- Let’s get crazy and do a paint pour on a T-shirt! 3-year-old Lauren is the CUTEST painting helper I can imagine.
To keep the painted area separate from the rest of the shirt, I used an embroidery hoop, a cardboard circle covered in freezer paper (or wax paper), a piece of leftover plastic tablecloth, and blue tape.
I’m using craft paints from Hippie Crafter, thinned with water at about 4 parts paint to 1 part water. They are washer and dryer safe, and don’t require ironing to “set” the design!
Titanium White (for priming the shirt)
Magenta Light
Cobalt Blue
Metallic Silver
Mauve Blue
Viridian

I think it turned out amazing! And Lauren is so happy with it. Wait 7-10 days before machine washing (gentle cycle is best), and air dry so it doesn’t fold up and stick together while drying.

So cute! It turned out great! I loved doing that for my daughters when they were that age, but there was no acrylic pouring techniques back then. Thanks for sharing! It was great!

Good advice regarding washing 7-10 days later.
Thank you so much! 😊
You have a wonderful helper 😊👍. If you do it again, use the tape ring to hold underneath to steady it while it dries , it might help.
And it turned out fantastic!!! Great job you two. Have a blessed day
✌️💜😃
I wonder if you could do a swipe using fabric paint 🤔🤔😁 it might turn out pretty cool 🤔
Thank you!
Yes I do wonder what kind of techniques I can use without my standard paint additives like floetrol, silicone, or a cell activator.
Cute helper xx
Yes she is!
This was fun!
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic 💕
Thank you!
Awesome!
Thank you!
Cute. How does it come out? Is the paint hard on thr shirt at all?
Thanks! Yes it’s a pretty thick, rubbery layer but she likes wearing it and it has been washed several times without issue!
