legendarys in around 3 hours of play. It's also rumored how Zakarune does his runs and hes 1 of the servers top geared barbs so.
Actually, these charts do factor in overkill into the time estimates. If you run the numbers, my charts will likely confirm that your T1 rift is the most efficient for you -- it is for me, as well.
I agree Normal as i do find A LOT more legs on normal then any other difficulty. However you have 0% chance of getting the level 70 torment only legs while doing so. I'd personally rather take the xtra 5 mins to do the torment 1 to have the chance of the Torment only legs.
Dude, your voice is a total stress relief without even trying! Thanks man :p
Hahah thanks!
***** Yep. Somehow my blood pressure is lower after viewing your vids.
(I have to check daily with the company nurse bec. of hypertension)

15% per torment for legendary drop rate that was from a blue post ill try to find it and link
how do you make it so that when an item drops there is a circle instead of words? or is that just what it looks like?
How do you think 2,3 or 4 coop affects these graphs?
Edit: I'm asking because of the group MF and gold bonus.

So Tier 3 is still the most efficient for solo runs even after 2.1?

why is the reward/time line going downwards?
Why do you think genius, think about it..
You get more rewards for less time
@iDerekMC: You're right!! More reward in less time should result in a higher number. reward per time
Well today i got about 15 legendaries from t1-t2 rifts
Nice! Yes, Rifts have a 25% bonus to leg drop rate.
Dude what class is that chick with the long spear and the demonic looking mask
Man, this is complicated :/
can I play with my friend whe nI play on pc and he on ps4?
No. No cross-platform play.
Playing on a more higher difficulty makes the game worth it

I do Torment 1, not because of the legs, but because it also gives pretty good XP, which you don't get on Normal.
Yup that to helps as we all want them Paragon points.
***** which exactly are the exclusive Legendaries from Torment? The epic class sets?
This blue post might help you out.

Hell difficulty.
Nightmare.
***** Pft... Nightmare was for noobs without dual SoJs + Enigma.
TheOphrys I miss Enigma :(
***** I'm pretty sure everyone misses Enigma. Especially the barbs with dual wizspikes.
Compared to your more recent videos you seem so uncomfortable here 😂😂😂
Hahah it took me a long time to become more comfortable in front of a camera :)
Why is he lowering his voice like that? Its distracting.
You lost me at the graph🤣🤣🤣🤣
