I went to this movie because my beautiful wife wanted to see it. I. was. blown. away. Went back to see it in the middle of the week alone. This movie affected me, as all great movies do. It stayed with me. Blown away by Cooper's talent and clearly evident intelligence. Blown away by Lady Gaga's acting and her natural look in this movie. Love the music. I can't wait for the DVD release so that I can watch it yet again, and again, and again.
Jason Taylor - you sound just like my husband. He wasn't really interested in seeing the movie so I went with my sisters and came home and told him he would have really liked it. He waited until it was out on DVD and watched it alone. He called me at work and was like "Wow". He fell in love with Gaga's natural look and of course was blown away by her talent.
I remember when Lady Gaga first came out, I despised her. I couldn't stand to look at her, I couldn't stand to listen to her, And I didn't see the big deal about her..... Now I see it! I totally fell in love with this Beautiful creature. she is wonderful.!... This movie gave me a chance to learn her, and understand her. I wish I would have never felt that way about her. I'm hooked!!!! I tip my hat to Bradley Cooper. Phenomenal job ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!..... And Sam Elliott!!!... Living legend!!!
It's quite remarkable what they pulled off. It was a risk to for all involved to jump into the 4th retelling of A Star is Born withBradley Cooper who has never directed before and Lady Gaga who hasn't been a lead actress in a film. The risk meant they poured so much heart into the film and that has obviously resonated with audiences around the world! It's tough to pull of a film with weighty messages and social commentary whilst being commercial and they did it! Hats off to them they deserve all the accolades.
And they achieved all that on a pretty thin budget. It doesn’t come around often, if ever. It’s pleasing to see everyone acknowledging each other’s total commitment. Bravo!
Lady gaga your music and your voice is a powerful thing as a fan and a say the movie as a artists you now how to sing and play piano at the same time gaga you have amazing skills and a wonderful voice to perform and play those shows for the people and for the fans gaga keep on rocking okay with you music and your sweet style alex
LOVE Lady Gaga! She was so incredible in this movie. She has been my saving grace through her music and her performances. I feel privileged to be alive while she is on this planet.
This movie is the result of hard-work, perfect associations of artists and a perfect timing! :) Lady gaga was born to be an actress and Sam Elliot is amazing as well!
It was the most honest movie, I've seen in awhile. This is one side of life that people want to pretend doesn't exist. But it does. I'm a realist, life is sometimes wonderful and other times so painful that you feel all alone in your pain. We live in a time of "positively". So many will turn and run from any negatively because they fear it will somehow affect them. I appreciate the raw emotions of this film. These things happen in REAL life and it cant be escaped by creating a fantasy world around you, where everything is happy and free. I saw where they were catching some flack for not providing a more positive ending, like finding him before it was too late and offering hope to someone suffering. The truth of the matter, having been there myself, all hope is gone, you just want to know you arent alone and someone out there understands your pain. I dont think it will push anyone to end it, if anything, it brings hope to them out of a sad situation. I think for what it was, it was done very tactfully.
Sam Elliott sits over there smiling at those two, he knows there is something special about them working together. Sam is such a PRO actor and I have always lover him in the movies.
I saw A Star is Born on HBO for the first time, & I recorded it to put it in my library, but also purchased it Thur iTunes so I can have the encore extra minutes. This will become a wonderful classic. This movie has been looked at everyday, that's how much I love this movie & music. EXCELLENT. WAY TO GO PIASONS.
Being authentic, being present, being in the moment, relaxation, believing and being in someone else skin completely.method acting at the highest level.
one of my all time favorite movies. the night we saw the movie i woke up during the night to my wife sobbing. that is how moving the movie was for her.
Bradley, Cooper, Stephanie Germanotta, Sam Elliot and the whole cast .... Amazingly authentic!. I am your greatest Australian PR person!. I have also developed a new love and respect for the true gem that is Stephanie (Lady Gaga) Everybody I meet I advise to go and watch this movie., I came out of this movie a changed person.. I watched this movie 3 times in 5 days! I relive it everyday by listening to the tracks on the CD. This movie has touched me! I have fallen in love with you all, the whole movie idea and portrayals.
God Dammit... Now I have to watch the movie.... Bradley.... I wouldnt normally watch a film like this... but Bradley took that limitless pill... he takes it to the next level
The last name of Maine was used in many of the various versions. In this version he is named Jackson Maine. When James Mason played the part with Judy Garland, his name was Norman Maine. Famously, Judy Garland's famous line at the end when accepting the Award at the Oscars introduced herself by saying "This is Mrs. Norman Maine".
Such pure, raw & truthful emotions. Bravo to the cast, crew and director. It's a shame that Hollywood is in the throws of hyper-virtue signaling now that it discounted this movie's voice. This movie has moved me, stayed with & became a part of me. It deserved more Oscars than it received.
This is by far the best interview I've seen on A Star is Born, thank you so much! While other interviewers are asking "Bradley what was it like to direct from a bathtub, was that really hard to do while you were naked" This interview is genuinely getting into the heart of what it was like to be both director & actor & where the line is & how the 2 are separated & the 3 actors/director are really responding with thought out, interesting answers that give genuine incite into the production process. My only complaint is that it was too short! Shame it wasn't one of the 1hr 20 minute interviews. Would have been EASILY enough material available to fill that time! Great job though!
This was such a pleasure to watch, thank you SAG AFTRA. Hope this sweeps at the Oscars. There's a lot of great films this year, can't wait to see what happens!
I absolutely loved the relationship between the two brothers. I thought it was the strongest in the movie. But I do think the reason why the movie strikes a chord with so many people is because of the complexity of the relationships of the characters. And the variation in the different types of relationships of those characters. The diversity and the issues this movie deals with pulls in a wide amount of people. Jackson is a lot more loving and docile with Ally . Totally different then the way he is with his brother. Yet you can really sense their tight bond. The way Sam leans in every time he talks to Jackson due to his hearing difficulties you really believe they are brothers and they've been doing that their whole lives. I know this one really hits home with me because I've witnessed the way old fashioned tough men interact. The way Sam's eyes well up when he's backing out of the lane way really got me. He was never going to get out of that truck and if he had it wouldn't have been true to the characters. I remember watching my father and grandfather interact they never hugged, they never said I love you and yet you never had to wonder whether they did. Jackson knew how his brother felt about him and I don't know that there is anything that could have been said to change the outcome.maybe delayed it. Jackson had an illness. The film moved me and I felt the whole range of emotions. Actually enraged me at the end. But any movie that has you that invested is a good one. I was on the edge of my seat and leaning forward by the end. I've lost a close personal friend to suicide. So I was actually upset.
Shayne O'Dwyer ally treated Jackson better than Bobby did. It was just that simple. Just by the way they incorporated her coming up with ‘shallow’ on the spot about him, she got him. She knew how broken he was. Bobby underestimated how bad things were.
I feel addicted to this movie. It is terrible when a person abuse drugs in such a way as Jackson. His beautiful wife could not save him. I cried because it was such a waste of true love.
This moive showed me how inportant life and music go great together words song magic and love to me it was true love and yet there all still here thank god. Best moive and people ever love you all.
If this doesn't win awards I dunno what to say. # Vote Lady Gaga for Best Actress # Vote for Bradley Cooper for Best Supporting Actor or Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy.
The film had been done before . What made this where the people . I never knew Lady Gaga . But now I know a lot about Stephanie . I fell in love with her. Anyone would love to have someone like that in your life . Sam Elliott I never saw motion in anything he did that I can remember . But the scene the driveway got to me . The brothers did love each other . Bradley Cooper's got a bright future . Now saying this . I hope the all realize story telling has always been a release for the average person . It's a wonderful experience and thank you for being so honest
How ironic that when Lady GaGa is speaking about feeling afraid but safe, that I recalled Barbra’s line from the 1976 closing scene song where the lyric says, “ when it’s scary, I won’t look down” !
Constantin Stanislavski remarked that "there are no small parts, only small actors." Dabbs Greer, a bit actor, once said, "Every character actor, in their own little sphere, is the lead."
These 3 amazing artists share their guts in this interview sort of, and speak from their soul and this lady here sits like a robot, listening. Just cut her off the shot. She destroys the moment. Besides this, the movie, the music and acting are out of this world. It really, really touched me deep. Congrats to everyone involved in this.

I loved all the singing in this movie! I just could not take my eyes off, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper!
Lady Gaga is not only a sensational musician but a superb acting performances in every single scene that she was engaged
Something about Gaga’s outfit, makeup + hair and especially the way she is sitting is very hot. 🔥
Omg when gaga talks the way Bradley looks at her!!!!! Ship ship ship!
THE WAY BRADLEY LOOKS AT HER............every woman could be jealous...

The moderator said this almost word for word when she interviewed Bradley alone. She may have stole this from your comment. Lol
@@mikekillagreen9432 Bradley is so authentic and that's how he had so many ideas for making this movie
Watch her every day. At 80 she gives me joy
So nice of Sam Elliott to acknowledge the talent of Stefani Germanotta, by calling her by her name

Lady Gaga is so beautiful here.
