What’s funny is that I googled “initial d GameCube controller” like 5 months ago and nothing appeared… this casually showed up as recommended today… amazingly done 💖
I genuinely think you should make a playststion style gamecube controller. Wired or wireless doesn't matter, it'd be cool to see the start button as the home button, playstation colors and special buttons that have the playstation buttons on them
I love this, been wanting a gamecube keyboard but me no moneys If this were me id cut out the middle of that bottom plate and chuck the foam for a better typing experience then I would pour some silicone into the bottom for some added heft
Why do these rare controllers always seem to find themselves in the hands of gorilla-handed Smash players and modders? These are iconic and rare. Stop abusing them. Keep them stock and play PSO or GTFO.
I wonder what community has the largest number of gamecube controller users and developed an extensive practical knowledge of maintaining and modding these controllers... Who knows, it's a mystery.
really well made video! it’s super cool to see a fellow gcc and keyboard enthusiast online! everything came out super clean and makes me feel more motivated than ever to try and do more ambitious things with my own personal builds. you did amazing and i can’t wait to see what you do next, new sub earned!
Yes go for it! These projects are super fun and challenging but you will learn a lot in the process. And I always hope to see more of us from the gcc making keebs. Both communities are so sick :D
Bro the keyboard controller for the GameCube. I want to unironically AND ironically use this for playing GameCube games playing Rom Hacks maybe playing games with a controller and as a normal keyboard for my computer I don’t even care if I have the mod or not I need this controller in my life!
For the core build itself, without keycaps/cosmetics, it was roughly $400+ or so. The Ascii Keyboard itself is the most expensive thing for this project. The Preonic was the 2nd most, however, if you just get a PCB about the same size then it should cut the costs by another $100 or so. Overall it was a really a blast to do. Expect a challenge, but have fun doing it :^)
@@jakefarmer JJ50 50% PCB from KPRepublic is a good alternative. It's about the same size as the preonic, however, this board uses micro USB instead of USB-C as a heads up.
@@iChuckBricks alright. i'm planning on not doing a few of the steps that you did, like painting or changing the buttons. the controllers don't even need to work, and i've found a pcb that is the right size and had the usb-c port in the middle. although the controllers working would be a nice touch, it is not absolutely necessary. thanks for the inspiration though dude, you're pretty awesome
@@満申 thanks dude! did it work alright / did you have to disable the controller functionality to get it to work or does the keyboard fit without desoldering that original PCB?
Dude this is so sick. Never even thought about playing half controller half keyboard. Looks mad OP lol
Yeah, it's weird at first but it feels super natural to transition to. It's definitely less taxing on the right hand.
Bros gonna be typing the fastet tofu orders with this keyboard
There was a Sega one to people forget about i think
so im struggling with actually putting the pcb intok the keyboard. could you help by any chance?
ill give details later
how does this not have at least 10k views?

You deserve far more than 500 subscribers.
Incredible work.
Everything about this video is so good, the production, the editing, and the build itself!
How does this not have more views?
So you just copied this to the letter: ua-cam.com/video/FZy5tXHHstA/v-deo.html
Yeah this build was the catalyst for this project. Holychipmunk is such a legend for making this.

That poor poor mint keyboard controller. :(
Wow, this went even harder than I expected it to
I'm pulling out all the stops!
Si estuviera en venta en las tiendas yo sería el primero en comprarlo 😍🤩.

Ya, it's original look alone is already super cool and unique. It's such a awesome controller :D
Videos that have 2 million views to me
I will buy one, too by the way :-)
This is amazing. I want it.

Thank you! :,)
YO CUSTOM ROBO ROCKS
great video holy
PSO AND CUSTOM ROBO MENTIONED
Wait AND Maplestory music?!
I want one
Nice MapleStory BGM
:^)
this is the greatest thing i've ever seen, as an ae86 owner, melee player and keyboard nerd this is like the holy grail of controller/keyboards
Actually really cool. Also how much was it to build this without all of the cosmetic mods? Thinking of doing this myself some time.
Also really cool video

I hope this vid gets viral, you deserve it ♡♡♡
Thank you :D
cool build ! nice too see a fellow keyboard enthusiast and melee player
i'm gonna be modding one of these soon, pretty hyped
is this build easy compared to a normal keyboard kit?
Nah I wouldn't say so. There's a lot more work involved here than what you'd get with a regular keyboard kit.
