Just for clarification. I don't make yt vids for money! But I do want to have more time to do what I love to do which is making videos. And the only way to do that and still be able to feed myself is to make more money from my videos. Which leads me to the crossroads of whether I should leave halo or not. There are other topics that generate way more views. But I want to do halo specifically. This is why I have a difficult decision to make.
I strongly recommend covering other topics you enjoy. Authentic interests which truly concern your hobbies really are just as interesting to me as when my favorite Halo tubers make normal Halo videos. I'm not an "€×peR+", but I saw someone say that you should try the community vote option and see what your subscribers think. Personally, I'm super glad to hear how comprehensive you are as a channel owner. And either way, I'm here for it. Subbed.♥️🎮🤙
I'm sorry to hear this, brother. Your content and your community and game nights have been such a chill experience and I've really valued and appreciated that. In the end, you have to do what's best for you. But I'll stay tuned no matter what. Best of luck, my friend!
Hurts me to hear halo is dying , i remember in junior high playing halo 3 and the multiplayer doing the vidmaster challenges. Or how shook i was seeing the halo teach beta trailer. I guess all of us are stuck in the past
i understand the proplem of you want to moving on,but hey your video give us a really relaxing time and i sure dont want you to leave Halo, its what make this channel and i love all your work,we can help you for content if you want to move on cuz like a said,we (or at least me) love your video and i believe you will do the right thing on this channel, take care buddy
you shouldn't make UA-cam videos for money. Do it because you love it. It should be something you do when you want to say something or create a community. I think you've done that. I know you're pretty busy with work a lot of the time, but I think you could find a niche. people still play these games, they're cult-classics. Things like game nights and events could be your niche, I can't think of anyone else who does those. It's your decision, do whatever you want. We'll always be here to support you. Love ya bro, do what's best for you. ❤
I didn't explain this well enough in the video. I dont make yt vids for money. The money aspect isn't for the sake of having more money. Money doesnt make me happy. The money aspect buys me time. If I can make enough to replace one shift a week from a regular job, I'll have an extra day to work on videos. I don't "want" the money. My goal is to use the money so I can slowly over time phase out of full time and eventually go part time at my day job. This will then allow for more content creation. It's not a greed thing at all. It's just simple math. I have however reduced my cost of living substantially. Car is paid off. Rent is split multiple ways. Phone bill is as cheap as I can get it. I never eat out. So I'm moving in the right direction. I love making videos. It's what I want to do for the majority of my time. But the only way to get there reliably is to pick a topic that is relevant and will sustain relevancy for the foreseeable future. And unfortunately halo is not that. If a new developer picked up the title and it moved away from the slipspace engine then it would be a more reliable topic. But in its current state its not looking good and hasn't for awhile. Content creation is similar to the job market. You've got to position yourself correctly to have as much oppurtunities for success as possible. At this point I'm having to decide what topic I want to go with. I want it to be halo. But I feel there's just not enough steam left in the franchise. We will see. Thankyou for the support it truly means a lot
I understand this feeling, of the Halo videos that I have posted, they haven’t gotten a lot of views, but when I uploaded a video about street fighter, it got way more views then all of my other videos combined. Halo is a passion of mine, but I also don’t want an average of 30 views per video. Best of luck!😊
If I was in your situation I would keep making halo content for couple of months but while doing that look at other games like halo or just other games in general and see if any peak your interest. And if they do maybe make a few videos about them and gage your veiwers interest in them (personally when halo kinda started to dry up i got into fallout). Love your videos and I hope you keep up the good work❤️
I think every Halo UA-camr sees the writing on the wall but many refuse to admit it. The Halo franchise stopped being good when 343 took over. Halo CE through Reach had a certain magic to them that none of the 343 games had and it has taken a toll on community interest. Halo Infinite was the nail in the coffin because it was supposed to be the game that would bring Halo back and yet here we are 1.5 years into release and is still lacking and doesn't feel like a completed game and the player retention is awful.
Mate I only just subscribed and all i can say is if you do make other content, keep it on this channel. I also understand your frustration and wanting to be able to create content with limited funds and time.
Ill try to move the channel over to other games. Im excited for starfield. Hopefully it isnt a mess when it releases. But yeah all gaming content will remain on this channel for sure. Thanks for subscribing and watching!
I sold my Xbox a couple months ago. 343, Microsoft and AAA studios have really just kinda disappointed me too far lately. I’ve been a halo fan since 2001. Halo infinite broke me.
go for it mate, I removed infinite and just moved forward. going much better now, not annoyed at halo anymore just accepting that halo ended with bungie. Better to move to other games
Im in the same position really. I made a few videos which seemed to pop off but to do this consistently is really tough. If bigger channels like Sean W are quitting i dont think its unreasonable for you to ask questions about why you are doing this. For me its all about learning new skills, video editing/photoshop/blender and putting out content and having a voice. Also worth considering that you are comparing yourself to channels that haven been around for years and have built an audience who will stick around for them. Only thing to do is stick with it and look for other games or content you might want to speak about. Maybe try some shorts in that area to get you started and dont worry about the views. They will come in time if you learn something from each video you put out
It's just a bummer because I'm getting good at halo thumbnails and titles. And I love halo. It's going to certainly be an adjustment having to edit and create videos on topics I'm not knowledgeable in and probably won't love as much as I do halo. Thanks for watching I appreciate your input
@@MR.AlIEN8ED I think there is still plenty of value to be had from Halo as a content creator. Its just not in the new game. There are a few new channels I see doing things like speedruns or "reviews" or retrospectives of the old games. One channel I like seems to be working through each of the levels from each of the games giving his thoughts and impressions on different aspects of the design and story. A lot of it has been said before but the guy seems to get views and has plenty of subs. For me Im going to continue to cover Halo but also pick 2 or 3 other games I enjoy. Going to be tough though cause I spent so much time in Halo still
Dam I can't even blame you Rly disappointing watching an industry i loved fade away But no worries i believe u can venture out into different topics Maybe try videos on music, art, sports basically any other hobby you have Dost necessarily have to be related to gaming I would though rly love it if u upload 1 or 2 vids a month just for the og fans Good luck with your journey I believe in u
I've recently discovered you and enjoy your content. I'd hate to see it stop, but I understand. I do think you should consider covering other games as well. Maybe Starfield?
It’s crazy as you’ve only really just started UA-cam 11 months ago. If only I could get 2.5k subs in that timeframe. Don’t throw it all away look into other content to make there are plenty of games that you can focus on halo has been in a tough spot for a decade so sidelining it for other content is a good move
Here's a secret. This was a vlogging channel for 5 years before it became a halo channel. In those 5 years I got 1000 subs through vlogging. So only 1500 of my subs are halo subs lol. 1500 in one year is still way better than 1000 in 5 years. I just worry about halo dying out.
@@MR.AlIEN8ED I as well. As someone who’s been with halo since 2008 I want halo to succeed just as much as you. We never will die we just go missing in action so one day hopefully we’ll return
The oversaturation of fps games and content creators makes it impossible to focus your content on one subject, you shoukd continue to cover interesting Halo Topics your decision if your open to feedback should be to create content on multiple aspects talk about updates in Halo and broaden your horizons as far as gaming, burn out is real when you put all your eggs in one basket your doomed to hit these walls
If you are looking for financial stability YT isn’t the best idea. My understanding is that a lot of it is luck. If you like generating content maybe try to be a gaming journalist of some kind. This UA-cam channel would look good on your resume and that’s a job you can do on the side.
My full time job is my financial stability. But I want to develop more stability for the future. An additional income of just a few hundred a month would definitely help.
Halo infinite at best is an average game. Games like and apex, destiny there always doing something new every new season . Infinite is giving us what past halo games and other games had in past.
Halo infinite feels as if they are pulling on your nostalgia for the success. Using classic enemy, weapon designs and classic music and art style. I really love how they went back to it but again it feels like it was to gain our favor
I'd advise you to just abandon Halo. Perhaps try to find another game? We won't be getting another Halo for another 6-7 years and lord knows the TV show is doing us no favors. Halo as an IP is a sinking ship. It's best we abandon it now. No more waiting.
Don't want to be mean, but you staked your claim on a dead game. I watched the dual wielding video, and I liked it. I think if you branch out and cover similar topics with a variety of games, you could find more success. I mean, look how many Halo YTs left the game and found much more success... Zanny, Luke the notable, Invicta... like you said, Halo is not in a good spot by any means. The market is kind of controlled by two or three channels at the moment.
I knew going into it that it was potentially a dead end. But I love this game and I love making content about it. I've remained hopeful for its comeback for a long time. I'll have to look at other games maybe
Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. Arena Shooter games, especially games like Halo, are a pretty niche interest these days. I mean, who's watching Quake or CSGO or even DooM? Nobody. They'll probably come back into prominence someday but for now the majority of people don't even stay up-to-date with them anymore. Arena Shooters are a deep-seeded competitive tradition, and they're not going away, but they're not a good investment right now. I love Halo and I take breaks from it but I still enjoy playing it, because I like Arena. Halo Infinite is one of the most fun games I've ever played and the most balanced of any Halo sandbox-wise, but it isn't hip. Even if Halo launched fully content-complete, it still wouldn't have stayed in the limelight for long.
If only it launched without all the bugs and lack of content. Also it needed to launch with a battle royale just for relevancies sake. We need tatanka already. I don't want to give up on this game it was my whole childhood
I love watching Halo gameplay and seeing all the shots that shouldve missed but hit, all that shots that shouldve hit but missed, all the melees that dont regester and the lunges that dont lung over half the time, the grapple not connecting, 3 shot weapons taking 4 shots, 4 shot weapons taking 5. What a Dogshit game. Id quit this game too If I where you but keep the channel. Do what you love man but hey...starfield bro.....start making some starfeild vids when it comes out.
I hope infection is more than just the regular gamemode. I hope its an entirely new section to the game. New maps and skins. In depth mode variants. I want it to provide an additional section to the game the way warzone did in h5. That's honestly what the player base deserves. Would bring a few people back as well
