Glad everyone made it OK and only minor damage to the Alfa. I daily drove a C4 Corvette for nearly 20 years - in Michigan. Once you get used to it, you can drive it in the winter. You just have to take it easy. I won't say I never had any white-knuckle days though...
I had an identical -97 GTV, same colour, same engine, even the same wheels. It sounded so good and was fun to drive, but slightly expensive to maintain. Replacing the clutch would have cost 2k, so I sold it. I managed to do a road trip across the lenght of Finland in it tho
Brian's "rally driving" impression was HILARIOUS! I love that you and Becky can share these adventures together-what a great team...with Brian being all curmudgeony! Glad you made it home safe-that definitely reminded me of some white knuckled drives across Wyoming (I-80), Colorado (I-70), and Idaho (I-15) back in my college days. Sweet Brumos shirt Brian!
Two 40 pound bags of softener salt in the trunk of the Mustang will settle the back end down on slick roads. Saw your guys out detailing the Mustang yesterday afternoon. Enjoyed this installment!
Went through Flagstaff in the middle of the night on my honeymoon. Had a pop-up blizzard white out everything but the faintest bit of lights on the semi trailer in front of us. One of the scariest 20 minutes or 2 hours of our lives. To this day neither of us have a clue how long we drove through with essentially 2 feet of visibility. I absolutely loved it though. My wife was a little less enthusiastic about it 😅
Driving I 40 just a few mikes from Flag staff city limits in June. Rain so thick stopped under a bridge over pass and prayed nothing would hit me. Few years later driving East I40 passed Williams and rail road box cars turned their sides from strong winds! Scary stuff!
Hey Bob & Becky, this trip was extra exciting!!! You guys had cold, snow, rain & dark of night & you made it home!!! Congratulations!!! I love all 3 cars!!! 👍👍🙂
Congrats🎉 25k subs!!! The new Car Trek crew has emerged. lol The Corvette and Mustang would both be fun to drive through the curvey mountain roads on a dark, snowy night....then l woke up. lol Glad everyone made it safely home!
I-40 has worst pavement, most potholes than any other interstate my opinion; lucky you didn't have a flat. Vette looks great in that color, hate the purple - sorry I love Mustangs though. Love the road trip footage in your videos- keep em coming!
When you have WAZE but needed the weather channel. Drives like that you can save time by pulling over and waiting for the snow (and plows) to pass by. Millnenium Falcon windshield always gives the full pucker factor. Happy you all made it home intact and definitely deserve a scratch ticket or two to see if the luck is holding.
Not being able to see the lines and flash ice conditions are the two things I hate most about winter. Add in that around here they let the lines fade away, there is more traffic and it still goes the speed limit and some of the roads don't have anything other then more of those hard to see lines between you and oncoming traffic and driving in bad weather... it's not fun. Very cool that you got to experience all those different weather conditions in those cars.
Except for the sound and the power of those three cars, I would miss my 2005 LeSabre. It is FWD and does over 30 mpg on the Kansas Turnpike. And yeah, I live in Goddard, nice driving distance from you guys.
The raindow is amazing, I got a picture of my V70 under a double rainbow. Love the cars especially the Alfa ❤ got a real soft spot for a V6 (particularly the Busso) Alfa! Great video dude
Great video,I really like that Busso V6 engine in GTV! ….but cup holders destroy any pleasure in driving European cars for Americans... I have them in my fiat , I haven't used them ten times in 20 years, and I'm in the car every day, it just doesn't matter to me while I'm driving...
We moved here towards the end of his spree but one of my best friends worked him for I think a year or so. She found out after the fact, in his records, he had a project Cookie. Her name is Cookie 😵💫
Driving my GT convertible in the snow sucked, I couldn't imagine taking that vette through that weather. So what's the purple Mustang going to be sold for?
That was great Bob Alfas start of great but they deteriorate pretty quickly in my experience with them in the past sometimes you could not even locate a oil filter for them even from the dealership anyway good luck best regards Andy Allen.
I’d buy that alpha from you in a heartbeat, but I live in South Carolina on the coast. And believe me, there are no mechanics for 100 miles in either direction. They could work on that thing. Oh well.
Be sure to catch Part 1 of buying the cars!

I never got my lottery ticket
Lol! Too late?
No I’m headed right now to get it 😂

What great people! Great channel!
Ugh, I was getting snowy road trip flashbacks! Glad it all worked out

Brian, we need more videos for your channel!
Man! That's an adventure there! Thanks for taking us along!
I love that Alpha! It is a beauty!
The end of that rainbow showes where the Lost Dutchman Mine is!

Cool trip Bob and congrats on those awesome rides!!
I live in North Carolina middle of the state. We only get snow rarely. I love driving in it! I drive around and pull people out of ditches.

Gracious what a road trip for weather. 😮 Glad you all made it safe and sound. Congratulations on the 25K subs, well earned and deserved. ~ Chuck
Thanks!
Alfa was the best choice for traveling in "hyperdrive".
Great video! Very entertaining!
The white cutlass is my pick
Urination Bob scoring the deals!

Nice little adventure-
Better each video! Not surprised the Corvette won the mpg. I've owned about 6 c4's. Great road cars. Still affordable to buy.
awesome video brother

That Alfa is such a cool looking car!
I like driving in the rain and snow as well. Everyone thinks I am crazy. Great video. Love the Alpha!!! Let me know when you need another driver. 😅

That C4 is beautiful…rare color and with a stick…Bob have you priced it yet? CONGRATULATIONS on 25k subscribers!
I have driven Vettes longer distances and have achieved at least 28 mpg, often cruising on the interstate around 1400 rpm. Comfortable and fun!
I like this down to earth made videos 👍 no fancy editing 😁 takes me back to times when I used to be on the road 😁 keep up the good work.
Windy snow can be disorienting
Exactly !! 😵💫😵💫😵💫
I'm glad you guys made it home safely. I love the Cutlass

Great series! Loving these episodes---still don't know about driving the Skittles that far, but shipping will ruin a car deal for sure.
Fantastic!!! Love this video!! ❤
Thanks for watching and commenting!

White knuckle driving, gripping the steering wheel very tight. Personally I’m used to driving through snow storms. I’m from Quebec Canada.

Wow what a gnarly ride home in that storm lol. And yes your wife can drive lol
Waze is the best map app for sure!
Awesome!
Hi. Bob. Part of your video was shot in Show Low AZ. I live 30 min from there.
just like driving in lake effect snow off lake erie, greetings from western new york
Bob you are right. The highway stripping sucks every state.
The Alfa GTV was one of the most beautiful cars in the 1990's (together with the FIAT Coupe that like the GTV also was not imported to North America).
Love the gtv. Definitely a dream car
Use RainX next time. I use it all the time here in Michigan.
Are used to drive through Michigan all winter long next to the lake affect snow in my four-wheel-drive. Tahoe never got stuck once.
The start of this video reminds me of the end of the movie Vegas Vacation (1997)
I wish we has a camera car to video a slalom!
Might be time to buy a drone.
People don’t realize how much snow northern Arizona gets
Make sure you put 93 in the Alfa
25000 subscribers where are the wizard and huby subscribers? Come on
I had been under the impression that you need to leave the cars at the auction until the auction is over, at Barrett Jackson.
Yikes! Those birds! Enjoy that Alfa! I'd love to have it, but my Milano is my project for life!
Great video,I really like that Busso V6 engine in GTV! ….but cup holders destroy any pleasure in driving European cars for Americans... I have them in my fiat , I haven't used them ten times in 20 years, and I'm in the car every day, it just doesn't matter to me while I'm driving...
29 MPG in the Vette!
Been waiting for this one
Somebody needs to get parking lessons
I had a 65 Dodge Dart that was same color os that Vette!!
This is a fun video. You still married, Bob?? 😂
Double rainbow across the sky what does it mean
Was thinking the same thing 😂
What was it like living in Wichita during the BTK years?
We moved here towards the end of his spree but one of my best friends worked him for I think a year or so. She found out after the fact, in his records, he had a project Cookie. Her name is Cookie 😵💫
Watch out for the clutch pressure plate on the GTV x>
Fun
You should have let us know what towns you are in
Driving my GT convertible in the snow sucked, I couldn't imagine taking that vette through that weather. So what's the purple Mustang going to be sold for?
I hate when they don't have reflectors on the lines
Ha ha! I figured someone was going to point that out 😂 I was dodging big piles of red Oklahoma mud
Bob, are planning on reselling cars you bought at Barrett-Jackson or are these for you personal collection?
That was great Bob Alfas start of great but they deteriorate pretty quickly in my experience with them in the past sometimes you could not even locate a oil filter for them even from the dealership anyway good luck best regards Andy Allen.
why didn’t you give Becky the Alfa since it was the better snow car, come on Bob!
Does it really cost that much to truck 3 cars....
What city in Az are you in when u stop at woodys chevron
How come I can't see the wipers moving in all that sleet and snow?
Is that a speed radar mounted to your windshield or a forward facing camera?
Radar detector
How many hours was this trip,
Should have been around 17-18. Ended up being more like 20.
Becky is less than impressed!!
Lol. True!
I’d buy that alpha from you in a heartbeat, but I live in South Carolina on the coast. And believe me, there are no mechanics for 100 miles in either direction. They could work on that thing. Oh well.
You seem like a nice guy Bob. You are not very good at this you tube thing.
