How quickly you all learn, play, and record these games is impressive. Thank you all for providing a great service to the community! You all and Heavy Cardboard are the two channels I go to for teaches/playthroughs.
Thanks again, for playing a game while explaining what you are doing, and scoring each round one at a time, so we can figure out how to play and a bit of strategy.. There is a lot going on in this game! Wow! I'm considering getting it!
I've been waiting for a really solid playthrough of this game since it caught my eye on kickstarter! The theming is just too cute. So glad you made this video!!
Wish I watched this before the KS closed! Looks like you both genuinely enjoyed this game, and was fun to watch you two play too! Naveen with his cheeky blues..
Haha yeah! The video was sponsored by Floodgate so we do our best to not include a remarks section. Now that the KS has closed we can definitely confirm that we are fans of the game. Really enjoyed the combination of quickness and thinky-ness for Vivid. It’ll come to retail though so there should be an opportunity to pick it up down the road 😊
I like the puzzle aspect of this and I like the theme, but I'm not sure I like this puzzle and this theme together. Is it just me? 😆 Regardless, its always fun watching you two play it out!
@@BeforeYouPlay I will defer to the board game experts. I’m not sure why I thought that. Maybe because some of the actions you can take after the memory tiles are taken have that stipulation. I probably just got my wires crossed!
Thanks for clarifying. I thought Monique said that it was a "minus 5"; I guess it's just "5 less than you could've had." Thanks for the playthrough! Game looks fun.
Still, even if he had scored this, it wouldn't be enough if Monique had managed to score her 18 points. But hey, it was still a nailbiter, I loved how much fun you had :)
@@FloodgateGames cool! I do know some designers put extensive developer diaries on BGG. These get thousands of hits on the forums. Lacerda does an extensive dairy with others. It is very, VERY, interesting to read these.
If this game interests you check them out on Kickstarter here - www.kickstarter.com/projects/floodgategames/vivid
Monique's realization at 34:19 and Naveen's devious chuckle....ha ha. Great game, guys! Looks like a lot of fun.
HAHA, he thought he was going to have a bigger spread in the end!

Just picked up this game and came back to watch. Close game!
Thanks! Hope you enjoy it

Haven't watched a video of yours for a while and when I finally got to it now I remembered how much I loved you guys. :)
So glad to see your playthrough, looks like you were having fun with this one.
Thanks
Thanks for checking it out! We had a lot of fun filming this one 🥳
I'm loving the theme of this game! It's one I've had my eye on, seeing the playthrough was super helpful :) Thanks!
Thanks for checking it out! Keep up the great work 🤩

This was such a fun episode to watch.
Looks beautiful even as a prototype. These guys created the formidable Elysium, so excited to get this one!
Great last round there Naveen for the win. Good close game!
Thank you guys for the playthrough! This game had me at Andrew Bosley art.

Great video (as usual)! Looks like a lot of fun, but the budget finally crashed over here, so no KS this month!
Also your shirt is super cute Monique!
The Klingon subtitles are still alive muhaha 🤣
Haha 😆 you noticed!!
Great runthrough! I feel a little guilty that I take pleasure in Monique getting frustrated. Haha! Another game you have convinced me to back! Thanks!
Is this game available for purchase through Kickstarter? It looks like a game my gf would love and I’m trying to get her interested in board games.
Don’t new fragments have to be paced in an adjacent hex with fragments?
From what we understand from the rules, they can be placed in any empty hex.

Does Naveen lose points for his unscored blue Moment Tile? Or was that taken into account?
i think he doesn't lose points, he just didn't get to score +5 for his aspiration color-blue-on that "unused"tile
Yes exactly, there’s no negative from what we understand in the rule book.

You guys ever played Mandala?
Naveen has but I (Monique) haven’t. Heard it was pretty good.
Hmmm, I wonder what inspired this game.... one thinks it’s a particular movie in the animation genre. 🤔
We just put up a Developer Diary if you want to read more about the inspiration for the game: floodgate.games/blogs/news/designer-diary-vivid

So Beautiful ❤️
It was a fantastic quality prototype for sure!!
