If you wish to reduce gun crime: Police the streets as was done in New York City when Rudin Giuliani was mayor, Prosecute gun using criminals, Place a mandatory 20 year sentence for using a gun during a felony crime. Sentence to be served first and consecutively (not concurrently) with any other sentence. Meaning: Sentence to be served first entirely before any other sentence is served. Punish criminals, not law abiding gun owners.
Most shooting statistically happen in Democrat run gun restricted zones.

That’s the problem in a nut shell ! The people in office are always the wrong people. It’s all about personal gain, fame, position and not about what’s wrong or right. Most people I have found are humble and law abiding citizens. In my country we have no personal protection (guns) etc for just protecting ourselves. 😊
In the winter the cats would crawl into the engine bays to enjoy the warmth in Indiana. I remember my step-dad fired up the tuck one morning and one of our cats took a ride in the fan and the belts and came out missing a little fur and a little bit traumatized for a few days but he survived and got back to normal. GRACE is the word for it....
The opposite would apply in LA, where a shady truck underbody/engine bay would be cooler provide more hiding spots for scared kittens in the summer heat with dogs that have already attacked them at least once.
Further, in the USA, 70% of "pet" cats are indoors, so if they are not used to being outdoor, they may not know enough to stay out of there.

I'd appreciate prayers, I had a lumbar fusion back surgery Thursday. Back feels ok, but now I have bad sciatic pain.

I think after being rushed by ambulance into "emergency back surgery" (yes I had kept putting it off for over a year) but even though the specialists were able to save the nerves and keep me from being paralyzed. The pain is 50x worse. But I thank the Lord I can still walk!

The places where all of these shootings are happening aren't serious about taking gangsters and criminals off the streets. You can't blame Law Abiding Gun Owners for criminal actions.
Law abiding gun owners are the only ones that obey the laws. Outlaws are unaffected.

You talk about Paul dealing with leading some of the same people who he'd persecuted before God called him. He humbly declares himself the chief of sinners, because he knows what he was; & is grateful God set him free. It caused him to be more devoted to his ministry as his reasonable service & worship to the Lord.
I always identified with the woman who washed Jesus feet with her tears & anointed them with perfume from an expensive alabaster jar. She was so overwhelmed with the generous grace of Christ's forgiveness of her extremely sinful past that she needed to express her loving worship extravagantly. I think she & Paul had that kind of devotion for the Lord.

Please, let’s pray for wisdom and discernment for all Christians in America. I’m talking to so many Christian friends who seem to be confused about what is going on in our government, who can be trusted, and what is being done for our good vs just out and out greed. Please pray that everyone’s eyes are open to evil people with evil intentions!

We live in SoCal and we have so many God loving, church going, Christians here who are followers of Jesus. Our churches here only closed down for a few weeks and reopend in April and May of 2020 and have never shut down since. We have seen so many people come to faith and thousands have been baptized. So for us here we are beginning see revival. For me and my family we LOVE the Lord so much and my grown boys have come back to Jesus as well. God bless you guys...your podcast is our favorite and has ministered to my soul and calm my nerves over the last year. I live in Riverside County and have friends and family in Orange County and we are 2 very right-winged conservative counties in California. We need to continue to keep making America great again and show the love of God to everyone we meet. Californians are not all bad...in fact most that I know are good people 🙌

Starting off, this is awesome. My favorite cat rode on the gas tank of my pickup truck for fifteen miles as a young kitten. My wife ran over a frog just outside my garage and I thought the meowing was the frog at first, come to find out it was a kitten. I miss that cat.

What no one ever mentions when there is a shooting, especially in the inner cities, is that it can almost ALWAYS be tied , one way or another, to drugs. You can have all the programs in the world, but until you settle the score on drugs, this will always persist. God Bless Everyone !

Start with Dear Lord Jesus.... then say what you want too? Ask for forgiveness for your sins? Ask Jesus to come into your life. Basically just talk to him. Ask him for help or for healing? Then end your prayer like so... in Jesus name I pray...amen

I finally got to watch"Risen".
I definitely understand what Jase is saying about Hollywood simultaneously denouncing Christianity yet using the concepts behind it to their advantage. But with that being said, I think its important to acknowledge that Chris Pratt is a devote Christian, a man of faith. He has been very open and honest about his faith, which is great because most persons in Hollywood not only aren't Christians, they actually talk down upon God and Jesus.

Absolutely, more guns and training is the only answer. Criminal's don't commit nearly as many personal attack crimes in well-armed areas.

We need laws like Swtzerland. All women and men must go thru basic marine training and ALL mist carry a gun. There is very little crime in this little nation.
It’s also a small and ethnically homogenous nation, far different from the US and can’t use for a comparison. Training requirement is a good idea in theory but the democrats will find a way to make training difficult to pass, expensive, and inconvenient. Do not give into any concessions because the democrats won’t be happy till the 2A is abolished.

Y’all have mentioned in a previous podcasts about submitting to the government based on Romans 13. But in the podcast weren’t able to cover gun confiscation / bans. What would be y’all’s take if the government were to go to the extreme and demand gun confiscations? Even given Romans 13 I would have a hard time wanting to comply with that, and am curious what y’all’s thoughts on the matter would be.
Ppl really need to look into the actual stats when it comes to homicides and firearm related cases.
Yes it’s true that most crimes are committed in left run states/ cities. And that’s most likely due to the citizens being restricted to protect themselves. If I was a criminal then I’d like to know that most ppl would not have a gun so I could do my sinful acts with less resistance as possible. However I believe there was around 14k ppl that were victims of gun related violence last yr. May I also add that 12k ppl passed away from stair related accidents as well. So it’s the media like always who are backed by billionaires who want to push ther agendas and beliefs on firearms.
Again they I feel want it where no one can defend themselves and the government is always in control.
And again as many of you know it’s not the firearm... it’s the person behind the firearm that does evil. Stop blaming the guns! It’s the ppl.
If 20000 ppl were murder with hammers this yr I highly doubt the government would want to ban hammers. Or as I mentioned above, I doubt the gov would ban stairs even though 12000 died due to stair related accidents.
Nor do I see the government go after Budweiser and want to ban alcohol companies when thousands of ppl died in auto related or alcohol deaths each yr.
It’s simply the government lying and making the media seem like guns are the devil. And having no guns is the best answer. And if that doesn’t convince you then just look at all the gun laws they try to pass..... none of which actual help protect ppl. None! It’s only about control. Nothing but a bunch of hypocrites
2 Corinthians 10:3&4 There's never a right time to use a firearm outside of the procurement of food or recreation.
The proper way to interpret scripture is to read it within its local context and also the rest of the Bible.
The verses you reference are in a larger passage where the role of the church is being discussed as it interacts with unbelievers. That is my take anyway. Using that to say that defending yourself as an individual or group against someone trying to murder you is highly questionable.
Jesus's own followers were armed in his presence and he didn't rebuke them.
The old testament is filled with God using the Israelite army for his purposes.

The double portion of the Spirit is referring to the first born inheritance. The first born received double portion. Elisha receiving this is referring to future where when Christ come the first of the resurrection we after inherit life in Him. It's alot more to it but it all points to Jesus.
