Taos rhymes with "house". Very informative review. I'm actually looking at an SE FWD mainly because its highway MPG is quite a bit better than most of the compitition.

Thanks for the Taos review Ben! Question: How reliable is vw's Travel Assist feature? Does it keep the car centered in its lane on freeways? Looking for a good roadtrip cuv with solid driver assistance tech! Thanks!

Great question! Pretty dang reliable, I drove 120+ miles with Travel Assist turned on and it did very well. Only had 1 hiccup when I let it go to a curved offramp without a car in front to slow us down. Made a whole video about it here: ua-cam.com/video/GSgpTJJaDQ4/v-deo.html Tested on Highway 5, 405 and 10 in Southern California. Thanks for watching!

@@shouldigetit Hi Ben! Wow that's great news! Very reassuring. So glad that VW has a $25k cuv with the Travel Assist feature! Being here in Southern California-- Travel Assist will be an amazing luxury to enjoy! Thanks again!

Hi Ben, if you scroll through the options for the digital cockpit you should find a navigation option for the centre screen in addition to the compass. When the navigation map is showing in the infotainment screen, choosing navigation in the centre screen in the digital cockpit will show navigation directions. It won’t show the map, but it will show an arrow with text saying turn left at Main St.

Nice review, Ben. We won't be getting the Taos in South Africa, but we will be getting the Taigo. It's similar, but a bit shorter, wider and lower and uses various body panels from the Polo Mk 6. Thanks to its Crossover coupé looks I think it's better looking than the Taos, Interior looks remarkably similar.

Hello Ben, I just have a quick question. Seeing this video was posed months ago, has the Volkswagen Taos been a reliable car? Any issues or things that have gotten to get fixed? Any recalls? I would much appreciate your input on this!

Hey Derian thanks for asking! Honestly I review many cars and this is not my personal vehicle so I'm not sure. Sorry I can't help you there!

Update! I tried the launch control of the 7 speed DCT on the Taos it works like charm, can't belive they advertise this vehicles as a 8.4 second 0-60 when in reality it can do 6.9 secons using regulat 87 gas when using launch control
