Super helpful. I thought I was the only one making books in Canva. I just bought Book Bolt. I looked at both and think I may still use both, but it looks like Book Bolt will be faster.
Always excellent and detailed comments and examples. You have this, a UA-cam channel, down to an art form. I recommend to anybody checking out your videos and links. You're awesome!
Excellent video! I am a book publishing newbie. Your video has helped me to make an informed decision as to whether I would be better served using Canva or Book Bolt. Thank you for sharing your expertise!
I didn't know I would have to stop using Canva images in future. Does this also apply to Book Bolt? I've also just done a thorough search through the Canva Licensing agreement and cannot find any reference to restrictions of Canva content being used after you cancel the subscription. If someone could please point me to where it explicitly says that already published elements can no longer be used, I would very much appreciate it. This is obviously very important.
Hi Caroline, Thank you for this information, I am a Canva Pro Subscriber and am creating a Medium content Journal. Am I able to put the copyright symbol on pages that have a Canva design on them? None of the images are stand alone, they all have a narrative / journal prompt on the page also.
Great tips - Quick question, I created a e-book in Canva and converted it to EPUB format in Calibre. When I import it into the Kindle Previewer the formatting of the images are all out sync. Is there a step I might be missing here because when I export it from Canva to PDF everything looks fine? The goal is to import it into Amazon KDP. Any tips or tricks will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for the tips. I didn't know about the fonts, so if I do a word search I cannot use any of their fonts even if it's arial your regular ones on any program. What about their tables or lines I'm talking about Canva.
I have submitted my first book but I'm having some problems with the formatting and I don't know what is wrong. I was thinking if you can to look at the emails they sent me and what do I need to change. If you have time and you don't mind of course.
Great video - as you have turned me onto Book Bolt. I signed up for the non-pro subscription since I do all my own images and graphics. Do I still receive the lifetime 20% off with your discount? It looks like I did get the discount for this month, but does it continue? Thanks for all your wonderfully informative videos!
I am sorry to bother you, but I am so frustrated ! I am trying to upload graghics from creative fabrica and vecteezy to canva and book bolt but it keeps telling me the size couldn't be detected. If you know what I am doing wrong could you please help me? I was doing a book and couldn't get the pictures that I wanted!
Great info thanks! Subscriptions to me are razor tooth beast that thrive on laziness and then hang users by their pinky toes in dank caves and come back to feast on them each month. I'm not one for caves so I like using the free version of canva in combination with krita or inkscape. Great video as always!
So canva pulls images for free and charges us, but even after paying for them, they aren't ours and we can be done for copyright if we continue to use them after unsubscribing from Canva?! What crooks! Well I definitely won't be paying canva for anything!
Book bolt is rubbish. All the KDP 'creators' pushing this program have clearly been paid for their opinion/testimonials. Supposedly easy to use to create a complete book to publish on KDP... Not so. Paid for a subscription and oh so frustrated as Book bolt is very clunky; not easy to use at all.

What type of book are you doing?

Bookbolt vs. Canva is something I've been wondering about. Thank you for the video.
Caroline, l find your information extremely helpful for someone who is brand new to KDP. Thanks for all you do.
Oh my goodness thank u!!!
Your honesty and time I appreciate both!!!
Sorry early walking and listening!
Hi Caroline, I just started watching your videos and found them very helpful. Keep up the good work!
Excellent video and great explanation!!!
Thank you! Very helpful for the beginners like me ❤

Hi there, this was also my first question after watching this video. Did you ever find out the answer? Thank you!
Hi Caroline,

What do you recommend for high content books?
Great post! Very very informative.
Thank you for sharing ❤️
I agree about free images
Where can I purchase images so I don’t have to worry about the license issues? Thanks 🙏
Excellent video, thank you so much.🤗
Thank you very much for detailed difference...you always wonder if you are over buying softwares? Your videos are always wonderful :>)
If the permission chages after printed in the book it will change the permisision of the book like music

There’s a button to flatten PDFs, and that pushes all your layers into one
Also, you can lock your page or lock your images.
I have a question. I purchased Instant Puzzle Generator for word search templates. But, now Book Bolt has those. Which is better? Thanks!
Does book Bolt come with a lot graphics that can be used for coloring book or children's book?
No it doesn't.
Thank you for the tips. I didn't know about the fonts, so if I do a word search I cannot use any of their fonts even if it's arial your regular ones on any program. What about their tables or lines I'm talking about Canva.
Thank you so much God bless you

Is there a way to move a book cover from canva and place them into BB? I have designed 8 covers but not the interior yet.
Canva do have book templates for low content

Are you aware that your UA-cam email hacked?

So many people use free Canva tools in their books for sale. Are they all doing it illegally??

I agree, it’s a straight up nightmare.
I agree
