I’m starting my first junk journal with a theme of “When we have wings” & this is going to have to be the background for one of my pages! I think for an angel 🤔 Thank you for the inspiration!
That sounds beautiful!!! 🪽😇 I am wanting to do a junk journal myself, since I have all of these Gelli prints to use! I hope you love how yours turns out!
I love it when I see something that makes me say "I have to try that right now!" I used some sparkly eyeshadow and cut myself a stencil from fun foam. So much fun! Beautiful effect. TFS

Aww, thank you. 🥰💖I hope you try it out! It is so much more vivid in person! If you don’t have a cloud stencil, another viewer said she cut one out of paper.
@@Thereses-Crafty-Cabana 😂 that will have to wait till I get back to Costa Rica. Right now I am in the US babysitting my Grandpup while her Mother is in a different training for her new job. But as soon as I get back to my craft room I would love to try my new cloud stencils.
Thx again 4 another fabulous video with a gorgious end result, i love the card, but wonder if i can get mine to be as beautiful as yours, cause it is so lovely!!!! but i am absolutely going to try this, would combine fab with that perfect pearls bubbles card! ❤️
Fabulous idea as I have a set of 24 perfect powders mica powders I guess any brand should work Have you tried water metallics I will try them also thanks for the great videos
Thanks for stopping by to watch! 💖✨ I think any brand of mica powders would work since the acrylic paint is what will bond it to the paper. I haven’t tried water metallics. Are those like pan watercolors? Or are they liquid? They sound really cool!
@@Thereses-Crafty-Cabana yes it is a pan metallic watercolour very good for blending the colours I love trying different paints I have used Kmarts paint it is cheap and good, can’t wait to try your idea also love the envelope. Thanks 😊
Thank you! 😊 I have not sealed mine, but I do use clear mailing sleeves when I mail them and have not had any issues. The acrylic acts like a glue to adhere the powders to the paper. If you prefer to seal it, how would you do it? Curious because I haven’t sealed them but not sure what’s the proper thing to do. 🤔
It isn’t always necessary, but if I am concerned about the possibility, there are two fixatives I use there made by Brush and Pencil, one is called a final fixative, and the other is called a textured fixative. The one called a final is probably self-explanatory formulated for colored pencil artwork and rigid, non-flexible, surfaces hardens when dry, permanent bonds to wax mediums, protects against smudging and preserves layering. The one that is called textured fixative has the added benefit of applying a very gentle light tooth to the surface allowing you to still work more on it applying pencil or applying acrylic that sort of thing, but you seal the smudging medium under it and then you can work with it more. The only reason I thought of it was the envelope going through the mail and the possibility of smudging in that case however, if this is working for you, that is wonderful, I don’t like to have to spray things, but if needed in some cases I have found these to perform well.
@colleenmckeeman1342 thank you for this info! I will write those two down to keep an eye out for at least one of them. The one with tooth sounds cool to be able to do more on top of it! 💕

This is a helpful article from Ken Brinkley Art Supplies “Gel Press Gel Printing Plates are a modern take on traditional gelatin printing. They offer many benefits over printing on plexiglass or gelatin. They’re also non-toxic, latex-fee and 100% vegan! Unlike some traditional printing techniques, monoprinting with a Gel Plate doesn’t require any sort of press. You just need your plate, some paint and a surface to print onto and you’re good to go. They’re also infinitely reusable! Just clean your plate with soap and water after use, allow to dry and it’s ready to go for your next printmaking session.” Here is a website for more info www.artsupplies.co.uk/blog/monoprinting-without-the-press-how-to-use-gel-press-gel-printing-plates-and-carabelle-studio-printmaking-accessories/. You can use pan pastels on the gelli plate - they work awesome. Just use some baby oil to get it off.
Great tip! Another viewer mentioned that too! I need to get my hands on pan pastels! Are they different from soft pastels? Besides the shape?
Beautiful. Clouds don’t really have a right side up.
You know, I didn’t really think about it like that. Good point! 🤔

Thanks for subscribing and welcome! No, I didn’t wet the gel plate, just the stickiness of the plate holds the powders.
