I think it looks better as the ½ Metal G. Plus it's also more practical not having all that overhang before it goes into its descent. I went back and watched JOMW's video on the Full Metal G, and I instantly regretted not ordering the full kit with the metal bracelet. I ordered that one because I prefer the color scheme anyway, plus all my silver, gray, and ss colored watches have black bracelets or bands. Then I see this video and I'm convinced I made the right choice by ordering the bezel only, and going to another Aliexpress store to order a new black urethane band. The only thing I left out was ordering a new watch, but I'm happy with the one I have, and to be totally honest, my G-Square gets a lot more mileage since I inverted the display several months ago. I forget what the lighted display looked like before I did it, but now it has a black background with green text. I think it had a light green with kind of blackish dark grayish numbers before. The only problem with it now, is it requires either a lot of external light or the backlight to see the display, because inverting it has almost, not quite but almost, blacked the display right out of existence. I can't wait for my kits to get here. The band shows to have already cleared customs, so that should be here any day now, but I won't even think about using it until the bezel get here too. I'll probably try it on just to make sure it has the right curve to it, then I'll put the old one back on until the bezel shows up.
I'm pretty sure the decals are to put on the inside of the metal bezel, It's sort of a liner to stop metal to plastic contact and also gives the bezel nice a snug fit.
I'm having a tough time with it now. The springbar for the steel strap will not click into the holes on each side. I have tried and tried. I've had to resort to putting back the original strap on it without a problem. I guess the thinner spring bars worked? Any idea what size they were? Will have to order some.
Yeah that was the only hard bit I did get mine in - didn't seem to be any trick to it just kept fiddling and pushing the release bar a little till it went in. It took ages though for both sides.
Oh gosh... I ordered a kit like this for this EXACT watch, but I ordered the 5600 instead of the 5610 kit. That's what I get for not doing my research thoroughly. Could you provide a link to where you ordered this from? Just in case I can't jury rig the 5600 kit to fit it, I will go insane waiting on the six week shipping from where I ordered the 5600 kit from.
That's the same problem if u wear the square series with the original combi/composite bracelet (like GWM5610 or GWB5600). My wrist is 6.6" and the lug to lug still overhanging a little
I had the full metal g in 2018 and sold it after a few weeks because the extended lug to lug was horrible on my 16.5cm wrist. After that i got the gwm5610 plus a 1st gen combi bracelet. The gwm5610 has shorter lug to lug (47 compared to 49 of the metal g) so it wears much better. Now i am thinking of rebuying the metal g on rubber. I really miss it. Thx for the video of showcasing that it wears better on rubber and it curves down better than on the bracelet 👍
I have the bezels and bracelet for my dw5600 and gwm5610. I'm getting the overhang problem with my dw5600 but not my gwm5610. I don't know if they have a different bracelet for the 5610 or not, but its a pretty big difference in span from 60mm for the gwm5610 to 64mm when the bracelet is on the dw5600
Hey good try, but still that Half metal and resin band mod looks great, and comfy as you mentioned. Can i know the lug size of the G5600E? and the bracelet used.
I hate when people don't put links they bought from. Thanks for the video. I filed down the end link on the 5600 and it pivots downward now. Also my 5610 doesn't have this issue.
Thanks for the honest DIY video, it is helpful. Hope to get your thoughts; do you think the metal lug overhang is manageable on a 7.5 inch wrist? Want to get the same steel set (for G5600E) but worried about the bad overhang you mentioned. Thank you
hi i have a question so this is the solar version of the dw5600e right so which metal bezal should I get I mean which version since the case dimensions of this solar version is a bit different from the normal dw5600e
The model that I have here is G5600E and the mod kit for it is the same as 5610 if you are getting it from the AliExpress links in the video description.
soo i get mine in 2 Weeks from China. it is very fast shipping..BUT i need nearly 2 hours to get the bars Into the Lug! He send the normal bars not the Quick Release bars. Maybe that is the reason? i can do it after i attached the strap before install the bezel quality good but präcision is crap.
Personally, I think it looks better as the ½ Metal G with the black band. The silver bracelet was a bit showy or flashy or whatever. Just too much going on for me.
what kit did you get for it? was it a dw5600 kit? just got a g5600-e and I wanna get a metal case/bracelet for it but not sure if the 3160 module will fit in a 5600 metal case.
Great review. Very clear video and audio 👌. I have the same base watch. Which size did you order from MFG, 5600 or 5610? Also could you kindly specify the lug to lug height with the metal bracelet please? Thanks and keep up the good work.
I bought this exact kit for my GW5600 and it looks AMAZING, the fit and finish is superb.
Man I was asking myself if a 6 inch wrist would be a problem with the bracelet, very educational video, thanks a lot man

The watch looks so much cooler with the half Metal mod vs full Metal. Definitely going to do the same mod with my one of my 5610
Thanks for showing how it looks on your wirst. I prevented buying unnessary metal band ;-)
The stickers go in the new bezel to protect the module - probably fine without them.
I'm pretty sure the decals are to put on the inside of the metal bezel, It's sort of a liner to stop metal to plastic contact and also gives the bezel nice a snug fit.
I figured that out later but I don't really need them since the bezel fits snugly.
I would use the Phillips screws that came with her to hold down the case that stupid they give you a regular straight flat head screws
I had a heck of a time getting mine together. Eventually had to use some thinner springbars.
I'm having a tough time with it now. The springbar for the steel strap will not click into the holes on each side. I have tried and tried. I've had to resort to putting back the original strap on it without a problem.

I have the same problem with the metal G’s. Those end links make the span too big.

I have a G-5600E and ordered the MFG 5600 kit but it doesn't fit. I think we have made the same mistake?
then why if i already bought 5600 kit. what gshock watch will fit nicely??
Gw 5600
thank you. i was debating if i want to take full metal or half metal. i just purchase the metal bezel. not heavy and comfortable

I did the same and now very happy 👍
not that bad. I would just place the rubber straps back and call it a day. Ill do this mod soon.
does anyone know how to color the "gshock" and "protection" word on the metal bezel?
I have the bezels and bracelet for my dw5600 and gwm5610. I'm getting the overhang problem with my dw5600 but not my gwm5610. I can't remember the lug width.
I've not handled it, but looking at the video, you might try to sand down /thin down the end links (longitudinal wise) so they can swivel more
Is the authentic gmwb also huge on the lug to lug? Really curious and anxious to buy one since I have a 6inch wrist as well 😅
I hate when people don't put links they bought from. Thanks for the video. I filed down the end link on the 5600 and it pivots downward now. Also my 5610 doesn't have this issue.
the screw minus becoz metal bezel all come with that. rubber is plus screw
Oh. Thanks for sharing. Didn't know that.

I think it should be manageable with a 7.5 inch wrist.
No problem with the original gmwb5000 bracelet on my 7.5 inch wrist, so this should be okay as well
@@pranavkamath4329 Perfect, thank you and stay safe
@@GFWatch thank you, and hope to see more casio review videos, or any watch reviews.
7.5 inches is above average in terms of wrist size, will definitely fit!
What's your wrist size?
Are metal bracklet dw5600 fit to g5600e? Thanks🙏
No
Thank you 🙏

@@GFWatch oh so i have to get the metal bezel for the dw5610 right and not the one for dw5600
@@Og_AkhilRjn If you are modding this G5600E then you will need to get the 5610 metal bezel.
@@GFWatch ty for the clarification
Can i have the name of the seller in AliExpress please?
can i put dw5600 bezel to g5600e...
No. There's a slight difference in the case size between the two.
thank you sir for the above explanation, it seems that I have to buy another one because I bought it by mistake...

Try to to use back the original Casio spring bars. Sometimes the spring bars that they sent could be too long.
I have a G-5600E and ordered the MFG 5600 kit but it doesn't fit. What have I done wrong?
You should order 5610
@@GFWatch Thanks. Very annoying that the numbers don't match.
then for DW5600 kit fit for which watch? as i bought the kit 😰
@@vincentng1330 it's for DW5600, the regular square G-shock
@@GFWatch DW5600 bb cannot fit
@GF Watch, what is your wrist size?
6in or 15.2cm
@@GFWatch Thanks for answer man, keep up the good work :)
You'd need giant wrists to wear that, at least it still looks pretty cool on the rubber strap!
Haha, i guess so. Luckily it still looks good on the rubber strap 😊
Personally, I think it looks better as the ½ Metal G with the black band. The silver bracelet was a bit showy or flashy or whatever. Just too much going on for me.
Your hand very small dud, good video
what kit did you get for it? was it a dw5600 kit? just got a g5600-e and I wanna get a metal case/bracelet for it but not sure if the 3160 module will fit in a 5600 metal case.
For this model, the kit should be for 5160.
Can u sent the link where to buy the steel bezel and strap
Great review. Very clear video and audio 👌.
I have the same base watch.
Which size did you order from MFG, 5600 or 5610?
Also could you kindly specify the lug to lug height with the metal bracelet please?
Thanks and keep up the good work.
Thanks for the support. I didn't measure the effective lug to lug is the bracelet. I'm guessing it's in the ball park of 55mm.
@@GFWatch thanks. And was the ordered model 5600 or 5610 from MFG?
It's the 5610
It looks huge on you! How big is your wrist? I have 6,5 inches and not quite sure about buying one...
I have a 6 inch wrist
it looks great. i cant w8 get my mfg paket too.
Muy interesante video ponerle todo a ese Casio 👍
Please bye link provided, please
The real full metal has flathead screws.
The watch is to big your wrist is to skiny
