- Paolo Bacigalupi's newest novel Navola is a tour de force in epic fantasy that wears its influences proudly on its sleeves while giving them just the right amount of spin to feel unique. I give a quick synopsis, tell you why you should read it and then go off on a long spoiler-filled ramble. If you don't want to spoil yourself you can stop at the apropriately marked point and come back later for the full ordeal. The main thing though is that you go and read the godsdamn book!

Thanks for the recommendation, this sounds awesome! I'll include this next time I buy books, I think.
I downloaded the book. Let you know when I start. 😊
Pretty spoiler-light review. Do you write scripts for your videos? If not then your knowledge and presenting is impressive
@@Caleb6000 thank you! I'm blind and can't read scripts so this is all improvised on the spot.
Spoilers
I'm curious to know what did you think of the descriptions of blindness in this book. Did it feel authentic? Is davico a bit of a superpowered blind man (excluding the dragoneyesight of course) or did you catch any slips of knowledge of how it is to be blind otherwise? Cheers
@@caiovalente1672 I thought about including a section about this and then forgot during the filming. It is complicated and I'll try to explain when I'm not at a heavy metal festival.
