But if you have a used filler rod thats 3 inches shorter than the new ones its going to be a problem. The you need to remove the tube and turn it upside down. I would like to see a solution for this.
You raise a good point! For a solution, I dont think cylindrical tube is the best bet. This set up is for the storing of fresh lengths. As soon as you are trying to store used rod you have no control over the length. I think a tray with a hinged lid would be the best solution for storing the half used pieces. That way you can have easy access to the rod and maintain the ability to keep the dust and moisture away. Maybe something I will take a look at in closer detail. Thanks for the comment
