Excellent lesson. Further proof that without Mick's riffs and tone, there wouldn't be a Motley Crue.
That's so frickin awesome. I worked with one of the early guitar players of Firehouse. They were called white heat then.
Learned this in 10 secs
Awesome learning about yours & Les' friendship! Love this song too & I will apply your guidance to my guitaring
Watching all motley lessons since I got my tickets for summer 2020.
Niiiiiiice
Dude same they're expensive but I got tickets to petco park in San Diego but this dumb caronavirus shit going on
This didn't age well :(
Another one of my favorite Crue songs and another great lesson by THE best instructor on UA-cam. Once again, a big thanks to Mike for the free lessons!
Nice job. Mick is the man, so underrated even though he was/is so famous. Just killer riffs and such an amazing sense of melody. This song is super sleazy, I love it...
Thanks for making this video. Totally awesome! Just what I was looking for.
that is sick that you know mick mars !
Theres no better teacher than the dude that knows the Crue. thanks again for another one.
*sidenote: my favorite riff ever is Knock Em Dead. You ever wondered how it sounds so much like Grinder by Judas???
This, Aldo Nova's "Fantasy" and "In my dreams" are by far my favorite leads
Mike, what's up brother... Been checking out your videos for awhile and was blown away when you bought up Les being a friend of yours and when he lived in Rubideux. I was friends with Pat and Angie... lost contact when they moved and Les moved to Malibu when his dad went ontour..... yeah that was a great time..!!! Looking forward to seeing more of your videos... now I feel like I'm jamming with an old friend and tell Les I said what's up
HEY THATS AWESOME MAN YA ME AND LES DO ALOT OF BACK N FORTH
Mike, great job as usual! I don't know how you can put out so many videos. I am looking forward to seeing Les on here teaching one of his dad's songs. I recommend "Louder than Hell." Love that song as well as all the rest of Mick's work.
You have an amazing guitar tone
Thanks Mike, Mick is a huge influence on my playing. Very under-rated, he is.
Awesome song!! Great lesson! One of my top 5 fav "Mick riffs". This very song is the absolute single reason I bought a guitar and started my journey of trying to learn to play, some 20 yrs ago. This song brings back a lot of great memories, unfortunately of some very terrible noises that I made my poor amp play. LOLOL Thanks again for another great lesson sir... \m/ \m/
Mike, you are the best my man! Thanks.
Another great vid Mike. Thanks man! Ten seconds ta lo-ooveee!
+GainesMediaInc keep ROCKIN
Great execution of one of my favourite, nasty guitar tracks. You pretty much gave me the feeling Mick Mars gives me, when I listen to him. That's a rare feat.
Hell yeah. Awesome, mike!
thanks so much, you are the only Guy in youtube, who has the Balls to teach motley crue
AWESOME
been watching alot of your videos. HUGE HELP!! just recently gained the interest in learning, and by far these have been super helpful! any videos on the verse for this song? this is one of the first songs I've been able to get down and would love to learn the rest of it! thanks brother!
Wow Chance thanks man 👍 I appreciate your support and encouragement 🙏

Excellent mike! ive noticed recently live mick has been doing the opening riff with pull off's. but he does like to change things up live...lol. great lesson brother, even though i already knew this song it's nice to see if i actually knew it right ha ha ;)

Tone is awesome
Thanks scott
thanks for this lesson mike
Very welcome bro
Mike could you please do a lesson on the solo of this song
i watched it...great job man..by the way-im going to do covers again.im safe with motley
Great video man!
THANKS MUCH
@@mikegrossguitar of course! Hey I did have a question though, are you only doing 1 " chop"? I see a lot of tabs that have two A notes, then a chop, then a A note, and then another chops. This is much harder to play and I prefer your sound a lot more. Let me know your thoughts. Again, thanks for covering my favorite Crue song!
Cool dude. I like how you try to delicately put it, that he upstaged you guys. Hope the set went well though. D.J.
You are the MAN .. I would love it if you could please make a bass video of this song .. Im a HUGE Motley Crue fan and the band Im trying out for wants to do This song and I can not find one decent tab or video for this song .. can ya help Me brother ?
Good stuff mike. Perhaps you could teach kickstart my heart?
I love how simple it is to play yet so powerful! By the way your acoustic in the background is leaning on the neck. Is that bad for it? Just asking. You rock!
i know i know.haha ;)
haha i here that.and your very welcome my metal brother
Mick Rock's i'm a huge fan!.. Can you do Kick start my heart? I hate learning my favorite songs with the wrong tab information. still not good enough to play by ear. so i rely on tabs heavily. and most of the time they are mega wrong..
me too man.someday i promise ya
hey mike,
any chance we can get you to do a cover of the scopions doing a cover of the who's
I can't explain??
that should about cover it
best regards-wayne
What are your amp settings to accomplish the distortion? treb, bass, mid, presence? high gain? low gain? I'm running through a carvin v3 which has some real mean mean distortion.
This 'track' is Nikki's best bass line ever...
Can you please teach heart if looks to kill?
Mike, awesome lessons! How do you get that sound or tone? I tuned down all strings a whole step, have my EVH 5150 set on red with my Gibson LP and I get it dirty/grungy but nothing like what you have and yours sounds so much like Mick! Any hints to that? I am new to all this, about 8 months in! Is the sound more to do with technique? Thanks!
It's really all Mesa boogie w roktron multi efx
Could you do a lesson of the song Abigail or Puppets (The First Show) by Motionless in White
Can you do women in uniform by iron maiden???
sure wayne
keep yer palm CLOSE to the bridge-strings
Niceeeeee
i know this is an odd question. But i trust ur crew knowledge. I just got a recent crue music book and it is all but one song, home sweet home. Tuned down a full step every song. I know as folks age sometimes u tune down mayby as mick ages he tunes down but every thing even the too fast for love era? Was that all tuned down? Just seams odd to me whats ur thoughts.
Yes, from day one.

I recently started to pick up my guitar a couple months ago and all I’ve been doing were finger exercises. Should I choose a song I like now and try to get it down? I just don’t want to practice the same song over and over and get bored.
Stay at it
Hey man I started about same time as you and I can play W.A.S.P animal with out solo
Sorry buddy about negative comment ur a bad ass teacher i been frustrated cause i csnt get solo
How about motley raise your hands to rock and keep your eye on the money
That'll be 3 hours for me, then, zombee38. :0)
How do I do a power cord
Play fret 5 on the low E string & fret 7 on the A string. There's you a Powerchord :)...
good thing the world didnt end
Mick Mars kung-fu

Motley is always dropped a whole step
;)
Pantera floods pantera floods pantera floods
