Why do I feel like Jay & seafood is only a "boring" story because it's like Chapter 2749 of Jay's life as an anime protagonist.
It was a filler episode.
He talked about it before on the gaming channel. I don't remember completely, but in the past Jay ate a bunch of seafood of some kind (maybe sushi) and got sick and threw up. Afterwards he developed a gag reflex toward seafood.

I agree with Jay that my favorite part of writing is...writing. Drafting after finishing the outline. Writing the scenes you have wanted to write for ages. I know that a lot of writers would say I'm an alien for that, but that's how it is for me.

I have so much respect for writers. I write myself (completely unprofessionally), but only short stories. The thought of doing a book-length work is insane to me, I just don't have enough ideas in my head for that. Even my short stories aren't that good, they're just a poor man's Robert Shearman. I'm getting better, but the fact that Jay has managed to hone his craft to the point of being able to write stuff good enough to sell in a professional capacity, is so impressive to me.
You two make such a good video duo, thanks for this fun video :D

I definitely understand Jay's point on what programs someone is using in terms of professionalism. I've encountered proofreaders who aren't using Adobe, even though it's an industry standard. Most publishers I've worked for expect the proofreader to be using Adobe's comment feature, so when someone says they don't have the program, it begs the question of how serious they are in their profession. Yes, the programs required come with an expense, but that's part of being a professional. Business expense all the way.

1. I’d love to see board game playing videos, be it party games or more traditional sitting around a board ones
2. I would agree with your perfect anime points but would add a great soundtrack. Some anime has such great OSTs that compliment the characters/world/theme or add character in its own way that it really turns an A into an A+ or a B into a B+
These were all really great and interesting questions, I like that they ones that delved into both of their jobs as well as more fun ones. I fully agree with both of their assessments about what makes for good anime.

Character and pacing is so huge for a good anime, and DEFINITELY a lackluster ending can ruin a whole show sometimes; yuri on ice and demon slayer are ones I would say suffer a lot from rushed pacing

Man, I wish I could figure out the perfect medium for one of my interests. I love to create, just in general, but I've yet to find something that always works for me. Drawing just doesn't click for me anymore no matter how much I want it to, I love to write ideas and concepts but I have no interest in actual formatted written stories(I have this whole ass basically world that I just can't put into an actual story cuz I just, idk, don't want to), etc.
What doesn't help is I don't vibe with how most creative platforms function these days, especially game studios. Always wanted to be a concept artist forever ago, but after learning what it's really like I'd probably just blow my brains out, y'know? Just sounds depressing and horrible, and most aren't getting any better.
It's kind of a depressing thing I think about sometimes. The creative industries would chew me up and spit me out before I would ever be able to make something I'd actually want to see made, and I don't have the means to just make something on my own, so it's like this permanent sense of unfinished business I'll never see realized.
You know Jay there is also a Genshin manga so Zhongli could still count

Decent Stories
Don't rush things. That's my major issue with Sword Art. The first season could be amazing, if it was slowed down, by a lot. Turn the first season into 3 seasons of 24 episodes each. They are doing that with the light novel now, but it should have been done from the beginning. There are 100 floors of Aincrad, so you can have episodes where they clear a floor and make it to the next, while other episodes they don't even make it through one. Doesn't mean they have to cover all 100, but a solid 85 would suffice.
