This is my favorite kitchen of all time! We moved from a house that we designed our kitchen around a huge old Chambers stove but your kitchen tops that ! Your design and decor is so well thought out and personal...brilliant really. From your sitting area..under cabinet plugs and separate fridge and freezer with those beautiful ..again brilliant..idea for the handles..wow.Fabulous job. Thanks for sharing.
John - WOW - thank you so very much. I really appreciate your kind words & thoughtful comment. Gotta love our old stoves!
I love your videos. You deliver lots of information without being boring. You are professional and add a touch of fun with each concept that you are speaking about. Beautiful home with great advice. Thank you!
Heather - Thank you very much! I truly appreciate your comment.
Love your kitchen! Great tips on the door handles and the window wall!TFS!
Kelly... just simply fabulous !! Everything about it all is incredible. This house is very lucky to have a family to LOVE IT!
Continue making videos of it ALL!!! 2 thumbs up for “thinking” out side the box with your handles! Black industrial pipe is extremely “in” now and I thought that was what your handles were. I have some throughout my home ( the ONE thing my husband can make that is considered contractor work ...LOL!!! ).
Excellent idea on the outlets too! Brilliant idea,, especially with that incredible countertop and backsplash.
I love your videos! I’ve watched some many times over ❤️
Love knowing that you can break up the freezer and fridge. Jumbo handles is so smart.
Yes Yvonne, it is a great option and gives you more flexibility in your kitchen design. Thx for coming by!
Love your style! Thx for the plug in tip, I'm re doing my kitchen and never thought about that!
Thanks Bryan! Oh my gosh plug moulds are the bomb!! Good luck with your kitchen :)
That is the most epic kitchen. Ever! I’m so enjoying your videos! I love adding a chair for pets and people! French! Farm house.! .. happy sigh.. perfection!
Wow - thank you Cynthia!
You have a new fan Kelly. Just love, love your style. I am for ever decorating changing things till I feel the balance. Now learning more and watching your videos are fabulous. I am a creative person and love sewing, arts and craft redoing furnitures etc. You are a breath of fresh air.
Glad you are breathing it all in Magdalena! :). Thank you and so happy you are enjoying the videos!
Hi Kelly! I just wanted to say I’m so glade I came across your you tube videos! I have watched hundreds of decorating videos, but yours is the best by far. I’m not a decorator. I’m 66 yrs Old and. About 20 yrs ago I finally realized that Decorating is my Passion I’ve only done it for myself and some family members. At the present my husband and I are updating our home, only to sale and move closer to our daughter. We already own a home about a hour away from her. We will up date that home and then sale it and move again about an 30 minutes from her. I wish I had a friend like you to do things with. You seem to be a great person, and I think you are wonderful. Thank you for all your tips, and keep up the great work. Oh by the way I’m a dog lover also. We have four little dogs. They are spoiled rotten, but I would not have it any other way. Again thank you.
Diane! So glad to meet you!! Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. I truly appreciate it and read it several times. FOUR doggies!? All that joy!! Thanks again :)
You have thee most beautiful kitchen ever, thank you for sharing!
Thank you SO much! I'll be posting more so maybe you'd like to subscribe... Have a great day!
Love your kitchen, wonderful ideas...I especially like the brass faucet, marble counter, the green depression glass, the STOVE! And your two furry friends ☺️👌🏼💕
Now I have 3 furry friends! Little Eve appears in later videos. Thank you !
Thank you for the tour you have a lovely home!
Thank you so very much Emily - it was a loong dusty road but we got it where we wanted it to be!
Love to revisit your videos! I always see something that I previously missed and learn something new!!!
Like an onion - lots of layers! hahaha . Thanks for coming by again Leslie!
I love your kitchen! One of these days I'm going to see it in person!
I know you will - but I also know 'in person' is a relative thing! Connected doesn't have to mean in the same room. But I would like that !!
Great video, new to your channel and I’m marathoning your videos as I’m enjoying them so much.. Thanks you for sharing the great tips that you have and your home is beautiful. The kitchen stove is gorgeous by the way, love it..😊❤️

Hi Kelly! I'm loving your channel. I'm in love with your vintage stove.
Hi Nikkie - glad you found me! I am smitten with my stove too. 1929 and she works like she came off the factory floor yesterday!
LOVE Your home, and your sweet doggies tops it off 🙏🏻💕🤗👍🏻🇺🇸 gotta have the bee pillow 🤗
Hey Gina! My sweet doggies do top it off in person too!!
I am more of an art deco but I LOVE THIS. Beautiful pieces and such a clean look. God bless your talent.
Thank you Candy!
Fabulous!!!
Absolutely love..
Just found your channel.love your kitchen. So jealious
Just Great !
The Stove is absolutely gorgeous and what a find on those door handles. Thank You for sharing your beautiful home! BTW, we went to Brookside to watch the fireworks last night and what a show they put on!!!
Hey Leslie!! Thank you so much. I was watching from the Pasadena Bridge. We were enjoying the same show. Keep cool - WOW was it HOT HOT HOT today. My plants are getting fried :( . Enjoy the weekend!!
Yes, it's TOOOOOO HOT!!! Stay cool and well hydrated! Have a great weekend!!!
Just in from night watering some new roses. Their leaves are so crunchy after the blazing day we had. ENJOY your weekend too!
I love the antique oven. It's definitly your kitchen focal point. My french canadian mother in law has a very similar white antique oven in her chalet and we use t to make toast or warm fonte casserol while we play poker in the kitchen table.
That sounds so delightful!! I want to join you - deal me in! :)
AWESOME STOVE!!
1929 ! Thank you!
It's wonderful to see all of your kitchen in a video. I've seen it on the blog, of course, but when you're moving around, I can really see how it connects with the rest of your house. That spot in front of the steel doors would be my favorite, too. I really can't wait for the next video on your kitchen. Btw, I think it's such a hoot that you weren't a dog person previously!! We've always had dogs - terriers the last 30 years. Our ten year old, wire-haired fox terrier, Brian, means everything to us!
I am a TOTAL convert to dogs!! I bet Brian is absolutely wonderful. Thank you for visiting me in the kitchen. There will be more videos from that room for sure.
My Soulful Home Yes, Brian is wonderful! I've actually never had such an affectionate dog. We weren't blessed to have children, so our dogs are really special to us. Here's a photo of Brian enjoying the morning sun. My husband is replacing the deck boards as we ready for putting our house on the market. On that note, I really appreciated the two episodes on readying your house for the market!

My Soulful Home Sorry. I couldn't manage to share that photo. Heehee I'm not very tech savy.
Love your kitchen I’m crying here. Asking my self why did I listen to .some people telling no to Carrara marble counters all these story. But I love them😭. I did the bathroom floor tiles in Carrara marbles did not listen to no one . I wish I could do my kitchen again New to your channel thank you. You give me hope one day lol xoxo from NYC Marlene .
Marlene - glad you went Carrara in the bathrooms! I have a few blog posts on Carrara in the kitchen. People think it stains. It doesn't it etches. So if you are ok with the etching I say go for it! Thx for watching!!
Wow. Where to start?! You are so creative with solutions and your design style is breathtaking. The muted color palette is everything. Thank you for sharing
What a wonderful comment to read ! Thank you very much. I am really flattered. New video coming tomorrow, so subscribe if you'd like so you don't miss any tips & tours!

Love your home and your design ideas! May you enjoy it and May God bless you and your home and family always and in all ways! Did you use the same paint color for both walls and molding?
Thank you Steven! You are so very kind. I wish the same for you. Yes, I used Ben Moore Simply White in velvet/egg shell for the walls & semi-gloss for the trim. I think it is best to use the same color just in a different sheen for the walls & trim. Hope to see you here again soon!
Is there a vent for that fabulous stove? BTW, I stumbled upon your channel and LOVE your tips and style!
No vent Susan....from a design perspective & taking into account the air flow in the room and after MUCH research I decided on no vent. It would have competed with the stove & if hidden in a soffit brought the ceiling down. High ceiling, Cali weather ( doors & windows open most days ) and it has been more than fine with no vent.
Your house is such an inspiration. My husband and I just bought our first home, an old Victorian and I love your tips. Love ! What type of floor do you have? Is it hard to
Hi Kelbel - thank you very much! Congratulations on your new 'old' home!! We replaced the miss matched and VERY lopsided flooring with a dark stained hardwood throughout.
I love how you set your table!!!! Your whole kitchen is beautiful!
Thank you so much! Soon the fall tour will be up, so hope you can pop back over. Subscribe so you don't miss any videos. Thanks again and have a great day!
Hello, where did you get you fridge and freezer? We've been looking for just a fridge and are having such a hard time. Your kitchen turned out beautiful, I showed my husband how wonderful it turned out.
Thanks so much Jeanine! My fridge & freezer are separate units as you probably saw. At the time I bought them only Miele & Thermadore made them as I wanted them. I purchased Thermadore as it was less expensive than the Miele but still a reputable brand. Now other companies may make the separate units in these sizes. Hope this helps! Thx for watching!
That's it I'm ready more than ever to move in. Where are your fridge and freezer from?
Thermadore - come on in! :)
beautiful home, I am in the middle of renovating my home, designing the space myself. Just a question hope you can answer, in regards your design experience, are you self thought or if you went to school for design. really like your style and your channel
Thank you so very much for the kind comment and for your question. I am a self taught designer. I am/was a trial attorney in NYC before moving to California and organically reinventing into a designer etc. I always loved design, houses & gardens. Best of luck to you with your renovation. Love the back of kitchen doors/windows! What is the name of the metal worker you used? I live in Socal and would love to find local craftspeople!
Oh thank you so much ! Glad to hear we are neighbors! Matt at Hollywood Ironworks made the doors for me.
@@MySoulfulHome I may be moving to pasadena in a 1920s Tudor-style bungalow, so I’m even more excited to add back some historic detail as you've done! Any tips on sourcing materials?
Hi Kelly, I'm a year late, but so glad I found you and your channel. I love your aesthetic! I have a question about the paint color. It appears that the lower cabinets are white and the top are a creamy pale yellow? Either way it's beautiful. I'm in the process of cleaning out and fixing up my elderly mom's home in So Cal. I'm in search of a pale creamy barely yellow paint for her kitchen. We are keeping the original vintage tiles that are yellow and brown. Her kitchen walls and cabinets are yellow. I need something similar to what you have to blend with existing tiles. Would you mind sharing? it would be so appreciated~ Thanks in advance
Hi Wendy! Thanks for watching & for your question. I am sorry my response was delayed I have been traveling. My kitchen cabinets & walls are all the same color. The lighting may have made the colors seems different to you. What you are seeing is the warmth of the white. It is Ben Moore Simply White. I think you should try it. It may have just the right amount of cream to pull in the yellow of the tiles. Where is the house? Do you know I am in SoCal too? A white kitchen is so classic, so if you can find a white that works with the yellow I would go that route. Hope this helps!
Hi K,lly, Thanks so much for your reply. Yes, I was actually thinking that your upper cabinets and lowers were a different shade from each other, but Like you said. I'm sure it's the lighting. It is a lovely color and I think will work. The house is in Garden Grove. All original tile from 1953. It isn't my favorite but is in good condition. Since we are planning to rent, I'm trying to work around it. I binge watched all of your vids after one of them popped up in my feed. I love your style and you are lovely at explaining things. I listened to a couple of your podcasts too. Great info and enjoyable. ~Wendy
Thanks so much Wendy! Best of luck with the renovation & getting nice renters. Hope to see you here again soon!
Can you tell me what fabric you made your kitchen curtains of?
Funny you should ask today Vicki as I just ironed them and put them back up this morning. They are white linen. Thx for watching!
I think I need brass fixtures!
I think you do too! ;) Thx for watching!
Hi There, just found your channel and I absolutely love this channel. I definately need help in decorating my home. Your tips made so much sense. We also purchased an old home, parts of it were built in the 1800's. I also have the long narrow living room that has been so difficult to decorate. I have a smaller room that used to be my mother's small apartment. However, my mothers bedroom and bathroom are rooms built't off the main room. To small to make into a family room. So, we end up using this room as our TV room. I don't like it at all. Your balance of furniture made so much sense. My husband is a Lazy-Boy guy. Our TV is on one wall and the recliners are the opposite. When you walk into the room you see the back of recliners, back of end tables, cords from the lamp, yuck! At the other 2 sides of the room are 2 Gothic Cathedral windows and on the other is a white open stair case. I have thought about turning our dining room into a tiv room. Using the bigger room for dining table at the window end, and perhaps a couch on the other end with maybe matching chair and perhaps a coffee table? I truly enjoy you channel and look forward to more.
I just found a vintage stove at antique market.. It gorgeous and listed for 450.00. My range stopped working two weeks ago. I have a farmhouse inspired kitchen. Was your restoration of that gifted oven you were so lucky to get extremely expensive? We live in Indiana and closes company is in Michigan and very expensive. Sorry to bother you. I would love to save this little beauty and not buy a new one.
So sorry my response is so delayed..not sure how your comment got so buried. The restoration of my stove was fairly expensive, but well below what it would have cost to get a new one. Hope you got the vintage stove!
Emmet is my dogs twin. His name is Willie Nelson
What a well named and HANDSOME doggie you have!!
I think you are a very good decorator. I subscribed. But i think the starfish is a little over, and i dont know of its real or not but it is the representation of a dead animal so... I live in a island so i see starfish cores ocasionally, so i associate with something dead. But you are a amazing decotator anyway just a tip keep the good work. ;)
Pedro - thanks for your compliment and for your perspective on the starfish. I had never thought of them that way, but now I will. All the best for a very happy 2020!
