Your narration is priceless! 2 old people with enough information to be dangerous. I tell my kids... "I can do it because I have a wealth of useless information" and I "know enough to be dangerous". Yet with all of that I am confident enough to tackle anything! Watching this build has helped me with my own build. Can't wait for the next video.

Hello Barry, I love your work and attitude with this awesome project. I also enjoy lifting comparable boats on and off their trailer for periodic maintenance needs: My father-in-law showed me how a wooden block cut with a generous V- notch, ( to match the Hull's deadrise), on top of your forward jack will be more stable and secure supporting the boat for these multiple lifts. Thanks! David
Barry, I’m very impressed with the hull design, you have made yourself a very nice boat, You have got me wanting to do something similar. Very proud of your progress !!!
Hi Mr. Luke, I have an idea you may not like but here it goes. Make the fender out of fiberglass and make them strong so you can step on them. Good job on your electronic box. Frank
Frank I have thought of that also. Fiberglass is a little bit brittle so maybe not the best application but it is still a maybe at this point. Thanks and thanks for watching. Barry
Hey Barry man that boat looks good man, the flare in the bow and her shear line damn that's a fine looking boat you built . Trailers are always a pain in the butt , you will get her straight.
@@barrylukebuilds7894 Right under the bow as it sits on the trailer it looks close to the piece the winch stand sits on. Is there a block just aft of it? I had an odd tide give me some trailer rash after a 3 year build :(. Keep chugging along -you're close!
Just found your channel. You are doing an amazing job. The Chris Craft sea Hawk is a great hull design. I had one a few years back nice dry riding boat . I’d guess that boat will weigh 3200 with the motor if I remember right the boat weighs 3800 with a 350 IO. The etec G2 awesome engine . I think you will see 50 mph with that set up...
I’d bet she’s heavier then the stock boat even with a small block and out drive. He added a lot of structure to that hull when rebuilding everything. Which is fantastic cause it will ride better.
Hey Barry, have you considered just adding a taller wood bunk to the trailer. Would solve your wheel cover clearance issue and accomodate the shorter bunk brackets. maybe double up some rough cut 2x8 and cut a bevel on the inside to match the deadrise of the hull?
PJG Yes I did. The existing are 4 X 6's. A commonly sized piece of lumber. I would have needed a 4 x 8. Not readily available. So I went with the galvanized steel and cost wise it was comparable. Thanks and thanks for watching! Barry
You could have probably taken the roller in the back and flipped it around and put it on the front side of the cross member and maybe not have to move the front crank post
That was discussed at the executive meeting and we were concerned that if the roller was relocated the front of the boat would hit the steel cross member when re-trailering the boat. Thanks for the input and thanks for watching! Barry

I'm in love with the profile of the hull, can't stop looking at it!

I agree, for a 47 year old hull is still a pleasing shape.
Thanks for watching!

It is a good looking hull, just trying to do it justice with my part.

Nice work Mr Luke. You’re getting closer to getting her wet and burning some fuel!.
BOB
Yup, getting ready to order some fuel line and a fuel bulb. Getting closer!
Thanks

Very cool!
Thank you!!!!
Barry, hard to tell but you might want a vblock in front on the bunks. Hate to see your rig hit the trailer when you load. Looking good!
OK, you have my attention. I think I have that covered but a little more info would be help full.
Thanks Barry

Thanks for watching and I hope you are correct on the top speed. That would mean I would never have to run the engine wide open, ever.

As far as that goes. You could just move the bunks in 3” on each side which would raise the boat. Then raise the middle rollers to match.
Love the videos keep them coming! Keeps me inspired on my 21ft proline

Thanks, glad you have enjoyed!
Get to work.
