    Got a ‘16 Defender HD10 with a 84” HD can am plow. Thing is a BEAST to say the least! Our driveway to our house at our lake is about a mile long and it blows in pretty good sometimes. It is not a problem for this machine. Neighbors sometimes think I got a grader in to clear it, it does that good of job.

    I'm thinking about a set up like that in the future thanks for showing us what it is capable of doing. I got a 60" on an ATV now but that looks a lot warmer and nicer as i get older lol. Thanks again!!

    With the toggle added that runs the winch/blade tilt, does the factory switch still function as well or does it become a dead switch?

      @@MainvilleATV right now I love looking at it in the garage every day when I go to/get back from work...once the weather warms up and I get my windshield and storage box installed and 3D print my new center dash mounting plate (for my switched 12V & USB ports) then the fun will start up again! Had 1 good ride in it last fall before we had to park it for the winter....this upcoming season is going to be EPIC though! 😀😀😀

    What's the difference between the hydraulic plow and just adding hydraulic angle to the regular blade? I know Polaris used to make a shifter handle that had up, down, left and right buttons built in. Seemed like a nice set up.

    • @MainvilleATV

      Nothing except this is straight from OEM and you wouldnt have to do it yourself.

    Not sure if you still answering questions. i bought a 23 XMR and i bought the exact same set up as you have LESS the 6" extensions on each side. So my question is the wings on the outer ends, do they still work good plowing on an angle left or right. Does it still throw the it to the side as like you would not have the outer wings. With the wings i mean not the extensions but the outer part that keeps the snow from going beside the blade. Also there is a lot of snow flying above the blade onto the windshield. I wave a full windshield but no wipers as it is a plastic stock hardened one. Would the rubber on top of the blade help me

      If you watched the video you'd know it's not my setup. This was a demo unit from the dealer and was sold not long after winter. It worked great, I can't say much past that

    Take the blade to a local do it your self car wash and give it a wax spray it will help protect it and it will keep the snow from building up on it.

      a much better idea would be a spray of fluid film. cheap car wax at the washes don't prevent sticking like a hand applied wax does. But a good coat of ff will prevent sticking and protect from corrosion .

      @@ontariobushcraft536 no, not at all, fluid film is readily available almost world wide. very easy to find in the states, and here, its in just about every parts store, crappy tire, and princess auto. and if not ff, lloyds ad 2000, and ad 3000, are basically the same thing .

    Would be curious how it would handle the same job if the snow was wet. Dry fluffy snow is easy to plow. The wet slushy stuff not so much.

    • @MainvilleATV
      @MainvilleATV  4 роки тому

      Simple, tracks. It has plenty of weight and platform to handle, traction would be its pitfall in wet snow. Easily solved with tracks and in some scenarios even chains.

    Those are a nice toy,a bit pricey for its size.The common rule of thumb is that it doesn't matter how much you can move but what you leave behind that everyone notices.Ive plowed ever since I was a young boy with a minimum width of 12 feet.When ever possible it was best winging with an extension especially at 20 mph.We were always accustomed to plowing hard drifted snow.Playing with soft fluffy snow was never an issue.We always said that if you can't push snow then you're not much good to have around!
