@@remenencenda768 I mean in the movies he isn't that smart. The book voldemort was a lot more clever about setting himself up. Just so happens Dumbledore is the ultimate plot device and shows Harry everything he needs to find and do. Just now the how and where. One horcrux was not given the proper value it deserved so was easily destroyed (albeit no one realized it yet until the 6th book), the ring nearly cost Dumbledore his life, the locket did cost him his life in the end. The other horcruxes were relatively easier to deal with. Harry was the tricky one since well he had to die to destroy the part of Voldemort's soul. Which is weird given that Nagini was indestructible to all magic except the basilisk venom enhanced sword of gryffindor. But the real idiotic thing he did in the books was try to kill Harry himself instead of his death eaters do the job.

@@Jedda678 perhaps the sheer power of the killing curse is enough to destroy a horecrux. I never though about that though. Harry should have been invincible and repelled all magic his entire life.

Grim Grin Yes I know. It's why in retrospect I wish Harry Potter could have been a TV Film series so they could fit more details and just all-round be more accurate. It would even allow for more creative character designs, like making Umbridge actually look like a toad-faced woman.
..heck, I'd like an animated series more closely adapting it. But now Warner has Potter in its grip, that probably won't happen to any competent degree.

+Dr Famine this is heavily flawed episode. Aside from calling attention to the same things multiple times, he sins multiple moments because of incorrect interpretation, not because of the story's flaws (and I'm talking about what's shown in the film, not things you need to read the book for) like sinning the fact that no one used the Vanishing Cabinet before when they specifically said he had to mend it first, or sinning the fact that people are trying to find joy in the little things (like cake toppers!) even in the darkest of times. Oh, and every single student has survived every single attempt at murder since year one? Methinks Cedrick might take issue with that incorrect sin.

The ring was an horcruxe. I think he didn't throw it into the ocean at a random place because he thought of the risk of it being found by someone on a beach because of the ocean currents or in the ocean by a diver. And since it could potentially be harmful to him he decided to hide it somewhere else.
Otherwise, if I remember well the books stated that Voldemort decided to make exactly 6 horcruxes (so separating his soul in 7 parts) because 7 is the number with the most magic power which would have supposedly given him greater powers, and I seem to remember that he used things that were important to him or of great value because of his obsession to be the greatest wizard in history (and because he considered that his soul was too precious for mundane items).

The Harry Potter ones are always the one I dislike the most because they're grasping for straws throughout the whole thing. My biggest issue this time was the complaint about the Room of Requirement being different when they have expressly said it becomes what you need it to be. In this case, it's a room where students have gotten rid of unwanted items for decades. The other thing that bothered me was everything about the vanishing cabinet. It was broken and Malfoy had to learn how to repair it. It's not super well explained in the movies, but it's not like it's not hinted at all.

    • @arturo435
      @arturo435 3 роки тому +9

@@amodelmannequin Well, in the book it's clear that this was a way more cruel way of killing Draco. Draco gets thinner as the year goes by, becomes lonelier and anxious because Voldemort not only threatened him but his mother as well. Voldemort, in the end, wanted to get the Malfoys out of his way because he knew they were no longer true allies, Lucius had become too comfortable as a rich and influential figure in the magical world and no longer saw a reason for Death Eater activity. Also, having Draco fail meant that Voldemort would order Snape to do it which is what Voldemort wanted, to kill Dumbledore (whom he feared) and to truly test Snape's loyalty once and for all.

CinemaSins bring up a good point. Why would someone like HERMIONE GRANGER want to date someone like..well..Ron? What does he have going for him? He's immature to a fault, can't mind his own goddamn business, is a bleeding hypocrite when it comes to romance, has no special talent worth mentioning whatsoever, (there's a reason why he's got that massive inferiority complex), and is the very essence of mediocrity. I just can't figure out why ANYONE would like this dude, especially if they look like Emma Watson and have the brains of Hermione Granger.
People tell me that Ron's special because he's "loyal". Please. Who ditched Harry in the fourth book because he thought Harry had conned the goblet, rather than that someone was trying to actively kill him? Ron. Who abandoned Harry and Hermione in the seventh book because he just couldn't handle camping out and having a shitty locket? Ron. Dumbledore even *specifically* gave Ron a tool to help him find his way back to Harry and Hermione because he knew Ron would ditch them. Ron's ditched people more than anyone in the series has ditched anyone else, ever. If that's "loyal" then I'll eat my left foot.

Though you did this video forever ago, just one small note. Snape didn't say that line in the 4th movie about the conversation no longer being private. It was Mad Eye Moody who said it so it makes sense that he wouldn't know Harry was eavesdropping.

Slughorn does travel with all his photos. It shows how he prioritizes his connections and prides himself on finding and nurturing talented people, even over his own convenience.
Tonks was the one who found Harry on the train in the books, and it's because she was watching for Harry and didn't see him leave the train.
The sorting hat always gives a speech, Harry is just usually off doing things like getting his car stuck in a tree and misses it every year, or the movies cut it out because nobody really needs to see it.
If you drink liquid luck too often, bad things happen. It's toxic in high doses and makes you giddy, overconfident and reckless.
Dumbledore's memory doesn't have to be vivid upon regular recall. That's why the pensieve is so important. When you extract the memories and view them in it, you can see all the little details the fallible human mind can't focus on.
Wands focus magical energy and are a powerful tool. However, there are entire cultures where witches and wizards practice wandless magic, such as Native American wizarding communities, and it's definitely possible even for wizards who typically use wands.
Tom Riddle was a sociopath. He wanted the full benefit of a magical education, read Dumbledore's body language and noted that even a powerful wizard didn't think his methods and demeanor were cool. So he made sure to reinvent himself before school started. Sociopaths have a remarkable ability to turn on the charm. Also, given Slughorn's surprise at the way Tom was acting in his memory, it's clear it was out of the ordinary for him at that time. We only got to see glimpses of Tom Riddle when he wasn't being careful to conceal himself. He was too excited and forgot to act innocent.
There is no such phrase as "on accident". It's "by accident".
Making an unbreakable vow doesn't mean that what you vowed will automatically happen. It just means you'd better try your darndest to do the thing, because if you don't complete your task you die.
Snape made Dumbledore promise to never reveal the real reason he decided to work for good. Dumbledore isn't the best at revealing things at the best of times. He certainly wouldn't go out of his way to betray Snape's confidence just to set some peoples' minds at ease.
The Vanishing cabinet appeared much earlier in an offhand comment in the books, as did many other magical objects that would become important later, like the diadem and the locket. It's one of the many reasons that the books are praised so highly for their world-building.
It isn't coincidence that Harry keeps finding Draco, he's stalking him using the Map.
Draco isn't experimenting with the cabinet, he's fixing it. It was badly broken, which is why somebody threw it in the room of requirement. Which, by the way appears in many forms according to the user's needs. Its catch-all storage space form appears to anybody who needs to hide something or throw something away, and people have been getting rid of things in there for centuries. And the room doesn't see good and evil, it only sees need. And Draco badly needed to fix that cabinet or risk Voldemort's wrath. He's in full-on panic mode the whole second half of the movie. To get in, you have to know where it typically appears, and walk past it three times while thinking very hard about what you require. Neville found it by accident while pacing, and everybody else (including Draco) can find it now by repeating what he did.
Dumbledore knew Voldemort split his soul multiple times and why, but he wanted confirmation, and he wanted to know exactly how many times. He was surprised to learn it was seven because even he didn't think Voldemort was that awful.
The cave had a spell on it that prevented regular magical spells like conjuring boats, apparating or summoning water.
Muffliato is the anti-eavesdropping spell, but in the heat of the moment one forgets. In the book Dumbledore also put a body-bind curse on Harry to prevent him from interfering in his death.
When Snape and Dumbledore make their plans, Dumbledore mentions he doesn't want Draco's soul split. When Snape asks Dumbledore why he isn't worried about Snape's soul, Dumbledore points out that the "murder" would instead be an act of mercy since Dumbledore is dying a slow and painful death already. Draco might not know this, but Snape does, and intentions affect magic.

This is my least favorite HP movie, but these criticisms have a few flaws.
    - That's not how unbreakable vows work.
    - Liquid luck is poisonous in high doses and also takes a REALLY long time to make.
    - Seeing memories in vivid detail is KIND OF THE POINT OF A PENSIEVE. because you can't see those kinds of details when you're just recalling it in your head.
    - The spectator turnout is so big for the Gryffindor tryouts because HARRY POTTER, THE CHOSEN ONE WHO IS ALL OVER THE MEDIA is now team captain. You don't even have to read the book to figure that one out.
    - McLaggen is also the biggest douche in all of Hogwarts, which is why he asks Ron to introduce them.
    - Hermione has her wand hidden. She's holding it low so it's not in the shot.
    - You forgot "Why is Hermione acting like she's a bit tipsy? She's a minor and Butterbeer is non-alcoholic."
    - None of these students with magical powers do anything when this girl is hovering in the air because they are STUDENTS and this is OBVIOUSLY dark magic. Trying to do something would probably just make the situation worse. Also, let's see you keep you wits about you and think of a helpful spell when a girl has just been hoisted into the air by some unknown force.
    - The cabinet was broken (As draco later says).
    - Wrong - that was Crouch Jr. disguised as Moody
    - Wouldn't you want a dancing cake topper to brighten things up if your society was on the brink of war?
    - Yeah, wizards producing magic un-intentionally totally didn't happen in the first movie when harry made that glass disappear
    - The Room of Requiremnt is always equipped with whatever a person may need. The room they are in there is a facet of the RoR which exists SPECIFICALLY for people to stash illicit items. That's the accumulated junk of probably over 1,000 years.
Yes because he really needed it IT'S THE ROOM OF REQUIREMENT IT'S SOLE PURPOSE IS TO ONLY APPEAR WHEN SOMEONE REALLY NEEDS IT.
    - Yeah because Voldemort would totes have not put an anti-apparition enchantment on his cave where he's hidden part of his soul.
    - Augamenti wouldn't have worked. because SECURITY ENCHANTMENTS
    - It wasn't a good idea. Voldemort knew Draco would fail so he could kill draco and further cause his disgraced family distress because he's a sadistic bastard.
    - The splitting of the soul doesn't JUST happen. It has to happen in order for a horcrux to be made, but it has to be intentional.
    - You also forgot the biggest hole in this entire movie (and this is personal for me, because if I had a galleon for every time I was asked this I could buy a years supply of chocolate frogs THEY NEVER EXPLAIN WHY SNAPE IS CALLED THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE. books orno books i think that bears some kind of bsck story or explanation. Otherwise it is totally random. That's a Cinema Sin if ever I saw one.

I know why Snape is called the Half-Blood Prince. But I pointed that out from the perspective of someone who hasn't read the books and who wouldn't know what Snape's Mother's maiden name was because they never deigned to expound upon that in the movie. Which is why it's a movie sin.

In fact, in the books Harry tried several times to use the Augamenti spell in the cave. It slips out of the cup through the bottom as though the cup doesn't exist. It would most likely be the same if he cupped his hands.

granted the guy in the video said 'use the aguementi spell straight into dumbledore's mouth" but I don't that would have worked for anyone who drank that potion either. Plus, in the book he's using an actual goblet that dumbledore conjured and not some dumb-ass shell that is CLEARLY made of plastic; CLEARLY bad on you props department.

The liquid luck potion is the stupides thing in the universe already as it is but not the least because it indeed utterly hurts the whole storyline, for the reasons mentioned in this video. If it hadn't been made a crucial and unavoidable part of the sixth book's plot, I would totally remove its existence in my fanfiction universe. But as it is, I can't and have to just ignore it while it exists.
Don't get me wrong, I love the HP books and universe, I live and breathe them and I love Rowling for writing them. But it doesn't mean I have to like everything she wrote into them. The liquid luck is just so lazy and unnescessary part of the universe and story.

Also, with the time turner, there still exists a dicotomy about time travel in their world, that's is why time travel is extremely restricted in the magic world, only used in mundane stuff and given to certain people, that is, until the battle of Ministry of Magic, when all the time turners in existence were destroyed (omitted in the movies, so it doesn't cpunt there, though) and Dumbledore had a thing against changing majot events in the time travel. Also, veritaserum is prohibited and only used against criminals.

Hunter Wall That's what I said. What you read in the book has no bearing on the movie. A movie is a visual medium, you watch it not read it. The film isn't a spin off from the book, it's a completely new take on the story. The events of the book are not the events in the movie. You cannot "explain" an error in a movie by sourcing a book. If you have to go away and read extra material to clarify a plot point then the movie failed with that plot point.

The reason Snape's soul didn't split after he killed Dumbledore was because Dumbledore was already dying and asked Snape to put him out of his misery and also to kill him to save Draco. It was a mercy killing and done out of love and respect with no malice involved. It wasn't something Snape wanted to do but promised Dumbledore that he would do. There was no cruelty involved, thus Snape's soul didn't split. The book covers it, but unfortunately the movie doesn't do that well at all. The movie really is an awful representation of the book.

Funny, but arguably somewhat inaccurate in some places. Now, I'm not an expert on Harry Potter but for example, if I'm not mistaken the vanishing cabinet was originally broken and that's why he had to test it. Plus, it's really not that crazy Dumbledore wouldn't tell everyone everything in a world where mind reading is a thing. Keeping your cards close to your chest and telling people things only on a need to know basis is often not a bad idea, if a bit Machiavellian. Slughorn saying that Voldemort's monster was buried deep down was also later revealed to be him just being evasive. And not doing anything with the cursed girl, well... yes they know magic, but they're only young students. It's not that crazy to think they wouldn't know the right spells to coutneract whatever was happening or being able to figure out what WAS happening.
Also, magic NEVER had to be done on purpose to happen. Plus, the snow was more an existing spell interacting with an emotion, near as I can figure.

Sara Nasreen Well, I haven't seen the movies (except for athe final two) in a long time either, so it's possible at least that I picked it up elsewhere. Plus, I mean much of what I said is just logically thinking through shit.
Well, I think their main thing is that they try to be entertaining, but in the process I think they often place "oh I came up with a good joke" above "oh, I came up with a way in which this makes sense after all."

Holy shit how can people still not understand this? The books don't fucking matter, the movie should stand on it's on, it's not a companion thing or whatever, it's a standalone product, so before you start bitching about this and say the book explained it, think again

    • @supershinigami1
      @supershinigami1 9 років тому +6

I partly agree and disagree. The problem is when a movie is bad and a book really good. People who don't read books are going to be let down by the movie but have no idea that there's still a really good book to read so they won't even like the story or this fictional universe overall.

Well CinemaSins does it as well so why couldn't we. Can't remember what video was it, maybe one of the HP or LotR ones, that he even says that you can't use the books and continues to use arguments like "Book says this, but movie says this, ding" So you must follow your own rules for them to matter.
However I totally agree that the books and movies are separate and you should not have read the books to understand the movie. The movie should always explain itself unless it deliberately doesn't want to. And if it doesn't then it's bad writing or stroy telling.
Besides movies and books totally different art forms anyway. (well not totally different but you get the point) They tell and can tell stories very differently. In movies you can use visual images to convey ideas. In books you can use mind reading more easily. So some things you have to leave out or change cause they don't make sense in movies or vice versa.

That sin for the wrackspurts was shitty. Everyone knows Luna is crazy, you can't sin the odd girl for being odd.
The textbook's recipe isn't wrong necessarily, it's just that the half-blood prince's revisions make the potion brewing easier. It's like taking a short cut.
Why the potion isn't used all the time: "Brewed correctly the drinker of this potion will be lucky in all their endeavours, but be warned … excessive consumption is highly toxic and can cause extreme recklessness."
And Voldemort had to make a passage to access the Horcrux because like the Journal from the Chamber of Secrets, it has to be found by someone to restore him. If he locks it up for no one to access he wouldn't be able to get out of the Horcrux, or wherever it is locked up.

    1. An unbreakable vow can't aid you in your task, only kill you if you don't complete it.
    2. It's specified in the book that Liquid Luck can only be used a few times in a single person's lifetime.
    3. Wandless magic has always been possible, only harder and less powerful.
    4. There must've been a Death Eater at the other vanishing cabinet which was who bit the apple and sent it back, otherwise how would Draco ever know it had arrived?
    5. It's specified later on in the movie Draco was fixing the vanishing cabinet, which is why it needed testing.
    6. In the Goblet of Fire it was Mad-eye Moody (or Barty Crouch Jr.) who said "this conversation is no longer private", not Snape.
    7. No, they can't just magic up a new house, if they could that would be in the sin-count.
    8. You're questioning why Ron doesn't need to intend to make it snow to make it snow, while he's sitting below a magic ceiling with changing weather.
    9. The room of requirement contains whatever you need, therefore if you need somewhere to learn to fight, it contains books on the subject and training dummies, while if you need to hide something it reveals a room in which people have hidden things before, which is where Draco could find a hidden vanishing cabinet.
    10. Yes, the Patronus Charm is strictly for Dementors. No, it couldn't help in this situation too.

      3. It is not specified that it's less powerful. "It could be volatile and was often difficult to perform, and could thus only be reliably accomplished by witches and wizards of great skill."
      10. Patronuses could be used to communicate, as Dumbledore and Tonks did in the books. And also during wedding in the 7th movie.

Wow, loads of fans of Harry Potter love the idea of Harry and Hermione together. I feel like the only person who don't and I feel like Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley were obviously the better match.
What bugs me is that Ginny Weasley is always looked as a fangirl and "Ronald Weasleys little sister." This is true in some forms, but overall, you guys are wrong. Ginny Weasley always gets underestimated. She has six older brother for goodness sakes and because of that SHE IS the forgotten child. Can anyone actually admit you have ever been underestimated before? She, in my opinion, is a true example of women these days. Underestimated. Harry and Hermione shippers at least admit that. She always get underestimated. When she was little, she loved the IDEA of Harry Potter, not Harry Potter himself. Obviously in the human world we have our own crushes of celebrities. Justin Timberlake or even

    • @mypotteraddictiontherealme7842
      @mypotteraddictiontherealme7842 9 років тому +27

One Direction. Why should Ginny Weasley be any different? She is the one that makes Harry opens his eyes that he is not only one to be possessed by Voldy, she is defends him for his use of the Setrumsempra (misspelt I know) spell while Hermione kept on yelling him and making him feel even more guilty, she is the one that tells him how to communicate to Sirius Black on Order of the Pheonix. By the books and movies, she grew maturer. She started of in Chamber of Secrets wearing her clothes that her mum knitted to the Deathly Hallows Part 1 where she is seen wearing a cocktail dress. Harry and Ginny have more in common then you think. They both have been possessed by Voldy, they both love Quidditch, they both have a sense of humour and there both passionate. I love Ginny Weasley as a character. When Harry broke up with her for her own safety she did not cry. She accepted his decision. For me, I would of felt sympathy of Ginny, all of this time Harry loved her and they can't be together. Hermione meanwhile, (no offence to the Hermione character) had recently been crying because Ron kissed Lavander and not her? In the Deathly Hallows, Harry missed Ginny. It had felt like a heartache, he watched over her dot on the Maruaders Map hoping she would be safe, and SHE IS THE LAST THOUGHT HARRY THOUGHT WHEN HE DIED.
Honestly, I love Harry Potter. I watch all the movies more than ten times each and read the book more then twenty time each and recently I went Harry Potter world in Watford. For me, and there is more argument for this then any other Harry Potter topic, is the poor way how to film got adapted. There was so much elements, including Ginny Weasley that could have been added to the movies. In the books, particular the first book, Harry and Hermione DO NOT HAVE CHEMISTRY. When Ron and Hermione had fights, he would mostly be on Ronald side than Hermione. In the Half Blood Prince book, Harry had tried to stop Ron harming his sister and even loved her so much that in Deathly Hallows, when he saw Ginny about to be killed, he launched himself to go for Bellatrix and get revenge rather then the maniac who wants to kill him ever since he was born.
It was actually Hermiones idea how Ginny can get Harry. If Hermione loved Harry, why would she tell Ginny how to get Harry? I think Harry and Hermiones connection is a sibling connection. Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe and loads of chemistry on set. If you have not read the books, then you would prefer Hermione and Harry. It's stupid really. Potter fans claims they read the books but they haven't actually read it? They just watched it on the movie. It's stupid really.
Look at Ginny Weasleys life in Deathly Hallows. Bill had the effects of a werewolf, she has no idea where Charlie is, Percy has been infatuated with the idea of the Ministry of Magic, hence leaving is family, George lost an ear, Fred dies, she has no idea where Ron or her best friend Hermione or even the love of her life. All she knows that there trying to kill Voldy, but she can't help even though she wants to. Her mum or dad won't even confide with her because she was "too young." She had started Dumbledores Army again along with her friends, even though Hogwarts is being run by Dumbledores murder (this is all she knows) and two of the most horrifying death eaters is being substitute headmaster. It was revealed that Neville had been bruised by the Carrows. What about Ginny? There was no way she could have lead Dumbledore Army without the risk of getting bruised. Also, one of the co-leaders of Dumbledores Army had "disappeared." No surprise if you had read the books it was Luna Lovegood. She has to deal with all of this without getting a meltdown and showing no fear. Now, you have to give credit for Ginny for this.
I won't deny that J.K Rowling said Harry and Hermione MIGHT have been a better match then Ron and Hermione. However, in this statement there is a loophole. She, cleverly, did not say Harry and Hermione MIGHT have been a better match then Ron and Hermione and Harry AND Ginny. She did not say that. Harry and Hermione shippers are right. Your a better match then Ron and Hermione according to J.K Rowling. BUT... (Yes there is a but) she didn't say Hermione and Harry is a better match then Harry and Ginny.
Just writing all of this is giving me a headache. At the end of the day, Harry Potter has ended by marrying Ginny Weasley. There very happy together just like Ron and Hermione. I like the ending, to be honest. It might seen a little cliche that Harry married the "fan girl" (which I made my point VERY clear that she's not) but doesn't Harry deserve a happy ending with the girl that he loved. Harry and Ginny love story is a bit like James and Lily's love story. James was an arrogant torag. He was obbsessed with Lily Evans, almost like a fan boy. He done different things attempt to woo her but time past and he grew more mature. At the last year of Hogwarts, it was Lily Evans who then fell in love with the real James Potter.
Of course it's just my opinion. Like if you learnt something new. You can also reply, I don't mind, but I do not want to have so many notifications.

Ron and Hermione have had chemistry throughout all the films. Look at Chamber of Secrets - Ron and Hermione don’t hug at the end, but shake hands. In Goblet of Fire Ron is jealous of Hermione and Viktor at the Yule Ball, and Hermione gets overly mad at Ron for not asking her. In Prisoner of Azkaban and Order of the Phoenix, Ron and Hermione have a kind of awkward chemistry throughout the entire film. They’ve been building them up since at least film two.

Except that they didn't - all Slughorn says is some vague bullshift about becomig reckless and overly relient on it. This in no way explains why they wouldn't use it on that once-a-year grand event they have every year.

Even if you consider that, liquid luck would still be mass produced and used. Just think in the last book of how many people there were involved in the battle for hogwarts. Unless all of them had already used liquid luck a whole bunch of times there is no reason why a few of them didn't drink any liquid luck. Also wouldnt Voldemort have drunk some? Surely Voldemort has the resources to acquire it, so its only logical for him to use it in a battle that important.
Really the whole felix felicis thing is completely bullshit.
In fact what's interesting is that throughout the whole series nobody ever uses potions to prepare for a fight/battle/dangerous situation. THAT is fucking insane. What the fuck are potions used for if you can't use them in a fight? Hasn't anyone heard of buff potions? Sure there's Draught of Living Death, so we know there are poisons, but nobody poisons anyone else either.

Frazier Clarke You can boil it down to magic in HP being boring and lame in general. Yeah, there's the awesome fight between V and DD in "Order", but other than that it's just "Call of Hogwarts: Modern Withcraft". No distorting reality, no fucking around with enemy's senses, no bringing things to life. It's all bullshit.

Snape made the spell because he was "The Half-Blood Prince," we found out later in the book that he was. That was probably why he was deflecting Harry's spells he was casting at Snape. That's probably why we were never greeted with anyone but Harry, Ron, Hermione and Snape ever using it, because Snape had made the spell and, if it wasn't for Snape, they heroes never would have made it through their sixth year. But luckily for them they got to skip their last year of school because they're cool. And why Snape never used, is never explained. NOT EVEN IN THE ORIGINAL BOOKS. So whenever we get an explanation for this, this was a useless comment i felt like posting because I don't have the self-esteem to make a worthwhile comment. Because we all know SNape made the spells and that he was The Half-Blood Prince... WAIT A MINUTE... Wasn't Snape a Slytherin? I thought Slytherin was Pure-Blood-Loving. Mudbloo- *cough cough* not wizard parents. *cough cough* hating. So... explain this to me, why was Snape-- oh nevermind. Voldemort's a half-blood, sooo... Snape and Voldemort sittin' in a tree. Talkin' about their horrible backstory... first comes story, then comes... Dark Magic adopted babies..? Then comes... uh... nevermind.. Forget this comment, it was not worthwhile, I am sorry for wasting your life. But aren't all the others Death Eaters pure-bloods? Why, in particular, was Snape allowed to be a Death Eater? When I get a reasonable explanation I SHALL FIND SOMETHING TO REPLY. This comment was to long for this.

If Snape gives you a months detention for throwing up, why doesn't he give any disiplint to Harry for almost killing a student. But not only that a student from the house he supposed to keep track off!

    • @thenewavatar13

Clara Harper Later the movie, we knew that Snape owned the book and made the spell. If he gives him detention, the professors will have knowledge about the book and spell, and it would've been bigger issue which will interfere with the whole plan of Dumbledore and Harry in getting the horcrux which Snape probably know as he's Dumbledore's double spy.
      It's easy to get.

Aaron Moh Although curiously, Lupin mentions in the following book that Sectumsempra is a "signature spell" of Snape's, which would imply that at least he knew about it. Which in turn means James and Sirius both knew about it, which in turn means the Order may have known about it.

    • @prettyme4387
      @prettyme4387 9 років тому

Actually the only spell James and Sirius knew of Snape's was Levicorpus. The only reason Lupin must have known about Sectumsempra may be because Snape must have used it a lot in front of him.

☮AmnaLuvsCookies☮ I find it reasonable to believe that James and Sirius would also have known about it since they were in the Order of the Phhoenix and thus also have possibly fought Snape.

0:25 In the books, the bridge actually killed some Muggles. I guess they didn't want us to show that since this movie is not rated PG-13 like the last one.
5:05 Do these girls even know how babies are made? I don't recall there being a sex education class in Hogwarts. Is it in Muggle Studies? The wizarding world doesn't use the Internet (I don't think it's even been invented yet) so are there books for this sort of thing that they have to read over the summer?
8:06 Ron's reply, "Believe me, Professor. I've been asking myself the same question for the past six years." Ron would be great at Cinema Sins.
8:41 People need distractions. You can't have them be scared of Voldemort and his Death Eaters all the time. The U.S. has been in two wars in the past 13 years and you never once go to a sports game just to take your mind off of it?
9:39 Because it is told later that these Vanishing Cabinets are very tricky i.e. faulty. You have to test them in order for them to work properly. Like the Weasley's car or the polyjuice potion, the magic can sometimes lose its potency given time.
10:33 What is it with you and having people remain unenthusiastic or even depressed? Ron even says earlier in the movie, "I suppose people need a laugh these days."

I guess it is again time to remember you all, that the books do not matter in the slightest here. A movie is able to make sense on its own and thus should make sense on it's own. A human that needs crutches to stand is disabled, a movie that needs books as crutches is disabled as well.

The movie makes sense on its own if you actually watch it.
Of course, if you skip the explainations and then complain things aren't explained then you're doing something wrong.
It seems like CinemaSins did just that for this movie, as half the sins are for "this isn't explained" and if you actually watch the movie 90% of those actually ARE either explained or self-evident.
