I bought it just to have another Leopard in the lineup, and the camo net looks great. I just find it comical to be able to respawn a half dozen times in a capable killing machine. Starting with the Leopard a1a1 l44, the 2k, 2a4, 2a5, 2a6, now the additional 2a4. Then the 2pl once I finish that. 😂
I purchased the tank yesterday, and frankly, I'm quite enjoying it! I've had a lot of fun in every single match, even if it was a loss. I would say it's a thing to consider :)
I personally got to help the grind, I get 9000 rp a game just for getting 2 assist, 1 zone cap and 1 kill its insane. And on top of that it looks cool. But please remember do not be a 1 spawn wonder ( When you die you have to use the Panther or something) If you have a good br 9.3-10 lineup you'll be fine and its worth the purchase. It also doesn't punish you for dying or losing as it has cheap repair costs and is easy to use.
Ngl I love the one spawners bc if they are on the other team I usually get a bunch of free kills, and I don't think you get a penalty for losing so it doesn't matter a ton if they are on your team too
The 2a4 is my favorite of all time I bought it as soon as it came out as some one that has never been in top teir I have done really good with this tank getting about 2 kills a game I love it and it has given me reason to get back into warthunder and grind to the standard 2a4
I just spaded tech tree Leo 2A4 and can remember any variant of it. I will still use Leo L/44 or TAM 2IP in my 10.0 lineup because of rewards but Leo 2A4 is my choice for long range night maps. Last evening I played with a 3 tines 75 % SL booster and we won just 1 game. But still every game gave me over 100k SL (the won game 190k) with just 2 ground premium spawns and then a bit air to air work in G/91. Together with premium account this is insane.
I have g91 and trying to grind German tech tree, stuck at 5.3 and it’s taking a while now so this comment is exactly what I was looking for thanks bro the info on how this premium lineup is, one question, how quickly does it grind the tree?

How well? 4 weeks after my comment I had researched both FlaRaks and Leo 2A5 & 2A6 - so more then 1500k RP in one month. I usually just play for 1 to 2 hours a day because I have 2 little kids and a job but I play effectively in this time. My lineup (started from the Rank 1 germany and had nothing for both air and ground) was Leo L/44, TAM2IP, G.91 and Bo 105 CB-2 (all bought during last year's sales) and both tanks had an level 70 crew and expert qualification. I used the 2000 pack GE for 2 x 1000 GE crew skill acceleration. After I got the Leo 2A6 I started playing air RB and got F-4F and Su-22UM3K both within an additional month.

You could buy 2 big packs (with 2000 GE each) and then you got (4k GE) GE to buy TAM2IP on x-mas sale. I used my pack GE always for a 1000 GE crew point investment on new tech trees.
It looks awesome. Although I won't get it now, I wish good luck to those who got it. You should've mentioned it's beeeg weak point int the turret though. It's my most common reason for death in the 2 PL, because one shot through no armor
I think you're talking about the optics, in that case that's not a weak point IIRC. The Leopard 2 still has about the same amount of amour behind the optics block as is on the rest of the turret, at least all versions adopted by the german military.
Ima ussr main but honestly i find the abrams much easier to kill from the front vs any leopard, all you do is shoot under the gun and abrams is destroyed. Im gonna choose Germany next to grind after im done with ussr ground, aready did all jets its ashame the snail did what they did to the su27.
Top tier premiums allow you so slow the SL drain that is designed into top tier. If you are beating the drain (you shouldn’t be it’s by design most modern games have this to keep games from becoming top heavy) you don’t need it until Gaijin changes the economy to induce more top tier SL drain to get you to move back down BR.
After buying this I’m thoroughly enjoying it. Compared to the xm-1gm it’s really enjoyable to play because it can take a hit and dish it back out. With the xm-1gm the amour is a joke and feels like it’s made out of paper. For anyone thinking about getting the xm-1gm DONT. Get this tank instead you will enjoy yourself far more
I agree with most things in this videos except you calling the 2A4s armor good. It was good back when it still atleast had a C-Tech composite turret that gave it about 600mm of protection there but the hull was always not exactly stellar. The 2A4 is goid because of the same reason the 2k is good which is its mobility alongside its gun handling.

My fav cheeky strat is to basically tag all enemy tanks with this. Hit them if I don’t get the kill back tf up and engage elsewhere and get some kills and a ton of assists.
Generally speaking the MG3 is a General Purpose Machine Gun, or commonly referred to as a “machine gun”. LMGs fire intermediate cartridges like 5.56x45 or 5.45x39 etc.
I'm only trying to grind the 2A5 and some support vehicles for Germany, I have plenty of SL gain from aircraft. Would it be both cheaper and just as effective to get a Talisman and premium account for the TT 2A4 instead? Unlike Turms and XM1 the 2A4 is exactly the same-

Just constantly being one shot by T72AVs, S2s are 3 shotting me, Abrams absolutely shred you and the cannon on this tank cant do anything against a T72AV unless you hit the of the tracks at an angle to pen through and get the crew, through the foot plate by the driver or through the driver window

I think it is the best Top MBT premium you can buy. Perfectly well rounded and user friendly. All the other premiums have major flaws. This has none of those.

War thunder big issue is.. They always need to implement new new I agree but they change so many aspects of the game that it makes for a hole new feel to the game

this tank has no difference with the leopard 2a4 anymore. The camouflage on it is completely useless. In the past, this camouflage made the vehicle look less bright than other vehicles in thermal visions.
same. i just unlocked rank 6 and after looking at how much xp i need to get the top tier mbt's, its very hard not to get the leopard 2 pzbt. meanwhile the turms is russian and the top tier winrates, from what i've heard, are extremely good. i would buy both of them, but im pretty much broke, and im just waiting for the anniversary sale
are you stupid? the dm23 with barely 400mm of pen should get nerfed, while the Russian T-72av TURMS is sitting at 9.7 (0.3 BR lower then the Leopard 2A4 Premium) and it had 470mm of penetration.. If anything the 2A4 premium should get a buff in ammo.
I still use it in my lineup with my Leopard 2A6. You just need to be more careful about where you hit enemy tanks (lower glacis, turret ring, side armor, etc).

This thing is hard to kill when the user only carries 16 rounds removing the rounds at the front near the driver

I’ve used this tank a lot for sniping and works very well. Generally up close is more difficult with this tank.

according to stats 94% visibility on both tanks so... Camo net does nothing.

How viable is this tank as an option in top tier? That apfsds round leaves a lot to be desired. Do you think they will ever upgrade the round?
