It really pisses me off ABC had this and almost immediately canned it! I had no idea they even made a tv series out of the movie. ABC must have done zero advertising for it because had I'd known I definitely would have watched because I was a big fan of the movie! I mean time travel,Jack the Ripper, and H.G. Wells, common so many possibilities!
To whatever producer that may see this, PLEASE bring Time After Time back for another season. I don’t think it’s unpopular with people it just didn’t have enough time to grow on people 🤞🏻
Oh and I think if John and Jane had a relationship that would definitely make it more interesting!
The most evil scene with the ripper was with Call Me in the background for music and how he popped something in the microwave, killed the house owner and by that time the microwave dinged and he ate his meal. I was trying to find that to share this, but I thought I'd share here

I can't believe they cancelled the show after five episodes. God forbid Hollywood and people for that matter gives something new a chance beside mind numbing sit-coms and detective shows to which I already know the plot since I've since the same shows 1000's of times with different titles and actors
is there any where in the uk you can watch this? seen the first 2 episodes and cant get any of the rest. cant even purchase from amazon and that has everything. its not even listed.

It bombed. The problem is that it was going to be another endless soap opera. Who wants to watch 10,000 episodes to see if Wells would ever catch the Ripper? Not for me. Otherwise, it would have been a great 4-6 hour movie.

It's really annoying that the never tell the true story of Jack the Ripper which is where they found out w dna that Jack didnt do any of the murders of those women his wife did. So the true story and most famous serial killer in the world is a woman boom sorry guys!!!! Truth look it up. I wont be watching this series. i wont watch any Jack the Ripper stuff until they do one and base it on the true actual story which is his wife was jealous and mad that hookers back then were walking the streets and married men were having affairs w them so she stalked and killed them. They even found a pair of her gloves at several of the crime scenes but back then women were not looked at to be able to commit such evil crimes but hahah ask any woman in real life how she feels about a woman cheating on her w her man u they will all tell u they have wanted to murder that woman or the man for cheating. THAT would make a better series NOT this crap. In fact I'd love a movie staring Laurie Metcalf as his wife that commits the murders. She was super religious and killed the women because they were dirty and un God like lol. HOW do people STILL NOT know the real story!!! Its super annoying. Doesnt anyone read or watch documentaries anymore u all suck!
I'm interested in where you found this theory, I've been researching Jack the Ripper for a while and I've never heard this one before
P.S. I tis more likely that 2+ women did this because of the strength, If you look at the pictures you'll see why (women weren't strong at all during those times, not much weightlifting going on) AND how do we know if it his wife if we don't even know who he is! Jack is one of the most common names and he started the 'trend' of naming unknown serial killers!
Its not a theory its a fact and it was just her. Do the research. The dna and gloves traced back to her and it woudnt take much strength for a woman against another woman esp if she drugged them and she was a nurse. Just look it up not a theory lol. I'm not a dumbass hipster that talks out my ass I have my Masters and Im 37 lol. So yes she did it its been proven you'll just have to find where they proved it. There were several docs where they do. She had more motive than he did even. She thought she was doing Gods work. It is in fact a theory. Nothing was ever proven and probably nothing can ever be proven. Too much time has already passed, so this forensic stuff is probably also not very accurate.
In doing quick research, this is only a theory. Creators would be unable to make a true "Jack the Ripper" story, as they do not know the name of the true culprit. In your theory, you say that it was his wife. However, from the research I have done, they said it was a midwife. Some say her reason was due to not having the ability to have children.
Everything about "Jack the Ripper", will probably forever be theories and speculations. So, to not watch a show because it does not align with the theory you believe in is really dumb.
