I just bought the 10 inch version as a combination floor monitor with my band, music playback for my family, and for singing and playing guitar at small venues. I love the speaker. Easy to use and sounds good.
Thanks so much! Appreciate the review. I'm looking to buy one YXL12P to add to my small Yamaha PA system (two 8" tops, put those on stands and the YXL on the floor). This is for small venues up to 30 people. Thoughts on how that would work? Longer term I'd get two YXL12Ps but not in the budget, yet! Also curious about lifespan? I'm looking to buy one used from Long & McQuade. Has a warranty so should be in good shape, but I have no idea how risky that is / what the lifespan is.
Thank you for watching my video and appreciate your comment! I'm glad you have an interest in the YXL12p. It definitely is a great speaker with a nice full bodied sound. In my experience with yorkville speakers buying from long & mac used is kind of a no brainer. Totally worth it as you do have warranty too and these speakers are made to take a beating in any type of environment. The only thing is finding a used one that hasn't been banged up too much cosmetically. Make sure you do a sound test before you pull trigger aswell. Goodluck!
Im not a musician or dj in any way shape or form, but i bought two of these and 15 inch sub for my living room and my god its money well spent. So over powered for what i use them for but getting the chance to let them loose is an absoulte treat. You feel the music not just hear it.
Wow bro! A pair of these AND a 15inch sub in your LIVING ROOM?!?! Damn!! Please tell me you have a huge ass living room otherwise your whole house is literally shaking from the ground up 😂 Respeckt tho!🙌🏻
@DjNinesworld lol not a big room at all. I just wanted to buy one, good af set of speakers that I can use for anything. If a friend is getting married, I could dj etc. But the main reason I bought them is literally to shake the house lol I love it so much
Great covering of this speaker. I bought 2 of these when it was just coming out. I'm doing magic shows for school, often in the gym, with an audience of about 400 kids. These are perfect for this type of gig. Good stuff !
This is the largest audience for this type of show. The children are usually seated on the floor on mats, so they're fairly close. The volume of the sound must not break their sensitive little ears. This would be different if the show were held in a large auditorium with sound-isolating upholstered seats.
I checked this speaker out at my local music store and they are phenomenal sounding speaker for such a small cabinet. Puts out clear highs and lows with great punch in club mode. Its currently on sale for $459. Normally $519. The 15" is even better with plenty of headroom for $599. I would get the 15" for bigger venue.
Right?! They sound amazing for its size! Haven't heard the 15 but if its anything like the 12 and i can imagine it is!! Its a must have! Especially for that price point. Thanks for chiming in! Appreciate you
Thank you for watching🙏 It’s a very good speaker for smaller-medium sized events. Works well outside too but of course has it’s limitations. I’d recommend the YXL15p for a little more headroom and satisfaction
The EF15Ps are another class of speaker plus they are 15 inches as opposed to these 12 inches. The best thing you can do is test them out at your local music store if possible.
Honestly for an outside event. A pair of these would fall short. Your better off possibly getting the 15s and maybe even adding a sub for anything outdoors with the yxls
Mannn, I'd recommend a DJ save up and try and find the Yorkville PS12's used (very rare to find used, many won't sell them, they're that good and dependable) I was able to find and buy (4) .... Won't be disappointed and your review, even on USED ones, would be much favorable.... Ask me how I know,,,, LOL... But overall, Dj s just need to get what works for them..... I rather spend the little extra money and have very few limitations with my sound... #Salute
I use the PS12's ...$1200/each. Sounds awesome. Built like a tank. Ocassionally when I have bigger gigs, I use them in conjuction with a pair of my Yorkville Paraline Double 12 subs...$2000/each. Will knock your socks off doing a crowd of 500 guests. Built like a tank. Will last "forever". They get their signal feed from my Driverack PA2. I have had tons of compliments on how clear they are, as well as on the feel of the subs. Don't shrink back from Yorkville's double 12 subs...I compared them to the QSC K sub (a double 12 also but set up differently inside). The QSC K Sub is "OK", but it does NOT come close to the Yorkville Paraline double 12 subs. Also, even though PS12's weigh 60 lbs, they have 5 handles built in....one on top, TWO on the the sides (one on the Left and one on the right) so that you can lift the speaker like a normal human being using two arms. The last two handles are indents into the sides just below the top of the speaker and those do come in handy.
@@noahman27 Yeah, I had a pair of the Paraline Double 12's and Double 15's.... I sold all except 1 Double 15 which the amp went out on me....I also sold my 1st Gen PS 15's which developed a "rattle" to them after the 1st year of heavy usage..... Now, I'm running (4) PS12's with for smaller gigs, I'll use (2) with pair or single LS808 passive 18" subs, and for my larger gigs, I'll use my LS2100's (1st Gen, 2nd Gen sounded like trash when I heard them at the Atlantic City Expo) I have (4) of those 21" MONSTERS.... I have a few videos on my page showing me using either 2Tops x 2 Bottoms and 4Tops and 4 Bottoms...Check em out when you get a chance 😎 And Mannnn, YOU living in Canada where they're made at, you should be getting/finding awesome deals out there.... they're rare where I live at (Philly, PA) I have to go to N.Y. to find and buy mine (Used) #Salute #TeamYorkville
Ohh Yeah, I also had a Pair of the PSA1 speakers, I'm still upset that I sold them... If you can find those Used, they Pair GREAT with the Double 12's... That was my wedding system...Always got compliments from that sound and look combo... I Love those PSA1 tops, but NOT for $1,900 USD... I bought mine pair used with one of the Yorky Double 15s for $3,300..another Good combo...
Yes I agree the parasource line is great! I actually have the PS15ps and I use them for my bigger events. Love them! They do have a higher price ticket but are well worth it if you use them regularly and especially if you can find a pair used even better!
i have yxl 15 subs, theyre decent, very punchy, loud enough for my bar band, you wont get much bass from a 12 inch speaker, get the 15s, or 12s with subs
@@GastonMaqueda You are mistaken my friend. For the price of $1589 CAD you are looking at the yorkville parasource PS12p! The higher end line. These are the Yorkville YXL12p which are $600. There’s a difference.
Keep in mind these are quality budget speakers. The QSCs definitely have more output and clarity overall over these. Honestly though these yorkvilles can hold their own but you need to have a listen for yourself in person to make your own informed decision. Thanks for watching🙏

can you do a review on the synergy series? The big wannnnn
I'll see what i can do my friend
Sounds like a dope speaker. I need to hear it in person. Thanks
I promise you’ll love it! The clarity and bass is jaw dropping for a speaker this size & weight
you should try the ld systems icoa line of speakers they punch well above there weight
Thanks for the recommendation. I'll check them out
What you would say this is 1-10 comparing the EF15P ? You think the Yorkville EF15P worth the $$$ ? I want to go pick one up for fathers day

@@DjNinesworld true … thanks for your opinion bro 🍺
I use Alto TS315 for over 3 years now and now, I got excited to try these. Would you recommend me to go with 15 or 12 with subwoofer?
I would go with the 15s for most venues without even needing a subwoofer to be honest. Excited for you bro!👍
were these better than the alto ones?
Great thorough review as always!
Thanks bro🙏
Hey man, do you think 2 of the 15" versions and 2 18" subs would be a great combo for venues up too 200 people? Good setup? (same series)
Oh man most definitely!!!! Actually I’m in the works of doing a review of the 15s coming out soon.
