    Awesome, I've been scratching my head for a bit trying to figure out why the transmission needed to be jacked up..., from your video I think I got the answer, but let me know if I'm missing something: it looks like the transmission needs to be raised to clear the housing from the two studs on the cross member so you could in turn remove that, so you can in turn access all the 3-4? bolts fastening the housing support to the housing itself. . . I'll have to look at mine again, but is there any reason you can't remove the support with the housing as an assembly, leaving the cross member on, and not jacking up the transmission, or does that need to be supported still once the extension is off of the tranny? thanks in advance!

      The only reason I jack up the transmission is to hold it up while the cross member is out. And it makes it easier the get the cross member out.

      @@mechanicgray thanks, I could have sworn the manual.Said there was some kind of snappering access plate that needs to be removed, But perhaps that's only for gen2? Btw, Did it turn out to be a bearing?How was the bushing looking inside, and did you make a reseal/reassembly video on this project?
