On main issue with augmenting - Flawless Royal Gems. Transmute them from other gems: pick needed Essence from Squirt the Merchant in the Act II and use "Darkness of Radament" recipe in the cube to change them into gems you want. 11:50 - you have x2 130% crit damage gems in weapons (the ones you switched to don't) also Guardian's set doubles the bonus to character's primary stat from equipment - that affects the numbers a bit, I guess that should be mentioned.

Couple thousand hours in D3 but haven’t played in about 10 seasons. I came back after the D4 beta because I have the itch again. I’m a HC only player and from what I can gather echoing nightmares is borderline not worth due to getting one shot in the higher levels and trying to run away to wait for overrun is hard as hell. Can you confirm this?
from my experiences with echoing nightmares the biggest threat (until you get to around wave 100) is the millions of molten elites, but theyre explosions are pretty easily avoided, so if you like stop killing things around wave 80 you should be fine since they dont really deal damage yet (just be careful of the "playercharacters" that start spawning around wave 75, I havent had any problems with em, but I dunno if I was just lucky or something)
How much higher a rift can someone complete for each augment gem they add on average? I am at Solo GR 112. Just started the grind for gems and ancients. Forgot how much each assist in next level of gr rift
Can somebody tell What recipe to use, to get legendary gem into some piece? Like this case, amulet has bane of the trapped rank 105 in it and have those damage buffs.
To insert Legendary Gems into the accessory you need a socket in it. You can choose a property to "re-roll" at Miriam's "Enchant" tab (press "?" on the right to see possible results) - once you choose the property to "re-roll" only that property will be re-rolled - a most common approach if you just want a minor change in the item, like adding a socket. "Law of Kulle" recipe in cube will re-roll the item completely - an expensive "make or break" kind of thing, best try it if you have plenty of resources to spend and an item you're willing to experiment on. On positive side of things - you can make an ancient item out of legendary, but it's only about 10% chance.
The higher the level the gem is the higher GR you need to do for there to be a chance to upgrade it. After the GR you should select the gem and see what the % chance of upgrade is. If it is 0% you need to do higher GR’s to upgrade
i completed the season journey and alter of rights / paragon 1100 in 3 days and just can't find the will to push or grind. any advice to help me motivate to push for a 150 clear or god forbid aug my gear to 150?
Finn is right I’d start by aug with 125s and pretty much every class can do 150s. Me personally I have a huge goal to do 120s-130s sub 2 min with each class
@@swineapplebbq6485 my comment was not intended to dunk on beginners. I have been grinding the last few seasons and over prepared and blew thru everything burning myself out. I have never cleared a 150.
if you have never ever done 150 yet, this is probably the season to do it, the buffs are so good, it's possible to do it even with relatively low paragon and 140ish augments; I've done seasons journey and 150 with a wiz this season softcore, 99% solo, I mean even the 140ish augments - pushed the GRs myself going for an upgrade at 60% chance; just noticed actually I got 2 pieces of gear that are still not augmented and yet I already did it; started a hardcore charactert to rinse and repeat, but yeah, have the same problem now - motivation is lost; also, in soft core opening the altar was a breeze, now in hardcore I still need to find 3 primals to get the final node, which sucks emensily; two hours playing this morning, rifts to find keys - no go; this game sucks, but it's addictive so much, I'm not excluding I'll be leisurally grinding those rifts to try and get the primals, meanwhile building a push build to complete 150 in hardcore - an ambitious goal, which, I guess I'll be somewhat proud of if I do it, but then again, who cares :-)
idk what everybody else is seeing here but my problem is he replaced 3 ancient items (one primal)(both weapons socketed with crit gems) with 3 base legendary items (with no socketed crit gems) and called it the "power of augments"!?!?!? your missing key core components to this equation! yes augments can give you a good boost of power but 3 augments ain't more than doubling your sheet weapon dmg its more reasonably adding 10-15% dmg which is huge, just not double.
Hmmmm change 3 items with complete diffrent stats no gems in weapon and compares the outcome???? yeah right. Also there is absolutly no need to augment any item without a whisper. If your character is not able to do solo or group echoing nightmare runs then he is not ready for endgame. Augmenting gear is polishing your char. I hardly disagree with the statement to augment instantly. Each lvl of the augmented Gem you add is compareable of +1 paragon in your main attribute.
If u wear the ancient item u augment it. If u don't u might as well wear a normal one with perfect roll. 650 main stat is 650 main stat per item. Augment any ancient item u need for your build. Fix the roll later
The value of augments in regards to paragon is 1600. If u feel u can afford to lose it go ahead. In beginning game play I find it a necessity to have that extra tankiness

FYI it doesn't matter if you augment a helm or weapon, you still get dex, int, or strength
Precious explanations. Thanks War!
Thank you for supporting !
Might wanna start including that some gems don't go max level like book or legacy.
This helped me alot, thx!
Awesome content.
Nice tips. Im pushing gr148 now with 1600 paragon. Any tips for faster paragon level?
Speed GRs, highest one u can complete in 2-3 min will give u optimal XP per hour
Hey do 4 man. 1zbarb-1zdh-2wiz. On good team +20tr xp/hr
I have the gems but its not letting me select them to add for the augment. Is it different for consloe????
Shouldn’t be, you have to have them in you inventory then move them over in the cube
Thank you for all. One question: can you augmant many times the same piece to be more and more powerful?
I am way late but no. BUt you can reaugment with higher gem for beter stats
When you show difference with/without augments u forgot to change 270crit dmg ... Ofc it will be "huge" difference
..
U got it ! 👍🏻
How much higher a rift can someone complete for each augment gem they add on average?
I am at Solo GR 112. Just started the grind for gems and ancients. Forgot how much each assist in next level of gr rift
So at 8 lvls lower than the GR you’re doing is when you will start to see the gem have a lower % to have a successful upgrade
So how much higher will each 125 augment gem allow me to clear in general?
Can somebody tell

in this case whistper is the legendary gem xD
