The hi hats are unbelievable, i simple can not believe that hi hat naunces and tempo, its sounds so robotic and so human at the same time. Never heard something like this before, this tempo is inhuman
I first read about them in the local newspaper given away free on the bus! It said they were playing that night, and that night I left my friends in the pub to go and watch, been a huge fan ever since. And I converted a couple of others to them, very satisfying.
I just cannot even picture anything better than this! the concentration, the offtiming, just ahahweahouifahse vkwdhnw Also obsessed with japanese so! :]
Bye! VV
+stgfan11 She's conserving pretty much all her energy. To an above average drummer, this isn't that difficult. And I mean no disrespect to her or the band. I first found out about them from the Hella DVD.
+Eric Sandoval i tend to agree.... nothing complicated. pretty much in the pocket all hour round. This comment was made by someone who knows nothing about drums. its a 120-140 bpm. Nothing to reach my stamina to darkness.
Any drummer with a decent amount of technique SHOULD be able to play 16th notes at this tempo on something with easy rebound such as the hi hat for even an hour.
Japan, the country where you can make minimalist electronic music without machine. It's about pursuing the perfection in the repetition. A bit like the practice of katas in karate.
This is like not taking enough shrooms you feel good and get that feeling that you are about to trip but the trip never comes its good and very disappointing at the same time

Esta ejecución de hi-hat es de metafísica.
The tightness and consistency of this band (the drums in particular) never ceases to amaze me
These guys should have played at CERN. For some reason it makes perfect sense to me.

in english "guys" is short hand for "people". It doesn't mean male or female.
I stumbled onto this trio about 4 months ago. I Fricken LOVE them.....but can't get anyone to listen to them.
I hear you and feel with you.
I'm listening mate!

I came across them some years ago. I can't remember where though. My mind thinks Tumblr for whatever reason.

+Ernst jäger I was thinking the same thing. How does the drummer not just go batshit crazy on those drums at some point lol

This is one of the best things i've ever seen or heard
It;s no wizard/flame
true, but if i was commenting on that i'd have said "This is the best thing I've ever seen and heard"

Saw these 3 open for Battles and they blew me away.
Never going to listen to anything else ever again.
I just cannot even picture anything better than this! the concentration, the offtiming, just ahahweahouifahse vkwdhnw

Saw them play live a few years ago. They are the last band I saw, and will remain so until I die. Not joking.

This is like the band battles, but in an opposite kind of fashion.

Lethal.
Droppp Da Snaarrre
Oh fuck yes.
At 00:21 the clock on the stage shows 1min 5secs but at 33:43 it shows 40min 34secs. That's bananas.
I think it's just that the shooting was edited without caring about the chronology of the shots.
Would this mean that the image doesn't match the sound?

So what for the pedals, guitars... to do just chikichikchikchikchik? cannot understand...
Wire, but if Bruce Gilbert had his way, and were a bunch of Japanese women and not British men, and weren't Wire.
