as an Italian and an Alfista I would NEVER sell this magnificent GTV, it will acquire more and more value, I have had a 1.8 since 1999 I would never sell it, hello from Italy
BUSSO!!!!!!!!! The engine, the sound, the phone dial wheels! Are you sure you have to sell it? Wouldn't you rather keep it so that when "friends" from out of town come to visit we can go zooming around in it? Hmmm?
The late model Alfa wheels are right at home on that car Also, there are never people or only a few parked vehicles on the street you use for the videos. It looks like it would be a fairly busy street in town. For those old enough to remember..... reminds me of the movie The Omega Man.
I got schooled on a couple of things on this video. 1. Busso V6 - I was like it's a Lusso!! thinking it was the trim. 2. 2 litre V6 turbo - WTF Bob?? That doesn't exist. Yes it does. Thought I knew these cars pretty well too. 🤦♂
Yeah the 2.0 V6 is under bored version of the 12 valve 3.0 v6 for tax reasons just like Ferrari had a 208 which again was a version of 308. Great little engine. The rarest version is Gtv Spider with 2.0 V6.
The GTV with that engine weights something over 1400kg / 3000 lbs, it´s pretty heavy for such a small car (of that time) I never experienced understeer in mine, it handles pretty well. I think it must have a LSD in front
Without an LSD it will understeer under power (especially on track) like any front wheel drive car but an LSD makes a huge difference. And it isn't the worst FWD car even without one. It's quite well behaved. But I still personally think it was what made the biggest difference in handling when I had it done on mine.
looks great, I've got the same v6 but it's been off road for 11 years, I've just started to get it going again, will take me time but I'm hopful I can get mine back on the road by next year😁👍
I still find it so weird to see an identical car to my old one xD Mine had the black trim as well, only difference was a single tip exhaust (that i could fit my whole fist in lol) I hope your clutch doesn´t die like my did x3 We were figuring out with the previous owner why the brake pad warning light was on, turned out the brake pads were worn. Never came in our mind the system to actually work like it should lol
Not a single one GTV 916 with a Busso engine ever had a limited slip dif. Let alone the first ones like the one you have there which is not an 1998 model but an earlier one. The phase 2 916s (GTV?Spider) were launched in 1998 having some changes in the paint with a different interior and dash as much as some technical differences in the geometry of the rear suspension. The one you're driving is a 1997 model and has the wheels of the Alfa 156 GTA of 2002. The engine apart from th sound, it is glorious in every aspect.
The issue isn’t that we sit too high it’s actually that the top of the windscreen is super low imo, I’m always struggling to see traffic lights when I pull up, if you look at the exterior the top of the windscreen is lower than the side windows!
Damn, that's a 6 grand car here in England. Shame America doesn't drive on the correct side of the road. You could have made a fortune importing them.@@euroasianbob9268
Those sidelight markers just look odd and out of place. I'd have gone with a square set recessed into the bumpers for a smoother look. Otherwise, this is a gorgeous car.
Love the looks, love the performance, wouldn't want the service bills. Italian vehicles are always maintenance whores. No thank you. Cool though Bob. You find the outliers for sure.
🇮🇹🐍🚗💨💨💨🇮🇹 I higly doubt you will find that fog light anywhere in North America, better try in the UK, for example Auto sportivo Bedford,,or Auto Italia on YT...you will spread camaraderie not yt,and you will find that light.. .

Must admit that is probably the best sounding V6 I’ve ever heard.
The engine is beautiful and it's CAR PORN. The sound is amazing . My 928s has a beautiful engine bay and a great v8 exhaust note.

230hp, 7000rpm! Built well! So for sure it sounds amazing! I agree🙏

It is a blast to drive! I must hear it sing every time I take off in it! 🎉

Not too shabby, 0-60 in 6 secs.👏🏼👏🏼

Sweet Busso music.
Omg, i love it 👌

Yup. It’s a combination.
Music was the best part of this video 😂❤🏁 just kidding great car! So clean! (Bust seriously, where can I get this album! )
Lol. It was just a music selection off of iMovie called Itsudemo.
Great video
Very nice car!!
Put a wizard exhaust on that baby
Love the car! The Busso is legendary. $30k seems a bit optimistic though.
Looks like that alfa was sold in japan before getting imported to canada then coming to U.S
It may have been manufactured in Japan, however it can't have been sold there as it's left hand drive.
Was imported to Japan from Europe then went to Canada and then to America!
I don’t know what to think of this car I want to see one lowered a lil bit it always changes the look of a car in a good way just tastefully
Thought this looked similar to Captain Slow's car in the cheap Alfa challenge!
Left hand drive cars offered in Japan are considered "Prestige"
Damn. I want that car and I don’t even like FWD.
Yeah I think the body line would look so much better a lil lower
What a beautiful car ! What’s the price

Amazing find, the sound is worth the price of entry. Your website seems to be down@@euroasianbob9268
@@euroasianbob9268 You have some random cars, video on the Suzuki Alto?
@@RDEnduro yes, there is a video on the Alto.

Looks like it has dents under the fuel cap, maybe I’m seeing wrong.

I had an identical one, the engine needs to come out for many things.
Changing a clutch is $2000, more than on a Ferrari
@artoodiitoo Amen brother. I get it.
Jeremy Clarkson compared it to a Ferrari)
