I'm gonna try this... I've been wanting to practice and work on my voice acting, but the walls are just so thin in my house and I'm rarely alone. Time to borrow my mother's car 🚗
I love recording VOs in my car and I get my remote interview guests go do the same. I give them a simple checklist. Only catch is park in the shade on warm days and watch out on really hot days.
What a great idea and fun video. I've been struggling trying to get a great recording. I'm going to park my truck in garage and go for it tonight. Great info. Thank you my friend
I'm on a business trip far away from home until this year-end. And the hotel will kick me out if I sing a song there. But I have RODE NT1KIT, Motu M4(Apogee Duet 3 in on the way but not sure when I can get it), Macbook with Logic Pro and small SUV. Thanks for the video and I should try right away. ;)
Great idea and fun presentation, well produced. Only tricky part is that for VO, I normally want to see the video on my NLE. Now how can I stuff my 27" iMac Pro into my car????
It sounds like you might be looking for one of our Wireless microphones, like the Wireless ME: brandstore.rode.com/collections/all-microphones/products/wireless-me
My biggest concern is how do I power my mic? I have a neewer nw-800 condenser mic, and it requires a 48v phantom power to run. With a full battery I can power my laptop and interface but powering the mic is the issue
Benito Lopez -Not sure if this would work, but if you have an audio interface, I don’t believe they have a power cord and are powered by your laptop. The audio interface has a phantom power switch to power your condenser mic. And if you needed to power your laptop, use a AC inverter that you plug into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter slot.
How to reduce the sudden Boomy or sudden Echo in the audio? Is there any settings to reduce the Reverb and Echo for car? What are the alternatives for putting the towel or blanket on the car window ?

I thought I found a solution with my car, but not really as comb filtering goes mad actually.
Which is the best audio recording solution which is not visible to people in the car.

How does one get rid of the reverb? I tried to do this but the audio is not usable because of the reverb.

I bought a portable power bank. The brand is novoo and it lasts a pretty long time.

Sounds reflects off hard surfaces easily, the rags help diffuse the reflection of the sound, the echo.
What did you say was the best Mic for Singing in the Car..??
Ooh good question! If you're recording into a laptop or phone, it's hard to go past the NT-USB+
How do you avoid overheating in the car?
