I have big wrists so the watch fits me perfectly. Also the gaps in the strap allows for expansion and contraction of my wrists throughout the day. I have to say its probably the most comfy steel bracelet ive ever worn.

I did the same mod to one of my 5610s, I bought a worn look kit, and I loved it so much that I did another 5610; This time I got the GMW-B5000TVA-1 kit. I also did one of my GA2100 Casioak, and I’m waiting for another oak kit, and another for my GW6900. For a Chinese product I gotta say I am impressed with the quality.

I used two of these kits. Super impressed with the quality but get the wrist issue if under 7".
It is amazing. Just sits a bit funny on my wrist
if you gently file down the plastic protrusions on the watch module lugs then the first link will flex more. also makes it easier to install and remove. i also put some black paint in the "g-shock" and "protection" engraved letters. i wiped off the excess, just filling in the lettering. Makes it "pop" a bit more.

Excellent video . You're right. G-Shock is a good brand. I have a GA-700-4ADR, red resin one myself, great value at about €75. What watch collector doesn't have a G-Shock? Those G-Shock modules as great as they are get mass produced very cheaply and that premium on a metal case is just enormous, given the case was probably made for about 5 dollars at the very max, possibly even half that. Better to mod as you did, size is big, but fine on my 8" wrist. P.S. I was just thinking. Would it be possible for you to get a rubber strap to fit that lug? It could look very good on a black strap to give it a dive watch look and solve the wrist size issue at the same time.

You can just use the metal body mod and keep the strap original. I have worn it this way for a while.

Do you think that trying larger diameter spring pins would take up the tolerances, and take out the side to side movement of the band? I watched another video of the same type of upgrade, and that bracelet stayed in a stiff circle as though it was still on the wrist, which I would consider bothersome. The bracelet in your video seemed to collapse enough that it could be easily dropped into a shirt pocket if need be, which I see as a major plus, and the larger dia spring pins should have zero effect on this. Good video.
I think that there are a few different variations of the kits. It is hard to tell prior to buying one which one you get.
Mine was really good but there was no way to change the end links. They made the effective lug to lug too big for me.
But I think that is what the actual metal g-shock is like.
@@WATCHingJames That stood out (no pun intended), and would be a deciding factor for me. If a manufacturer of bracelets, or even of those first two links, made them to move as much as the rest of the links, I think modders would beat a path to their door. I know I would.

Strange, the one I got from AliExpress did not have these gaps between the bracelet and the end links, although they did stick out a bit, but after five minutes of flexing them up and down, no more issues. I have a seven inch wrist...

James, I ordered this bracelet about a year ago and got the Retro black since it is a "beater" anyway, I figured already "beat up" would work.
I have a 17 centimeter wrist and know that everyone's wrist shape is different however, mine fits very well.
Looking at your video I noticed that the second link on my watch will drop almost straight down which makes it fit much better than yours. I wouldn't suspect there would be a difference in models but, maybe there is?
Overall, I am very satisfied with the mod.

I can see what he is saying about the load to Logue with being way too large. Has anyone remove the tabs underneath the fixed lugs on the case to let them lay down more and be more free moving?
Unfortunately they can’t be modified. It’s a shame because it’s a great look and feels like great quality.
The 64 mm lug-to-lug size seems more appropriate for a tree trunk than for a human wrist.

I think the problem is more to do with weight. The fit is acceptable, as long as the watch is not too heavy. Titanium is the solution.

Would be interesting see if this bezel would work without the metal bracelet and if it looks decent. Similar to the half metal stock squares.
Yes it does work. Looks ok and fits me better that way.

Does anyone know if a bezel and strap combo of a gw-5600 or dw-5600 fit on a g-5600 ? Are all g squares able to swap between all squares?

Yes. When I eventually sold this kit the new owner did exactly that.
That lug to lug is pretty crazy. Blame casio though. Thankfully my MR-G B5000 doesn’t suffer as poorly from that issue.
It is a shame. I would have loved to keep this one in the collection but it just does not sit nicely on my wrist.
@@WATCHingJames I actually has a stainless briefly before discovering the MR-G. After comparing the fit of the two, I returned the stainless instantly. It wasn’t a quality thing. It was simply a terrible fit on my wrists. Maybe if May arm was fatter 😅

I am interested in watches and am 56 years old. Even as a teenager in the 80s I liked watches and of course casio. Have had and have many casio watches.
I have bought the casio watch you have. I like it a lot.
Try removing some parts of the bracelet and placing them on the other side of the clasp of the watch band.
Then I think the watch will be more comfortable to wear and you will avoid the problem you have now encountered.
I think it looks like the watch band is fitted wrong. Try turning it the other way so you open the lock from the top and pull it down.

I am convinced that if you do any of my suggestions the problem will disappear.

It definitely was large. Would be great on a larger wrist but too big for me.
It doesn't look very comfortable because of those two fixed parts on the strap on either side of the watch. Shame...
It is a shame. I was excited about having it in my collection but it does not work on my wrist.
