I love me some RODE mics. And let me tell you why... I shot a feature film with the GH5. There was one particular shot that was going to be used as a monitor insert for a scene. So, I hooked up my RODE Wireless GO to my RODE VMPro+ on a boom - yes, on a boom - and patched the Receiver into the GH5. Flash forward to post...We hired a professional sound mixer for the final DCP. Our sound mixer was very impressed with the audio I recorded for that scene. And he was completely unaware of how the sound was recorded. So, RODE can pat itself on the back. You guys create some amazing products. I'm a RODE fanboy all the way. Cheers.
Hi. I shoot concerts and i'm starting to take video clips. I mainly shoot dj's and I have trouble getting good sound. For example sometimes the bass seems overpowering or I can hear crowd noise way too much. I have a canon and I use a rode mic. I believe the mic is the "video mic go". I also usually have my camera set to the lowest sound recording setting. Is it possible that this specific mic can't handle music that loud or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance for any help
If you're using the VideoMicro, you'll need to adjust the camera's preamps to get good levels. You won't be able to get it as low as possible as the VideoMicro relied on the camera's preamps.

What is the genre of music were you using in that video?
Also in the other ones.
It is so nice.
(I'm using a videomic go since 2018 by the way)
I’m getting strong static noise on my lavalier connected to my DSLR? Not sure why. Can’t record sound. Any advice?
Get in touch with our support team at www.rode.com/contact, they'll give you a hand!
What if I have the rode video micro, which don’t have pre amp on its own. Do I still need to lower my camera preamp?
