    5:56 We should give you a medal just for the speed test work, Paul! You're so dedicated to figuring out all the little details like, the traction control, "eco mode" etc. Thanks for all the work.
    I don't own a single scooter on your comparison list simply because the 60V sport scooter class and sub 50mph have remained satisfying. The dual stem wolf scooters have zero appeal to me from a standpoint of weight, ergonomics & aesthetics. I guess the Mars could be included as it's another telescoping suspension front end.
    As an RS5 Max owner, the RS7 had some appeal but the weight is over the top and the many issues with the electroluminescent "paint" are everywhere as well as shipping damage problems. The behavior of the owner when reviewers bring up a concern is alarming. He tried to sue Freshly Charged and has accused small scooter channels of working for competitor scooter companies, when they're simply regular people documenting particular issues in a genuine effort to resolve them. I wont buy another Roadrunner because of this.
    I've always like the Nami Burn E and I own the Klima Max but the stem tube is undersized due to the tapering design and or the wall thickness isn't quite what it needs to be. It results in substantial movement, especially under hard braking. It's the same stem that they use on the Klima but it's scaled slightly better to the Klima's 87lbs weight. When I go from a Titan type stem or even the Gotrax GX3 for example, then jump on the Klima, the stem feels like a relative noodle. It's the one design change I'd wish for in this near perfect scooter. The head tube is incredibly beefy and the clamping mechanism is sound, the flex is all in the stem tube itself.
    The Inmotion RS appeals to me in just about every way and it's a bit lighter than its competitors. The Hyperion is even lighter which is super appealing and like the RS has the C-type suspension that I prefer. If I was to purchase a "hyper-scooter" right now, it would come down to these two. The RS has a long track record which is big pro. If Solar improved the electronic interface with regards to the modes working and allowed traction control to be disabled, I think I prefer its slightly more conventional design over the RS.

      Thank you so much for your feedback and analysis! OMG, I did more than 10 speed runs. It might have been 16. Each time, I'm holding the throttle pinned for ~1 mile! @@ShaggyRodgers420 Yes, it sure does. I'm excited for the Phantom 2.0 Stellar (60V) version. The only issue is the price and timing. It may not be available until Summer of 2025. I'm just not going to tie up $3500 for an indefinite amount of time just to get in on the pre-order pricing. If it does go up to $4000 and stays there, then they've probably lost me. The problem being it's deep into 72V 2880Wh scooter territory. I'm willing to pay a bit for the most premium 60V scooter but not thousands more :)

      @@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Yeah that's crazy. Think about that, 16 miles fully pinned... haha. That was a ton of work dude! It's really appreciated on this end. The good news is that you have the experience and know how to get off a scooter should you have too. You minimize the risks wherever possible by the places you speed test and you've got the best equipment on. It seems like there's usually trucks in the area so I'm sure someone could assist if you required help. Let's just hope that's never the case. :D

      @Patriot36 Im surprised to hear that about roadrunner. I thought that would be most comparable to The Mars XTR. Also figured because there supposedly an American company. I originally was looking at the RS than seen a guy get his out of the box with a broken shock and took 6 weeks for them to even respond. Also I seen a guy that had his controller go out in 3 months on the RS. Im so glad I went with the XTR. Obviously for mobility most hyperscooters aren't gonna be peoples top choice but if you want a beast you cant beat it.

    • @Patriot36
      @Patriot36 2 місяці тому

      @@joshwolters4549 I was neither surprised or unsurprised as they're so new. With regards to the "American company" indeed, they're based in CO. That stated, If the ownership isn't ethical, moral or at the very least able to remain objectively constructive when customers are running into issues, then who cares what nationality they are, right? Thanks to people like Louis Rossmann and his networking, there's a legal storm coming for manufacturers who attempt to sue UA-cam reviewers for doing nothing but sharing their honest, video documented experience.
      I've seen a handful of RS issues as well but you also have hundreds of pieces of data through youtube, Reddit, etc. and they're predominately favorable, that's a good sign. If on the other hand 5 of the first 8 reviews of a product have one or more issues, that's a bad trajectory.
      No doubt the XTR is a top dog! I always have a concern when I go to a manufacturers website and type-in "controller" or "motor" and nothing comes up on their parts page. But like anything else, if it doesn't break, it doesn't matter.

    Now that I own a scooter that goes 50 mph and that is my cruising speed at all times, I have to admit, even as a self proclaimed speed demon, I would not care to go faster than 50 standing on two wheels.

    • @ShawnGuffey
      @ShawnGuffey Місяць тому

      @@user-kf4gt7bo2k Indeed. My Roadrunner RS5 Pro can get 41 miles at lower speeds/gears using a single motor. I run dual motors in top gear with aggressive acceleration (4/5) and can get almost 24 miles from it. If I get the RS5 Max battery, which fits in my Pro deck perfectly, I could probably get about 35 miles or more riding like I do. For the prices they are, this is reasonably epic. The speeds at which I go through street traffic is borderline criminal, lol, and I'm happy to get the 23 1/2 miles out of it.
      I note that the battery level readout fluctuates drastically as I ride and rises dramatically and moving less often if I lower the gear and go to single motor. Range on your scooter of choice truly is all about how you ride it.

    Outstanding review. Covers just about everything. Lots to like about this scooter. For all that it offers, I like the fact that it's still mostly portable (you can pick it up).
    The split rims/tubeless is a quality feature.
    Your comments about water resistance highlights one of areas in which more work needs to be done industry wide - especially at the high end. If they can make split rimmed tubless, they should be able to seal up that battery compartment and motor in a way that'll keep water out. If a person is spending $3k+ they shouldn't need to worry about riding in wet conditions.
    It would also be nice to have that UL certification. But as you said, the majority of scooters don't fully comply in that area.
    This scooter has a lot to offer. Again - very good and comprehensive review.

    2. GPS Turn by Turn on display (Phone required)

    Hi Paul!🙋
    I don't want to criticise this scooter.. Only thing i want to say about "power" and your filling that cuts at top speed...
    The cells they uses are Samsung 48G with max discharge 9.6a (say 10a)
    The pack has 8 cells in parallel... So max discharge of the pack is 80a
    Controllers are 55a each!!
    So battery with 80a for a few seconds can't fuel 2 controllers that needs 110a..!!!
    That's why you are feeling something cuts top speed...
    Same cells, same mistake made Teverun with the first Supreme scooters and after 6 months (to New Supreme) change the cells of battery packs with LG M50LT...😘

    Thanks so much for what you do Paul. You're the best. So have this in silver and have been waiting for this one. Positives... it's weight, throttle response, quickness, stability, and braking. Negatives... disappointed in top speed, I don't think it's ip rated 66 as I ended up with almost 1/4 inch of water in the deck after being caught in a LIGHT rain. This caused electrical issues. Had to open the deck and in order to get the battery out the tron light broke on the tail plate. the Display wouldn't read mph till they gave me an updated one. Still can't connect to app but its pretty accurate now. I didn't know it had traction control as it's not mentioned on web site at all.
    All that said I need a back up and it's between the mars xtr and the rx7. I know you hate giving your opinions on such matters but man would I appreciate it! Lol. The rx is so damn sexy but the leaky steering damper, stem issues, and luminor issues have me worried and it's more than the xtr. I've droned on. But thanks for the great review!

      Thank you so much. The thing about steering dampers is they all leak. Or at least the ones that cost less than $300.
      I've given Solar feedback on my impressions of water resistance and I expect it will improve for the next batch.
      The XTR and RX7 ride very very differently. I really like both,. The RX7 is smoother than the XTR in every way, but especially throttle response. The XTR just wants to shred the front tire and requires a very controlled thumb to ride in top performance mode. The XTR's suspension travel is a bit shorter and stiffer, but I like the way it works for the road. I really like both, but they are opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of smoothness, with the Hyperion and RX-7 being much more similar. The RX-7 has updated the luminescent stuff from what I've heard, but I haven't seen the new stuff first hand. -Paul

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide

      Too early to tell from direct testing. I have a reliability score spreadsheet that automatically scores every scooter based on 11 reliability and serviceability factors in the database: warranty length, parts availability, battery brand, tubeless vs tubes, split rims vs not, IP rating etc.
      The Dualtron Storm gets 7.4/10 vs 8.8/10 for the Hyperion. I don't assign the scores, just the criteria and importance-level of each score and then the spreadsheet automatically calculates the score for every scooter in our database.

    Is the ZT3 Pro a good scooter because I am debating about it. The only thing holding me back is the speed because I wish that it went 30-35 so if you know any scooters less than 1k that could be off-roading and that has good suspension, along with intelligent features. Thank you.

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  2 місяці тому

      I was going to say yes until you got to intelligent features. It’s hard to beat the app-feature-set of the ZT3 if you like scooter tech. There are some super fast scooters for cheap that have great performance like the Teewing GT4, but it’s not high tech at all and no app. Check out the ride finder on the electricscooterguide website. -Paul

    Hello new to your channel great content, I'm new to escooter, I realized a few things. protective gear is a must, but I need something easy to put on and off, can you consider reviewing protective gear like, knee and elbow pads, also flexible ones and easy to get on and off fast. I have already encountered from Brocken road causing me to fall which hurts by the way, sorry for long comment, but please help give me some good advise, thanks in advance

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  2 місяці тому

      That's a great subject, and we really should cover it. I haven't done much research on scooter-specific gear since when I'm testing, I tend to wear the same brands of motorcycle gear I've been wearing for 30 years now, which is ridiculously expensive for scooter riding. The suit I wear slides on in less than a minute and can even be worn over a business suit (I used to do it often when I commuted to silicon valley.) My gear is horribly expensive though, but serves dual purposes for me, since I bought it for commuting. I wear an Aerostich R3 (it was around $1,300 when I got it), and Arai Corsair helmet (about $1k), Held Phantom II gloves ($350) and I should be wearing my $250 hiking boots, but for some reason I keep filming in my slip-on Converse hightops, which for sure would fall off in a crash. -Paul

    awesome price to performance
    but one thing that really bothers me with these high power scooters, especially coming from the kaabo gtr
    why are none of them adopting the dual stem design? It's so much safer, it's actually the reason I refuse to buy any of them, because kaabo has spoiled me
    or at least come with a steering damper out of the box at least...? can't be that expensive to include for free...
    still hoping for a high power scooter to come out with it someday(that is not kaabo), this was not the one unfortunately haha

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  2 місяці тому

      The Teewing Mars XTR is another new favorite dual stem. I don't mind single stems if the geometry is good. Scooter companies are starting to really understand the rake and trail numbers they need to make a stable scooter. I've ridden scooters that felt unstable at 30 miles per hour, but the Hyperion was well behaved at 60mph. I definitely don't recommend that anyone try it though. Losing your concentration on any scooter at that speed can be a real problem. -Paul

      I have the inmotion rs and absolutely love the thing, build quality is top notch and the main reason i chose the rs is because of its beefy and overbuilt controllers. hyper scooters especially sine wave controlled ones have issues with burning the controllers out, gtr has this issue pretty bad. the rs's controllers are the last thing that will fail on it. just dont get the midnight version, its slower than the other yellow or blue ones for the same price
