My gf stopped me from using 10 chilies and said it would be too hot, lol! I used 5 and closer to 1/3 of and onion. For the oil, I used olive instead. What I got was the most delicious mild relish I’ve ever had. I will be making this one again but probably with 7 peppers. Thank you Claudia!

Thank you so much for this recipe, I made roughly the same thing yesterday but added Bell peppers and substituted out the dried chillies for fresh firebird chillies and ghost chilli sauce, not going to lie it doesn’t matter which way salsa is made it’ll always give a warm fuzzy feeling like you’ve just come home from a long hard day of work.
I am a spicy baby so instead of the chiles de arbol I used a jalapeno and an ancho chili. Sooo delicious!!! Now I feel more comfortable adding more spice🙂 love it! Thank you!

I’ve made this salsa twice now and it has been fantastic both times. It is a bit spicy for my fiancée though, so I might only do 7 chilies next time. I also might keep it at 10 like it’s supposed to be😉

This makes great spaghetti sauce, also, with the addition of some California chili pods blended in. Put a large avocado on top with sea salt and pepper. It's great! And nothing jarred or canned.Thanks for the delicious recipes, Claudia.
We in South India call this Onion chutney .....we roast the onions, tomatoes, garlic or ginger, dry red chilies and blend them . We finally temper them in oil with mustard seeds , cumin seeds and curry leaves and add the hot tempered oil to the chutney. Goes good with Dosa’s ( Indian pancakes) , Idlis ( steamed stuff like empanadas ) . Good video . Thanks !

Made this salsa today to enjoy with the chalupas you have on your channel and it was soooooo good😋👍👍. I used two Chiles Serrano cause if I use Chile de árbol no one can handle it except me 😅
My wife and I made this and it turned out delicious. We also added a dash of lemon juice and vinegar. But it was amazing. We also didn't use as many peppers. Hahaha

Wondering if this is the salsa I need for my tacos. There's this local lady that makes tacos and she serves them with a really really spicy salsa. It's red and it looks like it has little flecks in it. I've asked her for the recipe but she doesn't want to give it up. It is my favorite salsa. The only thing I taste is spice. Maybe garlic? It's amazing. Looks reddish orange like this one. I will add more Chile when I make it. Thanks for sharing
