If you want to you can make response video to comments as a follow up video, it will gain attraction, yeah every ytuber does that when thier video gets alot of hate or critisim, hey atleast you have content for a while.

      I remember playing reach infection for 2 straight summers in junior high. That pistol bloom still haunts me to this day lol

      Because thats all they had going for them in 4-5. Bungie managed to make infection like the least played mode because everything else was great

    Translocator helps with this big time. Note the non infected player gets a break off the pressure you and you get a chance to kill multiple Spartans before you die.
    Goal as a zombie used to be just to kamikaze and get Spartans one at a time.
    Now I can at least try to rush a group, take one, then disappear.
    Having more fun with infection than ever right now.

    Now infection is pretty much hide in a corner of the map where the enemy either can't find you or get close enough to kill you.

    i hated infection in pretty much every game except reach because of the infecteds dash/roll ability

    Man that is such a good idea. I feel like it's tricky also when most infection rounds last only like 4 minutes. But I do like the concept of a infenction person becoming more powerful. It might even be interesting for the survivors too.

      Yeah there needs to be infection based maps. Designed meticulously for only infection. Think nacht der untoten from call of duty world at war. Making defensive style maps would help balance out the stronger and faster zombies. There's a lot that could be built from this gamemode and I bet you we will see some amazing infection forge maps

    I can understand how you feel about older infection modes, but personally I really like how infinite does infection with the quantum translocator. It adds a whole new aspect to the infected gameplay that encourages more strategic placing of travel points or whatever they’re called and it often leads in the infected winning matches fairly quickly. In all honesty, I prefer being a beta zombie than an alpha zombie cause then I can move more.
    (Also I really like how you put captions in videos. It really helps cause I wear hearing aids.)

    I dont think its really gonna be a big problem. Infinites seems to me (obviously from only looking at gameplay we have been shown) like they have tweaked the gameplay a little to make it more fun. Looks like the infected have the same mobility that survivors have. The shroud screens will allow infected to sneak up a little easier. The alpha zombies have some invisibility so they can catch survivors more off guard. And obviously the mode will be fantastic in customs with new settings and variations.

    Class idea: Smart zombie, the smart zombie is not very strong all around but has the ability to pick up the surivors weapons

    There was a game mode called virus in Timesplitters. Infection is basically a copy of that but its boring. Virus in timesplitters was chaotic and sometimes scary. Unfortunately if they made a timesplitters game today it would probably be garbage. Filled with cosmetics just like halo infinite.

    Btw i played a bit of infection (its fun btw) what ive noticed is the announcer can say very weird stuff or is gliching its cool that they show the ai effecting even the announcer if you make a video on it you can include that (for infinite)

    i agreed in most part of what you said,but however the infection mode is still the mode the community love,the fact that the gamemode is fun and boring at the same time,and that is what made the game how it is and i love that,beside the infection would told player a story that no other game could and thats what i love about this game

    You're overthinking the mode, the fun in being infected comes from working with other infected players to outsmart and outmanoeuvre the humans, the humans are more powerful but they only have one life and limited ammo, what you are suggesting would just lead to the Infected wiping out the Humans easily.
    Infection is an asymmetrical game mode that initially favours the humans but then changes to favour the Infected as a single Human has to fend of 15 Infected with limited ammo.
    If you want to fight flood then just play campaign or flood firefight,.

      Ammo doesn't have to be as limited as it is for survivors. Also the forge we have access to is easily capable of creating infection style maps that create strongholds for the survivors.
      Lastly, the health and speed boosts I suggested would not be significant and the emp class is balanced due to it being a highly visible target. Flood classes would be fuckin epic on h3 or reach

      @@MR.AlIEN8ED Then you're just fundamentally changing the game mode, the point of the Infection mode is to simulate that classic Zombie Horror movie scenario, you can kill the zombies easily but they just keep coming, you're running out of ammo and every time you lose an ally you gain an enemy
      By evening the playing fields you don't get that experience anymore, A flood mode could be interesting (but flood firefight seems to scratch that itch fine at the moment) but Infection is fine as it is, 343 already tried changing Infection with flood mode in Halo 4 and the community pushed back so they got rid of it in Halo 5.
      It seems like you just don't enjoy the Infection game mode that much (which is fine, there are modes I don't like as well) but you shouldn't ruin it for people who do, come up with a Flood Defence game mode (could be similar to Reach invasion) but leave Infection as it is.

    I think Left4Dead 2 does a good job of being a game that is engaging for both zombies and survivors. It has zombie classes that are easy for survivors to kill, but their unique abilities allow for fun enjoyment with mechanics. It allows for escalation as dead players can become additional zombies iirc.

    I like classic infection. the point is to flood the enemy until they run out of ammo. That's what made it so fun in Halo 2 and onward. All the other versions that they tried to push like Halo 3's "Save One Bullet", Halo Reach's "Infection" (aka evading zombies), Halo 4's Flood (2-hit to kill, shields, abilities, etc) all sucked. Even Infinite's already sucked. People desperate for Infinite to have a W are just simping this version hard but it's just as annoying as the flood version in Halo 4. Halo 4 after a few months people got tired of OP zombies and had to give us classic, like all other titles, with normal zombies. In that case "Last Stand".
    This infinite version got so bad that the meta is for survivors to hide, not fight. And for infected to camo camp. It's so cheesy to always have infected win. And it's held together by gum and paper clips because if you even change one aspect of it, it will completely fall apart. "get rid of survivor time score" well guess what you just did then? Now alpha's never have to move up and can camo camp the back of the map and wait for you to come to them. "take away infinite ammo, overshields and unlimited ammo from last man standing timer" welp name its a 100% infected always win. "remove powerup pick ups" well now you literally get rid of any edge.
    Seriously, claissic works even better in infinite with fast speed, it doesn't need to give alpha perma camo or slingshot telees or Requis's bedsheet abilities. It plays fine in CGB and is way more fun than this new version that feels like it was designed for esport players. Getting 5 human kills a match on average now and going down from 2000XP to 500XP on average is boring now.

    Halo 4 balanced infection with flood mode. But people hated how strong the zombies were. So they went back to weak zombies in halo 5. I would be good if they added flood spores that could make the humans waste ammo.

    I’m assuming you’ve tried already tried Halo Infinites Infection at this point, but being the zombie is extremely fun. However, I wouldn’t mind another mode like the one you are saying. Reminds me of the asymmetrical mode from Left for Dead.

    Maybe its just me but when halo 5 infection first came out, with AR and shotgun start, I actually liked being the infected. Sure it was always more fun to be the survivor ngl, but it was at least still fun to be infected. Then, maybe a year after infection came out and the starts were changed from shotgun and AR to shotgun and magnum, and infected movement was retooled. But for that year in 2016 I actually can say I enjoyed being the zombie.

    Each maps description has a difficulty rating. Difficulty is based on map visibility.

    When I play custom infection, the infection at start almost always leaves 95% of the time. So when I play custom infections, that’s the only time I enjoy being infected. I give them a lot of help for infection to travel and hide but half the times players don’t know how to use their brains lol

    I think infections OK. It’s a fun party mode to chill in. But I agree sometimes I am having a great time playing the zombie. Other times I am getting rolled 😂

      343 can handle adding an alpha mode with some simple alpha traits like health and speed. As much as they have fumbled they can handle that atleast

    Give em an energy sword thats like a buffed duelist sword for more movement would be a good way to help In my opinion but thats a very small change, more could probably and should probably be done.

    Do you know if infection in past halos affected KD ratio? I don’t wanna play and die many times as a zombie and ruin my stats on halo tracker

      In my opinion the stats are entirely meaningless so there is nothing to ruin, doesn't matter how high or low they are.
      its just a number on a video game, it doesn't do anything for you and so theres no reason to even bother worrying about it, just have fun on the game instead of caring about stats

    I think it would be cool if the first 3 infected after the round starts would get a health boost and are kind of slow then, every new infected after that would get faster until they are super fast but their health boost decreases, by Idk 10% each new infected.

    It's a good point, I LOVE infection (more than 13 000xp in Halo 3 living dead playlist), but I hate being the zombie, but it's part of the game 50/50 😅I will say it was ok to be zombie in H3 but in Reach with the scope magnum and abilities damn it was tough!
    That being said, 343i could have use one of their best creation for this gametype in Halo Infinite but didn't: BOTS
    Yeah, just spawn 2 or 3 Spartan difficulty bot as alpha and here you go! But yeah, ain't happening. I don't see why they also didn't give the Zombies the grappling hook too.
    Hopefully they fixed a bit the custom games in season 4 to allow us to do that ourselves.

      It needs to be evolved. It could be better. And with flood already in the campaign, it seems like a no brainer. I have no idea why flood classes haven't been implemented yet
