I personally will always find joy in opening the tins I do every year. Is the set terribly bloated? Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck, yes. Will I still open 1-3 cases? Yes.
Sponsored openings either build hype or dread.
I'm not touching them. There's maybe, MAYBE a handful of cards I want, mostly for collector's purposes.
Rarity bumps for my melffys
@@thecalieffect im most excited about magic the gatherings new Halloween set
Yeah, and it's weird seeing the youtubers pretending to be excited about it when opening them but I get it. Buying singles is the way to go
The GLAZING was REAL!
The only one who seemed kinda honest is Jobber
They have to as its an ad
If they crack the tins and say they're crap Konami will raise an eyebrow
Poor jobber pulled a clone pack and had to act happy lmaoooo
Priestmarmore the problem with that is the independent seller and TCGplayer overpricing the cards we want, knowing they’re in demand smh 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
I did not expect much from the tin but konami still managed to disapoint me, I'm impressed
@@Darkcaius "our expectations for you were low but holy shit!" Lol
@@Darkcaius My expectations were low after last year but they somehow went even lower…bravo Konami!
Just like dating, go for singles not packs
@jojomations2596 this is quite hilarious.
singles still support the tins

Konami reprinting cards in high demand high rarity in the exact same rarity is such a Konami move
"Konami could learn from this"
Yes, but not in the way you hope

It’s TCG their the major problem in the game
Bro, they didnt reprint memento at all, it's legit ONLY the 30c field spell.. What a JOKE
No say it ain't so 😭😭
@@thecalieffectwhat would you recommend of how many tins to purchase?

I'm usually indifferent to how hard cards are to pull from sets, but the tins rub me the wrong way. My main gripe is that a lot of the reprinted commons in the set were already commons to begin with... like what was the point of that?
Look at all the prismatic cards that were secret
This is no longer a game. It's IRL NFTs
They want to turn everything in the game into Master Duel.
I think it's honestly a slap in the face when people have been begging Konami for years to do better reprints and then they hit you with a product like this. It just goes to show that they really don't care about their audience.
This is why I trust you, you feel like the only creator that doesn't sell out and speaks his mind 100% truthfully. Watching some of these tin openings where they say like "Oh thats...a good one" is so cringey to me.
because half of those people dont play the game, so they see only a price.they dont have a lot to stay anyways.
I don't agree with you guys. Everyone IS saying the tins are trash except obviously the sponsored creators who are forced to not say anything bad in the early openings. I haven't seen other openings but MSTtv's opening is pretty funny for the cringeyness that Nershedify said.
If people in USA/AMERICA stop buying and going to big YCS maybe they will start changing things (they dont care about what us(me and the rest) europe people do) or they will just remove game from tcg and stay in ocg in worse case maybe that is better in the end...
@@zenaki8088 they won't because competitive doesn't bring in as much money as you think lol
Probably wont change a thing. Tcg is already an afterthought of Konami. And Konami sucks a lot As a corpo.
They’re already seeing a noticeable decline in tournament participation because of their greed and card inaccessibility 😀
@@TheGreatSalsaMan And that is why we got THIS MEGA TIN( MEGA BIN!)
@@TheRealJohnuxWhat can be expected from a company that preys on old people with pachinko and gambling machines?. Those are the main source of revenue of Konami in Japan.
Saying buy singles is good and all, the card pool is horrible, but buying singles it will hit the stores because they have to open them and sell the good cards.
This is a lose - lose - win where only Konami win... The bottom line is that konami is horrible
What do you expect the have ruined everything they touch from Metal gear Castelvania to Yugioh and countless other franchises everything Konami touches goes to crap!
So I honestly wouldn't be AS offended about the tins as I am if the commons weren't just more copies of commons that nobody really wanted or needed to the point they are straight up just creating landfill for no reason. Like if they Made the tins have 3 packs with like 4 or 5 UR, 1 or 2 PSCR and the one QCR I wouldn't be nearly as annoyed even though the tins would still not be good.
And make konami spend 62 cents more for the extra foil? D:
Konami knows how to get what they really want out of their players, money. 😅
No its the opposite. People canceled all of their pre orders and I didnt buy a case because the tins turned out to be so shit.
I'm glad to hear that. Konami deserves the L after what they've done once again
I'm pretty sure that Komoney is just testing how they can milk the hardcore playerbase. They are in the gambling business after all.
some of those secerts should have been ultra and supers.
100% FACTS!
They even got rid of supers
If only these tins HAD promos like in the past, imagine pulling 5 cards always in every tin such as: TTTrust, Fenrir, Daruma + 2 more random cards(they could be TCG world premieres, ocg imports, alternative arts, hell even a token and people would still be happy)
People would be getting some value right off the bat, but nope, Konami choose ratios that could even make Genshin Impact rates seem fair.
They should have just made the QCRs a random promo pack like they did for speed duels and get rid of those damn commons and just make the mega packs a full holographic pack
My ots store hasn’t fired yugioh tournaments in 6 weeks straight when it used to be 20+. After this tins I wouldn’t be surprised if they pulled yugioh all together
There is only 100 Commons which is insane that there is the same number of commons as there is Secret rares in the set.
@@blackcatXII and the commons are just commons from earlier sets. Should’ve been downgraded cards
Ordered a case. Now debating the restocking fee or keeping the order. Sigh. Was actually hopeful.
How much is the restocking fee?
Do you enjoy opening packs or are looking for something specific?
I also ordered a case
@@thecalieffect It's 10%. So about $17. I like opening packs--such a rare thing to do these days--but I am looking for specific stuff. I'm very torn.
@ProseismyVision Well, $17 is almost giving up a mega tin.
If you genuinely enjoy opening cases hope luck is on your side. It is possible you can get some good things, but I think it's best to know what you're getting into.
Update: requested refund. I'm just going to order singles. Pre-orders for the ones I wanted added up to like 240, which is better than 170 and getting like 3 of the cards I need, and still having to spend another 170 on those after the fact. Womp. Hopefully Bonanza is better.
Greed is what it looks like . Konami is putting profit before people
I'm sorry my brothers and sisters...but i can't keep playing this stupid game anymore. The products keep getting worse and worse , with secondary prices and pull-rates , keeping the same route.
Guess its time for another TCG. I salute ya'll .
The new flesh and blood set is looking great 💜 all i will say
For anyone wondering about the odds of pulling any given specific card you want:
For QCRs given pack are 1/50, and you get 3 chances at that, that doesn't make the chances quite 3/50 (6%) because because there's nothing saying that you can't draw the same card more than once the odds are roughly 5.8%,
For prismatics it's 3 chances of 1 in 100, that's about a 2.9% chance of getting what you want,
And for the URs it's 9 with 1 in 150 which is also about 5.8%.
Or in other words Cali is absofuckinglutely right about this, those odds are shit.
On the bright (?) side a bunch of Yugitubers were worried about the reprints affecting resale prices of cards, but because of the poor pull rates this set will be less disruptive than they were anticipating.
Though personally I don't care about the value of my colorful peaces of cardboard and it wont make it much more easy for me to get some staples that I'mmissing, so for me that's still an L
@googleisacruelmistress1910 for anyone who wants to know what that feels like. Make a 40-card deck, and for every card you want, place 3 duplicate cards inside of that deck (for example, 3 Ash Blossom in the deck will represent the 1 card you are trying to pull, 3 Spooky Dogwood another, etc).
Shuffle you deck thoroughly and draw a set of 5 cards. If you draw two copies of the same cards, that would be equivalent to you getting the one card in a tin. If you shuffle and draw a new set of 5 cards 12 times that represents a case of mega tins.
Good luck!
That positive energy in the intro is the vibe we all need!
SOME good cards. The rest are sweaty cheek reprints
I seriously and firmly believe they should have dropped Magia in these tins as multiple rarities... If it doesnt appear in Bonanza Ill be convinced they want that card as a TTD
There is actually only 100 commons not 200 making the secrets the same number as the commons and that is outrageous.
This man is way underrated!
Props for your great work BIG DAWG!
🙏🙏
Konami proudly announcing reprinting card that were already secret as secret rare in the tin was a big red flag, s:p, chaos aangel, thrust and other should have been ultra rare, this would have given much more value to ultras and motivate people to buy the tin
Exactly, they've done it before, it was a bad move to do it the way they did now, it puts a bigger wall for people who actually need them and putting them with hoarders
Second year in a row where secret rares get reprinted as secret rares and I fucking hate it
Ive pulled 2x UR S:P + 1 QCSER S:P from a single box of AGOV (AE OCG)
I think it could have *maybe* been decent if they replaced an ultra with another secret, doubling the chance. That wouldn't fix the all the problems with the set, but it would at least make the pull rates maybe a bit better? Idk tho, as someone who just got back in a year ago (and who also unfortunately preordered a case) I am really reconsidering getting back into this game.
Im so glad I stopped paying for overpriced cardboard, until Konami stops smoking the Stardust Dragon I'll stick to EDOPRO.
@@qb3540 That's disrespectful to Stardust Dragon. Komoney was snorting SNOWDUST Dragon.
Singles is the way to go. Thanks big dawg. Today is Good Friday when Cali post videos.
OH WHATS THAT THEY SHORT PRINTED ALL YOUR GOOD SHIT? WHAT A FUCKING SURPRISE
Yoooh big dawg. You have a phenomenal day!
@@silverbane266 you as well!
Yeah I just updated my Floowandereeze deck and now I'm playing Time Rending Morganite. What figured is its Misc. for Floow and built properly its worth giving up hand traps for because you've got multiple ways to play around hand traps. The field spell gives you 2 extra chances, Morganite gives additional chance for the rest of the game, and Cowrie and Floows quick play allow you to dodge almost every hand trap. They have a good match up against Snake-Eyes due to the series of Floodgate Yu-Gi-Oh cards including Empen and everyone forgets that Empen lets you special summon but it doesn't let monsters on the opponents side of the field activate their effects meaning the birds are barbecuing those Snakes if they don't open any non-engine.
The glazing was unreal🤣 good point. like why cant they just say wow this set coulda been better.. does konami actually have rights on what they can and cant say or will they just not send them product anymore
That’s what I’ve been saying for the last months! And people thought I was capping! KoMONEY being such a scám and unfair smh. There’s just too many unnecessary prismatic secret rare cards. That, even if I buy 10 or even 20 tin boxes, I will not even pull a single triple tactics thrust, SP little night, Chaos Angel or even a bonfire, heck or even Diabellstar and Wanted sinfuls spoilers whether, combined or separately. Because of uncalled for reprinted cards no one really wants. And I bet they’ll be so short printed without saying it, that in singles they’ll still be very expensive. Classic KoMONEY robbery smh 🤦🏻♂️

Some of us wants the other cards that "nobody wants" and don't care abt the shit Meta cards just saying.😂
I think I'm done. Due to my work schedule I get to go to locals once or twice a month. Cards are crazy expensive so I wait for reperints and still end up getting staples at higher prices. I get to play with them for a couple of locals then they are reprinted again and banned. I'm tired of the circle of wasted money and waiting for better pricing while I'm punished for not having the new hit cards. I've been away since S:P came out and was planning on coming back once the tins drop, but i think I'm just done.
As an Exodia Millennium Main, I just wanna buy the QCR Exodia Parts from the Tin to Rarity Upgrade my Deck.
Man... now I'm glad i can't afford the tins case this year...
This is why you buy singles and not sealed products
Funny how the QCSE has 50 cards in its pool while the PSE has 100! You have a better chance of getting the QCSE that you like, than the PSE that you like. Definitely will only buy 2-3 tins and go for singles for the cards that I want if I ever don't them from the tins that I open...
My friend and I always buy a case together when new sets are released. This is the first time we we're debating on skipping it.
4:44 The GLAZZING
This Dueling Mirror Tin set has got to be some Yakuza conspiracy.
Heavy polymerization IN dinomorphia is gonna be CRACKED
Cali always has positive vibes. I love it even though I have left Yugioh behind. I love Yugioh and all, but I hate Konami. I'll buy singles to support my locals but will never buy product again.
I’m glad I didn’t sell my SP. Pulled it at the AGOV pre-release event, so I basically got it for €25. I knew they were gonna short print it in the Tins, it wasn’t worth selling it
So me just spending $70 on a single S:P Little knight that I needed was actually smarter than trying to get it from this tin. Awesome.
Thank you for being the voice of the people, big dawg 🙏
Have a good day Cali
As someone who's played vanquish soul basically since release, it's very disappointing to see the reprints having razen, borger, stake, rock (which we already have as a cheap ulti anyway) as prismatics and snow devil as an ultra (the only print im personally interested in) but then like, no mad love, no pantera in high rarity still, no VALIUS? literally not the boss monster?
As a result, mad love (which is often played at 1) is somehow the most expensive VS card from WISU now. borger was already like cheap as hell.
Pretty annoying, but at least the deck is cheaper. I suppose it's not super surprising since the best support we've got for VS this year was a playmat.
But centurion basically gets their core of primera and trudea with oath and legatia, which were all expensive, and will stay so until the tins release. all the missing cards for centurion are literal pennies to get your hands on. at least it's nice to pick up singles of these and be ready for its next support wave.
Yeah, I had a strange one, I got two speed duel battle city boxes for the promos. Got basically the same promos in two boxes. Two secret rare Dark Magicians, Gearfried and something else in the same order. It just wasn’t what I was expecting.
Aint no way your complaining about oh you need 3 cases of mega tins to pull 1 sp vs 1 case of age for a sp. Like dude if we do the math here 3 cases of mega tins is still much cheaper then a case of a main set at its realease. 600 vs almost 1k. Id still buy 3 cases of the tins for that chance then spend almost 400 more on a case of agov
Weirdly, no one so far has drawn alternative art for Dark Magician Girl
I saw one UA-camr get her.
Wait there’s alt art?
@@Lugiamasterbrony yeah but it appears that it is too rare to get
@@rockyprince11985 oof
The biggest problem with the Mega Tins is that it's not worth it to blow your money on it, at all.
L tin; I said this on another channel, but commons do NOT need common reprints. Give us formerly higher ratity cards as commons, or, in some few and far between scenarios, print past commons in a higher rarity. But DO NOT, for the love of God, give me another common print of Couple of Aces. 🤮 Give me a super rare Imsety, give me a common S:P, give me a common Quem. Just anything other than recycling the same common bulk that I already have buttloads of copies of in the same rarity. Lazy and such a waste. 😢
The more that I interact with the community (especially here and on Reddit) the more I figure out that people don’t actually want change, they want something/someone to b*tch at and be angry about to excuse the fact that they suck at the game.
You can present all the best and fairest rules in the world. If the game actually got fixed and they still couldn’t win, they wouldn’t be able to live with that reality.
Yu-Gi-Oh players are more interested in drama than actually playing the game. Freezing cold take.
Collected everything that I need for my favorite and will keep those cards but definitely getting into OP at this point
I like the reprints, not as much for the "premium" reprints like SP Little Knight, but for the 2nd and 3rd tier reprints that are now much more affordable. Also I looove the new art for Invoked Mechaba.
Also, if you want a specific card(s) especially on a limited budget, buy singles.
Heavy Poly about to go crazy in Lunalight 😂
I can see heavy polymerization being used to make the Guardragon fusion that requires 3 link monsters as material by banishing the weakest possible options from the extra deck. Saves on LP and summons big monster.
Also fun fact bout the tins.
They got QCRs from all the generations of the game , yet NOT EVEN 1 Pendulum lol.
What Agitates me about Thea is Konami had a chance to make a replacement that does everything Nibiru does but gives 2 0/0 tokens instead of 1 massive token and give it the restriction that you can't attack during next battle phase after its activation. They had a chance to make a healthier more modernized replacement for Nibiru so they could safely ban Nibiru on the next banlist. So many people want Nibiru to act similarly to Evenly Matched and Dark Ruler No More or they want it banned.
Who wants Nibiru ban?
@@Jaracara11 Its been something Yugitubers have been talking about since Apallousas' ban. It hits to many future strategies and keeps deck like pure White Woods and Sharks post Rage of the Abyss from having the success and recognition they deserve. It also creates a fairly big gap between fusion summoning and xyz, synchro, and link summoning thats only made bigger when Konami makes cards like Branded Fusion that forces fusion summoning to be good. They want it banned, errataed, or replaced by better designed card like the one I suggested that Konami could have made Thea like instead of giving us a floodgate that dies to S:P Little Knight.
What it comes down to is quality control. Konami hasn't had good quality control in years.
Imma still buy a case juat for fun 😂 them Quarter Centurys looks nice and are more feasible to get.
I like the honesty! Your my favorite Yugituber
8:56 ayo we finally have a good way to summon Contrast HERO Chaos
Yeah i know when i see the tins at Walmart i will be getting a tin or two just to solve the opening bug. Cardboard is just crazy expensive anymore and tins use to be the way to get them cards. Not no more😢
Still waiting for Duel Devastator 2...
This tin is exactly what I want from the game. But I don’t play modern so I get why people don’t like it. I’ve already preordered 3 tins from my card shop. Gonna try and get LaDD and the Kiaba token! Best set ever for me
The most disgusting thing about this set is that they're charging premium price for 1 year - 1 year and a half reprints that are most likely being nuke in the next banlist, Komoney at it's finest.
I'm hoping that the bonanza will make up for this. I think it may be possible, but partially unlikely due to the amount we need.
Fuck this tin. It's about to ruin the beginning and rest of my day
What makes me sad about this is that this was the perfect chance to introduce some decent reprints from chase cards the past 1-2 years. Maybe even set some good faith by introducing a few of them as commons. The most significant reprints in this set are PSR (or PScR if you want to type it that way) and there's little reason to expect a major price drop on them. But worst of all there's so much chaff that nobody cares about in there (even diluting the QCR and PSR list) that even pulling something you do want is so infinitesimal that there's no point to buy a tin if you are a player or collector. There only is a point if you are a vendor/reseller who buys and opens in bulk, to sell the most desired few cards for hundreds of Dollars/Euros.
And the sad part specifically is that this is once again a big confirmation that Konami would rather focus on selling to vendors and resellers than to the actual players and collectors. We've ended up at the point where most players would be extremely happy if Konami starts introducing commons for cards that are hidden behind a paywall due to how rare they are and Konami can't just give us that.
Imagine if something else works that way, like... bread. You'd buy breadslices in blind packs of 13. Only 4 slices of bread in the pack can be of the type most people want (let's say brown bread) and even then it comes in like 150 different flavours and 1/150 slices is the flavourless version that most people want. Bread or cardboard, this is insane. If you want to get into Yu-Gi-Oh! or just expand your decks it's just... only accessible through the secondary market by buying singles. Every full set Konami makes is simply not for the players and fans anymore, I guess.
Not the dj ak glazin LOL
Regarding S:P specifically, Konami has been making an effort to ban super generic extra deck cards like Barrone and Appollousa. I think they're using the tin to milk S:P before they end up banning it too, so putting it a Secret Rare in such a bloated set means they will sell EVEN MORE of these tins.
Might as well just sell full structure decks with secret rare and ultra rare 🤷🏻♂️ and just sell them for $30 each
I love this fanbase, last year they were complaining about cards not being shiny enough and not printing the copies of expensive cards enough and when the company actually does that its a problem? Never happy with anything lol
Loving the sonic unleashed night music….. is it spangonia or apotos 😅
Konami
Consistently finding new ways to rip off the community
Bro you ain’t lying, these guys get free boxes to open to promote, act excited, RIP Yugioh
watching ygo players be disappointed is peak entertainment that you can always get a helping of
Well they did reprinted things in vasm and that makes me so happy idc about how bad it is. I will buy half of the secrets lol
Biggest mistake I ever made was selling every card being reprinted here where it's proving to be even harder to pull. Plus I'll need a storage locker for the bulk if I buy a case.
Maybe it’s because I’m still catching up on newer stuff, but there seems to be a ton of discourse surrounding the game, card accessibility, and the product as a whole. Hopefully they learn and things get better but I have my doubts.
Konami really crapped the bed this year. The tin ratios are insanely bad with just about every valuable card in the secret slot, the padded ratios, and everything. I hope these tins bomb hard and it forces Konami to reevaluate their practices, but they've been getting worse every year since 2019, so not holding my breath.
Duel Devastator was a great set it had good handtraps, extra deck staples and main deck staples 56 guaranteed cards some better than others and some just relevant for MR4 formats.
Konami discontinued this because people only ever bought 3 ... or some other reason if RA02 would have been like Duel Devastator but with different rarities per box each but all the cards then it would have been better...
I’m still going to buy tins so me and my friend have a decent amount of bulk but what I don’t pull I will order online plus I already ordered presales of S:P, a playset of Bonfire, and the Snake eyes rarity upgraded reprints today so I have em out of the way with the exception of Flamberge and Poplar since already qcrs of em.
They only reprinted the Memento field spell. Nothing else.
Please tell me this is a lie. PLS!!
@@thecalieffectI wish it was. I wanted more rarity upgrades for my Memento cards. Also, not sure why the Icejade cards are in this set. They just got reprints in Battles of Legend.
@sinnohan2225 I refuse to beleive this for the sake of both of us. I'm confident that its in here, but it just goes to show with all of the tins opened we STILL didn't see all of the cards.
You know... props to you for sticking to Yugioh. I would not have faulted you for quitting the abusive relationship, but you a real trooper.
I'm an old Yu-Gi-Oh player. (Cloudians) All these new names got me confused 😆
What incentive has konami to improve the tins if people keeps buying them?
Idk but i think by reprinting the cards like diabellstar the black with and imsety its going to be easier for us to buy them as singles becasue they wont cost 22 euros but less like 5 or 6 euroa. Just a hypothesis.
Im just gonna buy singles of the alternate art cards and the horus cards. Dont plan on opening a single one myself
Well I guess I need to buy all tin cards early and not wait for stock to come in lol
I pre-ordered 9 tins to open them with my friends and to support my favorite ygo store in Paris but I know that I'll have to buy singles too :v
It's far than the best ygo product we had this year but there's still cool things in this one
Konami should bring back promo packs in tins tho
